Cheap Bucs Tickets Available For Opening Day

September 8th, 2024

Keep in mind Joe is typing this before sunrise, so the info here could be old news by the time you read it.

Bucs tickets for today’s clash with Washington have been plummeting in price on the secondary market.

At StubHub.com, Joe is seeing pairs of seats (two together) starting at $27.00 each ticket, plus fees. There are plenty in the $30 to $40 range, as well.

For those wondering, the game is not sold out. As of last night, there were less than 1,000 unsold seats for sale at TicketMaster.com (not verified resale tickets, actual unsold tickets.)

Perhaps it’s the solid threat of rain? Joe doesn’t think it’s because the US. Open Men’s tennis final will be on or the UEFA Nations League match in Spain.

Regardless, it’s a great chance to see a game at a somewhat affordable price.

How do you explain this, Joe? First game of the season, all I hear is hype. Do we need to have Brady to sell out?
    Frustrating

  2. aleyz2020 Says:

Yeah, unless the radar clears up, this is likely to be a wet one.

Yeah Joe i don’t get it. With the stock markets at nearly all time highs; this cannot be a sign of a slowing economy, can it? I mean the Bucs are fielding a good team too!

  4. FortMyersDave Says:

Man, I remember sitting in the south end zone of the old Sombrero with my dad in the late ’70s. Tickets were 6 bucks but went up to 9 in the early 80s. As an FSU student I remember getting decent seats for 20 dollars in 1988 when the Bucs upset the Bills 10-5 and then beat Detroit 21-10 on a cold December day to fall to #6 in the 89 draft and getting semi-bust Broderick Thomas while Detroit, KC and the ATL got Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas and Neon Deion right before Tampa picked. Heres to the Bucs pasting DC and not grabbing their ankles out of the gate.

Possibly by this afternoon some of the seats will be bought up. On the other hand the heat, rain, and being late in the day could be stopping some. I am wondering if it had been a 1:00 game, it may have sold more tickets.

Do you mean Cheap and not Cheat?

  7. George R Says:

When will the schedule makers figure out afternoon games in Tampa in September is asking for lightning and rain delay. Play them early or at night.

  8. heyjude Says:

True that, George R. Plus school just began in this area too. NFL schedule makers sure didn’t do us any favors for our first game being late in the day for attendance. The Dolphins, Bengals, Bears, Steelers, Falcons, and others got the early time 🙁

Hey Hey Chucky is back in the Ring of Honor.

Now we can all stop boycotting Team Cancel Culture and go back to the games.

  10. HC Grover Says:

    27 is reasonable.

WHO’s to say that the schedule makers don’t want a couple games a year in Wind, Rain, Sleet, Snow?
The rest of them our pretty much the same. Advantage or not, both teams and the fans get to experience it together.

Dare I say it’s a part of the game. Eventually though, all games will be played in climate-controlled venues. Can’t have the flags getting too slippery and no one really wants to wear cleats anymore.

FtMyersDave – that end zone is from where I saw the 1979 NFC Championship game, the heartbreaking 9-0 loss to the Rams. Lost in the euphoria of the Eagles playoff win the previous week, was the fact that we lost a couple starting O-linemen to injury and were playing bartenders to try to open holes for Bell and protect Doug. There were no holes, nor protection. Also the game where Jack Youngblood played on a broken leg.

    That was a glorious season.

I thought Baker was brought in to sell tickets?

    Whomp whomp.

  14. AMI_Chris Says:

People are addicted to their 65” HDTV, air conditioning and comfortable sofas. And not hearing deafening music between every play.

You might be on to something.

I bought my season tickets in support of building Ray jay.. and the 10 years That I held them were awesome (great time to have them). The fans were a big part of the experience. Gave up my Tix when I moved out of state.

Went back to a MNF game against Pittsburgh, the “sorry Ben” game.

It was like trying to watch football inside of a very loud video game. Fans not really even engaged…

Aw, man, that is a picture of the section I sat in from 1998-2009. Sec 343, Row W, Seats 1-4. Later reduced to 1-3. Near the end just 1 and 2.

One year of Raheem plus the 2008 market crash spurred me to use what little money I had more wisely.

  17. churrasco Says:

4 years of communist policies will do that to an economy.

Baking in a stadium that’s 100 degrees and $20 warm beers!

    Whats not to like..

  19. aleyz2020 Says:

Watching the radar I keep hearing the “Jaws” theme. We may need a bigger boat!

  20. Mike Johnson Says:

Not knockin cheap seats. There is nothing like being at a live game..the atmosphere..the smell of the game. But Nothing beats that NFL Sunday ticket with an 80-inch screen and the surround sound either. For those of us who live out of our home state, you can’t beat it with a hammer.

  21. aleyz2020 Says:

There’s nowhere I’d rather be than the highest spot in the stadium when the first lightning bolt hits! That’ll soil your Jockeys!

No s#it? That’s awesome! Thanks, Glazers, for correcting that!

Watching a little of the Carolina/New Orleans game. Canales looks in way over his head—0-30 Saints at halftime. Baker made Canales last year not the other way around. Canales still trying to run up the middle on 1st and 2nd down.
