Bucs To Face Alex Palczewski, Denver’s Justin Skule

September 21st, 2024

Drooling.

The dripping sound in the distance might be YaYa Diaby’s drool hitting the floor.

Diaby will start off the left edge for the Bucs on Sunday against the pitiful Broncos offense that throws the third-most passes per game because it’s usually playing from behind.

Across from Diaby will be Broncos backup right tackle Alex Palczewski. He’s got two career snaps. Undrafted out of the University of Illinois in 2023, Palczewski is not known for being much of an athlete, whereas Diaby is a freak-of-nature manbeast.

Now Joe is not likening Diaby to Lions monster Aiden Hutchinson, who abused Bucs backup right tackle turned starter Justin Skule last Sunday. But Diaby will have a massive athletic edge on his opponent this week.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton gave Palczewski a vote of confidenc after starting right tackle Mike McGlinchey was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered Sunday against the Steelers. McGlinchey, a five-year 49ers starter, signed a gargantuan free agent contract with Denver in March of 2023. He’s a significant loss for the Broncos.

Joe found a fun Payton quote from this summer when Payton said Palczewski is lacking first-team experience and “I think he’s someone we’re pleased with.” What an endorsement!

Will the Bucs find a way to abuse Palczewski? Or at least take advantage of his inexperience?

Todd Bowles should be a master at such an undertaking.

Diaby is 6th in pressures….time to get some finishes!

  2. Hodad Says:

What does it say if YaYa goes sack less yet again?

  3. Lakeland Says:

Jared Golf threw 55 passes against the Bucs, and wasn’t sacked once. It’s not like he has escape ability, he’s a statute, no mobility at all.

I have a lot of faith in the Bucs winning this game

But I’m sure about the sacks

  4. Lakeland Says:

    *not sure about the sacks*

  5. Watch More All-22 Before Commenting Says:

“Denver’s Justin Skule” thems fightin’ words in Michigan!

  6. gp Says:

With a name like ‘Palczewski’, he’s probably pretty tough.
Not quite like a boy named Sue (I’m dating myself, some would say that’s normal now?)
More along the lines of “Hey Pal!”…I’m NOT your pal!!!

  7. PanhandleBuc Says:

Our pass rush needs to get home and show us! Not impressed so far…

  8. Austin Says:

Eh, just get the dub, focus on coverage. Our pass rush with improve exponentially when Kancey and Vea are back together

  9. A Bucs Fan Says:

Yaya Diaby has the 3rd highest win % of any DE/OLB behind Watt and Hutchinson. He’s also got a 28% pressure rate this season which is basically quadruple what he had his rookie season so far.

The sacks will come. Hopefully this weekend is just the beginning.

  10. Lakeland Says:

I’m glad CJ Brewer was signed to the active roster. This would have been his 3rd and final elevation. They waived CB Keenan Isaac from the active roster, to make room for him

I still don’t see the purpose of keeping 4 TEs

And l don’t trust Kancey being healthy

    who shall be worse

  12. D-Rok Says:

When someone asks how I feel about my wife, sometimes I respond with “I think she’s someone I’m pleased with.”

Please abuse this fool, Yaya. All us married clowns need to see it.

    LOL!!!

  13. Beeej Says:

I always introduce mine as “my current wife” (32 years now)

  14. Saskbucs Says:

Yaya sack at +135 looks ok to me.

  15. Jack Burton Mercert Says:

Yeah but Diaby has been a little bit of a disappointment so far this season.

  16. orlbucfan Says:

Hey Joes, does Yaya need a rabies shot?😂 I have been laffin’ at the wife jokes on here for years. I have the opposite problem: My old man is not a sports fan. However, he worked in both audio/video hi-tech his whole career, so we have our own broadcast entertainment areas. That’s why you see me making comments about time delays, etc. It was his mother, my beloved late MIL, who turned me on to the Bucs. Go Bucs!!

  17. Darin Says:

Skule will get help this week. So will the other guy. Welcome to the world of the NFL Joe. Adjustments made so other guys not expected will make plays. The narrative is never clear

  18. BucU Says:

F Callijah Kancey. A true paper tiger if I’ve ever seen one. Pathetic.

  19. Pewter Power Says:

If nobody can get home today it’s time to go out and get a real pass rusher because it’s not going to get easier. I know people make it sound easy but their qb would probably rather throw a pick than take a sack
