Mike Evans Understands His Greatness

Mike Evans is no chest-pounding gloater, but he let a little bit of that cocky side of him slip out to media yesterday.
“…When I’m feeling really, really good, I’m definitely one of the best to ever do it,” Evans said.
“So, it’s just trying to focus on that, just feeling good all of the time, and then when the balls come my way – focusing even more.”
The fun part off that for Joe was Evans wasn’t asked about where he ranks among all-time greats or to reflect on his career. The question was how Evans feels he can improve this season.
His focus is on health. Rightfully so. It’s not just about staying on the field; it’s about feeling great on the field and not dragging to the finish line, which hopefully is 20 games away.
On Sunday, Evans gets a weaker-than-most secondary from Washington, and maybe (just maybe) a Bucs run game that helps open more up for the team’s greatest-ever receiver.

Mike has a history of going off on the Commanders and he has played against Dan Quinn’s defense a bunch during his time in ATL. It would be awesome to see a 150 yard 2 TD day from the future HOFer.

What’s as impressive to me as Mike’s yardage is that he got those numbers with a WIDE variety of QB’s from the GOAT to Mayfield to Glennon to Fameis to McCown didn’t matter! ME just goes out and does his job.

It’s about time HOFamer ME13 tooted his own horn just a little bit! He, LVD, and WillG stuck it out on some really putrid Bucs teams. Now, he’s feeling good and sporting a SB ring. DC better be ready cos class act Mike and posse are going to put up some Central FL fireworks (here’s hoping). Go Bucs!!

I just checked. Evans has averaged 121.5 YPG against the WFT/Commanders. Best against any franchise. This should be good
