Injury Report: Rachaad White Did Not Practice

October 10th, 2024

Sidelined this afternoon.

Joe is not going to sweat too much if a player on a Thursday doesn’t practice. There’s a catch to this, however.

If a No. 1 running back doesn’t practice because he has a bad wheel, well, that has Joe’s antennae up.

Rachaad White did not practice today. He apparently has a bum foot. Kind of hard to run well if you have a bad foot.

Yesterday, White was limited in practice. Today is a downgrade. Not good. Trey Palmer (concussion) and Christian Izien (elbow/groin) also did not practice as they are battling a concussion. Please don’t kill the messenger, “elbow/groin” is exactly how the Bucs have Izien’s ailment listed on the injury report. (Maybe Izien took an elbow to the sack?)

Graham Barton has a hamstring injury and did not practice, just like yesterday. Will Gholston, who has a knee injury, did not practice a day after full participation

Perhaps a Vet Day? Receiver Kameron Johnson has a bum ankle and he also did not practice.

Calijah Kancey and Luke Goedeke both fully participated in practice today. Of course, with Goedeke, it’s not physical with him. His eggs are still scrambled.

Joe Graham Barton also didn’t practice for a second day in a row with a hamstring injury…. that and izien are most concerning.

The Bucs top 3 safeties may be out come Sunday.

Gonna be a heck of a game.

  2. Christopher Schiefen Says:

I’m gonna be frank: this means more Sean Tucker. I’m ready. We know what Rachaad is after 3 years.

  3. ModHairKen Says:

Schiefen, don’t be Frank. Be Christopher.

And I think Tucker is going to breakout. He’s ready, too.

  4. Pewter Pirate Says:

A Bucs Fan: Barton was the biggest injury on that report to me as well along with Izien. Hope those LP for Winfield result in a FP tomorrow

  5. A Bucs Fan Says:

The more I think about Barton… he was probably hurt and that’s why he gave up that sack in the second half on a 3 man pressure. Bucs should sit him and let Hainsey start Sunday.

    What about Winfield ?

  7. Joe Says:

    What about Winfield ?

    “Limited.”

  8. GoneGator Says:

We need Rachaad. He’s still our best running back, best blocking back, best recieving back.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Walking Wounded

  10. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

elbow/groin? I have a big toe/knee/groin/shoulder/scalp injury and am “questionable” for Sunday. My brain hurts too!

  11. infomeplease Says:

Derrick Carr didn’t practice for the second day in a row! Tayson Hill either.

  12. Hearty Dikerson Says:

We literally can’t get through one practice without 2 guys getting injured. It’s getting preposterous.

  13. adam from ny Says:

rest him for a week………..f it, just rest him…

    long season ahead…

see what “buck & tuck” can do

Against the Falcons White had 3 Receptions for -6 yards. If White gets outside the Tackles their plan was to smother him. Between the tackles he is either running or blocking and 72 yards with 56 on one play helped with one score but little damage otherwise.

White is not the best weapon but the late screens and YAC have been Mayfield’s Bail Out play.

Saints are pretty good against the Run with just over 100 yards a game so any back that is in there will have about the same results.

Bucs might have to go along with Joe and throw more than the 50% Road average. Perhaps pumping the pass rate up it to 66% like at Ray Jay with a deafening crowd noise with be unstoppable. Saints are almost as bad against the pass as the Bucs.

Could be a shoot out with the Bucs having the advantage even without White’s YAC.

Unlike Jayden Daniel’s first start against the Bucs Rattler has had the luxury of watching the Starter prepare for 5 actual games and been able to see the action up close and what worked in certain situations. then you put the chip of being the 8th QB picked on his shoulder he might just play pretty well.

I don’t know if he will do enough to win but he has some pretty decent receivers to throw to.

As far as White the Bucs should rest him and see if they have a potential workhorse or 4th QTR Fumbler in Irving.
