Vita Vea Ruled Out Against Broncos

September 21st, 2024

Will miss Broncos game.

Clearer heads prevailed at One Buc Palace today.

Yesterday, Bucs coach Todd Bowles teased Bucs fans suggesting that Pro Bowl defensive tackle Vita Vea could return after spraining an MCL in the win over Detroit, which would have been an extraordinary recovery.

Alas, Bowles did not wait until Sunday morning to test Vea’s knee. The Bucs have declared him out.

This is smart. The schedule gets significantly tougher after the Broncos game until the bye week. The next two months very easily could determine if the Bucs win the division, play in a wild card or start worrying about the draft come Christmastime.

The Bucs need Vea for that stretch run. No need to rush him back and next thing you know he doesn’t play until next September.

Greg Gaines is an adequate replacement. The Bucs has a lot of depth on defense

yeah playing against payton, vita must sit this one out…

Best to rest Vita for this game. No worries

Need to rest him next game also. The eagles are trash with no defense it shouldn’t be a problem beating them either.

Broncos gonna steal this one because of Bowels Camp Cupcake bullcrap where Bucs players did not get in game shape and are now injured. Hide and watch.

Crunchbozo, get lost, troll! You are BOR-ING. Glad VV is resting. Payton is a POS. Shame the Broncos made a major goof hiring him. Go Bucs and be careful!

  8. Saskbucs Says:

Get Vita and Luke back for next week.
Winfield and Kancey back for short week Thursday game vs Falcons.

That would be ideal in my mind.

Good decisions. Take care of the sprain. Yes, we do need him back for the Eagles or Falcons game. Yikes, reading the last sentence I sure hope it’s not a season ending injury. Vita has been in good shape and with all the rehab should heal faster.

Also agree with Saskbucs – “Vita and Luke back for next week.” And “Winfield and Kancey back for the short week.”
