Separation In The NFC South

October 13th, 2024

Well, the Panthers gave it a good fight today but in the end the Falcons rolled them 38-20 in Charlotte.

That means the NFC South standing are as follows.

Falcons 4-2
Bucs 4-2
Saints 2-4
Panthers 1-5

The Falcons get the edge on the Bucs as they beat them head-to-head 10 days ago. The two teams play again on Oct. 27 in Tampa.

Joe likes the separation in the division, and the fact that the Bucs still have two games remaining against the hapless Panthers and the Falcons and Saints in Tampa. Advantage Bucs.

Tampa Bay is good enough to find its way to a No. 2 seed, Joe believes. The Bucs hold a tiebreaker edge on Washington (4-2) and the 49ers and Seahawks share a tie of the NFC West lead at 3-3.

congrats to all, tough week, helped my daughter clean up in St. Pete, am so impressed with the kindness and generosity in her humble neighborhood. Go Bucs.

  2. Let ‘em bake Says:

Atlanta still faces commanders, Vikings, Seahawks .. let’s hope they drop 2 of these….

    Big next 4 Games

  4. Saskbucs Says:

Yep next 4 weeks are huge. Wash is gonna cause problems for ATL. Hopefully the Broncos do as well. No doubt our schedule is tougher. If Bucs get to the bye week still tied or up on Falcons record wise… we should be looking good. Either way, win the division or not, we should be a playoff team with how these first 6 weeks have unfolded. NFC North gonna send 3 teams probably, South might send 2 .. East and West winners could be it

they gotta keep tucker in the mix with carries…

it’s not like a mike james flash in the pan years ago…

dude displays that “bowling ball x pinball style”…which is what you want in a back…

last year he looked like that, but he also looked like he was always about to fall to the ground – or run into the soil like a groundhog…

now he looks different – like he wants to stay up and bounce around for yardage

  8. Dave Pear Says:

Todd gifted the Falcons game to legendary Raheem. He’s likely to lose to the Panthers. Canalwater knows all he needs Dalton to do is throw 8 yard slants beyond Corpse Britt’s grasp and underneath the 30-yard deep shell. That Falcons loss is inexcusable.

  9. GoneGator Says:

I’d recorded that (Atlanta/Carolina) game and just started watching it when I decided to pop in JBF to check on the noise. Since you posted the result in the “teaser” for this article it saves me from having to watch the game. Thx a lot

Keep running the 2 RB sets. Some with Buck and Tuck, some with White and Buck, etc.

Best thing in the world is being able keep defenses guessing. We have a backfield to do just that. First time we’ve been able to say that in a long time.

  11. Dave Pear Says:

For this team to succeed, offense rules. Must continue to rule because Todd’s schemes are as obsolete as Lovie Smith’s old stale Tampa 2.

Todd’s defense is now giving up points commensurate with yards, as some predicted. This defense is in the bottom 20% in most categories and just gave up 200 yards in a half to a rookie stooge. Only Todd has that special capability. Oh yeah suddenly he wakes up and realizes maybe he gets fired if he lets that continue so he wakes up out of his coma and rushes the guys who know how to rush the passer. Duh.

    So tired of the Masturmind.

  12. Booger Says:

Let’s slow our roll on THE Playoffs, since I’m not sure we’re even “in” yet, if the season had ended today!? As of right now, we are in a ‘3-way’ TIE with both Green Bay & Chicago for the last TWO Playoff Spots outta the NFC. The Falcons OWNS the ‘tiebreaker’ for the South, & Detroit is currently 4-1. Washington in the East, San Fran (tiebreaker over Seattle) in the West, & the undefeated Vikings up North are all leading their Divisions. There are currently, 11 of the 16 NFC Teams at .500 or better!!!! ELEVEN. That Atlanta gamed just KILLED-US, & what a debacle at HOME against the froggin’ BRONCOS. Bucs should be the ONLY team in the League right now, at 6-0.

  13. Davenport Says:

    Baltimore
    Atlanta
    Kansas City
    San Francisco

Hopefully, this will be a referendum on Bowles future. Good, not great, teams. Nothing less than 3-1 is acceptable.

We have a chance to be the number one seed once the Vikings come back to earth 😳🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  17. Terry Ayers Says:

    Dave Pear,
Why so negative in every comment? Enjoy the wins and don’t be such a hater. The Bucs are balling out and Coach Bowels made the necessary adjustments at halftime. Don’t be a “Debbie Downer”, dude!

  18. heyjude Says:

Falcons are on our field. The Bucs can win that game. Keep going Tampa Strong!

  19. Esteban85 Says:

This team has proven that they can beat any team in this league and can lose to any team in this league. As much as Lee hates it, mindset and mental fortitude is what it’s going to boil down to with this squad. Who has the gumption to be the tougher motherf*#ker
