From Extreme Loaf To Critical Sack (Videos)
September 8th, 2024Joe confesses to going absolutely mental in the first quarter today when Joe Tryon-Shoyinka was guilty of one of the worst loafs of this Bucs decade.
You can see the video below, Joggin’ JTS got embarrassed. Why was he jogging? Joe has no clue.
Frankly, Lavonte David and Yaya Diaby stopped pursuing the ball on the play, too. It’s the first quarter, guys! C’mon.
Regardless, the Tryon-Shoyinka loaf was worse considering he’s the one who lost contain on the right edge and was chasing Washington QB Jayden Daniels out of the pocket.
Halftime came and Joe hit the showers and the Crown Royal to calm down. And then Tryon-Shoyinka delivered a third quarter strip sack off the right edge. He overpowered the left tackle with speed and power and delivered a crushing second-down blow to Daniels.
Fellow edge rusher Yaya Diaby helped get Daniels off his spot with his own beastly edge rush on the play. For a brief moment, Joe had flashbacks to 2019 and 2020.
Joe sure hopes that sack inspired Tryon-Shoyinka to player harder and to stay relentless. It’s almost impossible to succeed in the postseason without a consistent edge rusher.

He looks like an old guy in that pic

I HOPE now people will stop using that word for him because you don’t loaf in a contract year of money is motivation. Now that idea is out the window stop counting on him for sacks. We have no pass rush, in this defense we simply have blitzers
September 8th, 2024 at 9:31 pm
Yawn.
September 8th, 2024 at 9:43 pm
Honestly I think he thought Daniels stepped out of bounds on that play. No excuse but i didn’t think jts had that bad of a game. I think we gotta look into trading for Reddick. This team is a dominant edge rusher away from being something special on defense.
September 8th, 2024 at 9:46 pm
If he gets a sack a game I’ll be happy to franchise him to see if he can do it again
September 8th, 2024 at 10:00 pm
JTS had an excellent game. His loaf wasn’t a loaf. He didn’t have the angle but he continued pursuit. That’s not a loaf. He almost had another sack a few other times.

Watch JTS’s play on the Robinson TD run. Dude has terrible instincts. Nice job on the sack though. He’s a situational guy at best.
September 8th, 2024 at 10:12 pm
Was fustrated with that play too but he made up for it and had a good game overall, still has no room for error gotta keep it up or he can lose snaps fast
September 8th, 2024 at 10:14 pm
JTS is going to be a good backup when Braswell takes the starter role.
September 8th, 2024 at 10:18 pm
Hey JTS..need motor motivation..see Crosby/Hutchinson effort levels…match them and you’ll be glorious
September 8th, 2024 at 10:19 pm
“One of the worst loafs of this Bucs decade”? Hahaha! What is this site, again? Chicken Little (CL)BF.COM?
September 8th, 2024 at 10:28 pm
JTS always almost has a sack. Almost was the sack leader for the last 3 years almost isn’t gonna get him that contract. Joes shouldn’t even be putting the question out in the atmosphere hmm I wonder why it’s only said about certain Bucs players none of which got a second contract.
September 8th, 2024 at 10:31 pm
JTS had one of his better games in the last two years. I was disappointed in Yaya’s play. He was pretty nonexistent other than that play helping JTS.
Washington is not a very good team, but regardless, fantastic start for the team
September 8th, 2024 at 10:33 pm
Give me a break on that being an ‘extreme’ loaf – he clearly thought he was going out of bounds and if you touch a QB going out of bounds you’re getting a 15 yard penalty, if not thrown out of the game.
September 8th, 2024 at 10:39 pm
Once again JTS leads the Bucs in sacks at the beginning of the year. Let’s see how the year goes.

Austin Says
‘If he gets a sack a game I’ll be happy to franchise him to see if he can do it again’
A sack a game???? 17 sacks?!
If he gets 17 sacks, we should all thank God for a miracle!
September 8th, 2024 at 11:59 pm
C’mon Joe, that was not a loaf by JTS.
We’ve seen his loafs in the past, and this one wasn’t one in my book.
If you think JTS is taught to pull up and not play to the whistle, then Joe’s not sure what to say.–Joe
He was behind Daniels and Daniels was running towards the sidelines where Whitehead was right there. All of the sudden Whitehead is shouldered out of bounds and Daniels tiptoes down the sidelines…
Totally disagree on that one….
September 9th, 2024 at 12:28 am
jts is the best thing since sliced bread…
but does that mean he’s a loaf or a loaf of bread ???
September 9th, 2024 at 12:48 am
JTS had a huge sack/FF and a pretty good game overall. I agree with the above posters who feel his confusion on the sideline play was not really something to blame him for based on the NFL rules. Also I agree with the poster who said it’ll be a great season for him if he has a sack every game and finishes with 17. If he finishes with that amount of sacks, he’ll be the pass rusher to absolutely guarantee we win the SB this season, so I’d be plenty pleased by that!

Joe, why do you love to hate on this kid? Save some for Yaya, who seemed invisible
Also, you bemoaned the loss of CD3 who almost lost the game for Detroit with his customary slips on turf. You seem to get locked into your own narratives and view players with very subjective blinders. New Year, game 1, clean slate….go
September 9th, 2024 at 8:52 am
It was not just the loaf play Joe. He showed up in a bad way several times in the first half. Looked like he had never heard of contain against a dude he knew was apt to take off. That to me is a cardinal sin.
Get someone who has some clue how to play the edge Jason! His strip sack will make up for it in some folks minds but not in mine.
Go Bucs!
September 9th, 2024 at 10:46 am
Yaya got pressure early but Daniels was too mobile. They adjusted their pass rush plan. I hope he breaks out against a less mobile Jared Goff next week.
September 9th, 2024 at 11:00 am
Loaf – yup. Maybe not his ‘worst’ – but he clearly didn’t give it his ‘all’.
He was pushed out of position – it’s his job to contain against the outside edge…
Looked to me like he was jogging over to the sideline…
Seems he is ‘almost always’ in the wrong place and takes poor angles.
He’s not playing like a first rounder. Period.

How many back ups did we have starting on the line?
Wondering what it would have looked like with Cancey in there.
September 10th, 2024 at 3:39 pm
ha always loses contain because he always takes the inside rush. the one time he didn’t go straight inside he got the sack. duh1
