Report: The Licht House, One Buc Palace Only Have “Cosmetic” Damage

October 10th, 2024

Intact?

The two buildings the Bucs use extensively as a football team, One Buc Palace and The Licht House, were not damaged by Hurricane Milton based on preliminary inspections.

Per Ian Rapoport, there doesn’t appear to be structural damage to either facility, though “site surveys” are still being conducted.

Thus far, Repoport noted, only cosmetic damage was inflicted by Hurricane Milton. Sounds like some shrubs will have to be replaced.

So it seems the Bucs will be able to host the Crows a week from Monday night.

In other storm-related Bucs news, Mike Evans’ has pledged through his foundation to provide $50,000 to various organizations for storm relief efforts.

Really feel for the folks that have been impacted by this damage and who didn’t have the proper insurance. Now that Florida has done away with the one way attorney’s fee statute, the average “Joe” won’t be able to do anything other than to accept a lowball offer from their insurance company.
I have lived in Florida for 50 years. I currently live on the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs. Tidal water. Got pretty lucky with both hurricanes. Fortunate enough to have a camp in the Adirondack Mountains where I spend 4 months of the year, so I wasn’t there for Helene or Milton.
I finally convinced my wife that we need to get out of Florida. We haven’t slept in 5 nights. Enough is enough. We will become Mainiacs and rent in Florida from January through March.
Good vibes to all those who lost it all with these storms.
