Gentlemen, once again thanks for a balanced banter about this football team and the game that has shaken the faith of many of our fervent fans. But even with you guys bashing most aspects of our team (especially our beat to heck defense) I could sense something more in your round table discussion. I sensed a confidence going forward. You couldn’t hide it. Chiefs, Ravens,Niners? Bring ‘em on! We have a chance to finish 15 – 2. So thanks again Joes and Ira! That was just the confidence boost we needed!

With the defenseless coordinator this team has, we could give up 300 yards passing to Charlie Conerly.

As long as the defensive masturmind holds two jobs he’s proven to be incompetent at, the best hope is 9-8, for which one or both of the DC/HC package deal will be sent to the auto dealership franchise business.

Another great podcast! Enjoy the conversation.

Not to take anything away from Baker. He is doing very well. Kirk is still a wild card. But all I could think of too was how Cousins was able keep completing throws and was reminded of how good rookie Bo looked when we played the Broncos. Both had seemed frazzled at times, but were still able to get it done.

Yes, the closed domes have an advantage with the home-based noise. Now we go into the Saints dome. Kamara worries me. We all thought he was done. Never say never.

We need to bounce back. That is for sure. The refs didn’t do us any favors this past week. And the blatant face mask was uncalled. So there is that too. Go Bucs!

We need to do 3 things to improve:

    1) Finish the game with the same offense we start it with. STOP Turtleing!
    2) Find a way to defend the middle of the field in passing.
    3) Find some sacks.

IF we can do those 3 things, we’ll be fine.

Cousins threw for 250+ yards in the first half. As much as I don’t think Bowles is a good HC, I’m finding it hard to believe that he would want to start playing conservative on either side of the ball knowing that number right there was just from a half of football. You don’t call ‘code turtle (lol that’s classic btw), when you haven’t shown the ability to put the game away on either side of the ball. So what happened? Did Atlanta really shut down the bucs offense that thoroughly after the first half? Probably not, Imo. I don’t know, did Mayfield outplay his comfort zone and got uncomfortable, and decided to turtle? I don’t know. I hope that wasn’t it
We didn’t lose that game at the end, we lost it at the beginning of the second half.

I’m so glad someone else finally said it. Bowles is not a defensive guru.
