Cade Otton Could Be A Big Part Of Gameplan Today

October 13th, 2024

Rising production.

Joe has already documented how Bucs tight end Cade Otton rarely gets off the field. Joe isn’t sure if that is because he is quietly becoming a stud or because the other tight ends aren’t trusted.

The PFF tribe has noticed that Otton’s production; his numbers are up this year. So much so that would you believe Otton is a top-10 tight end?

That’s right. Otton ranks No. 10 for all tight ends in receptions.

So, as the tribe also pointed out, the slimy Saints are bad defending tight ends. Bad as in they are No. 26th-worst defense in allowing tight end receptions.

So, could Otton be a busy man catching passes from Baker Mayfield this afternoon?

  3. Jeff Says:

Cade’s hands are TERRIBLE. Dude drops more balls than Mike Evans. And BTW – Mike’s hands will keep him from making the HOF. HOF receivers have elite hands. Mike is average at best.

  4. Bojim Says:

    Sure Jeff. lol

  5. It’s brutal out here Says:

Yes Mike has had some cringeworthy drops but with the volume of passes thrown his way and team’s best defender, or two, on him most of the time no one is going to be perfect.

  6. It’s brutal out here Says:

It may be time to release Jeff from concussion protocol. Or, not.

  7. Proudbucsfan Says:

Jeff, stop with your trolling, you obviously know nothing about football. Show me where Mike Evans has more of a drop percentage than the top receivers in the game ? Show me a list that has Mike Evans in the top 50 of drop percentage all time ? I’ll be waiting a long time because he’s not. Go hate somewhere else.

  8. orlbucfan Says:

Jeff can’t have a concussion cos he/she/it has no brain to start with. ME13 has bad hands, huh? As does Otton. Righto, moron.

  9. unbelievable Says:

I will admit that Evans has had a few more drops this year than normal, but calling his hands average is laughably dumb.

He had one year where he had 2 games with a bunch of drops, which led to Joes #KYhands campaign… other than yet, yes every season he’ll have 1 or 2 drops on easy catches, but so does everyone.

  10. SenileSenior Says:

Evans catches passes in stride, over the shoulder as elite WRs do. He will drop one once in a while. So what!

    Go Mike!Go Bucs!

  11. SenileSenior Says:

Cade Otton is growing. He has quietly made it to top ten status. Sometimes it takes more than one season to develop into a quality NFL player. Could not be more pleased.

    Go Bucs!
