Trey Palmer Has A Concussion Issue

September 4th, 2024

The Bucs haven’t played a preseason game in 12 days.

That’s on Joe’s mind because receiver Trey Palmer appeared on the injured list today with a concussion issue. If the head injury happened in that game against Miami, then it’s a significant amount of time for Palmer to be dealing with it. Palmer practiced today, but typically still being listed with a concussion means a player hasn’t beeen cleared for contact.

Of course, Palmer could have fallen in the shower over the weekend or hurt his head by banging it against a wall after seeing all the predictions of the Falcons winning the NFC South this year.

Joe hopes this is a big nothing and Palmer is ready to roll Sunday. Not only is he possibly the Bucs’ No. 3 receiver, he’s listed as the No. 1 punt returner on the depth chart.

That will do on the injury news Joe. Lol

Calm, need calm – everything will be fine. Talking to myself.

Agree Joe. Thinking maybe he fell or maybe he was working out at home and did something to himself. Hope he is okay.

60% of concussions heal in two weeks. 80 in 2-4 weeks. 95% in 4-6 weeks. 5% suffer symptoms beyond six weeks and are reclassified to complex concussion/mild TBI. He was cleared for contact today so it seems he is falling within the 2-4 week range.

Multiple National Experts predicting ATL at 12-5.
I haven’t seen anyone who has us in the playoffs.
What do they see or not see?
TB 10 wins Atl 8 wins

    Walk it off, cupcake.

The bigger issue is that Bowles has 87 defensive backs on the roster and only 5 WRs, so if one goes down, you only have 4 left. Would be surprised if they don’t make a roster move if he’s not able to go.

Speaking of defensive backs – I read Whitehead didn’t practice for all of August. Is that true? I’ve not heard anyone bring that up, unless I missed it. He’s not on the injury report.

@Thunder – The only two analyst I saw having the Bucs with 10 wins or more is Gerald McCoy and Trevor Sikkema of PFF who has the Bucs at 10-7 and winning the division.

@Rod Munch Whitehead did missed a month with a quad injury. He is listed on the injury report as a full participant today.

Even the most minor injuries have to be reported today.

Hey, Todd’s a genius. The defensive oracles assure us of this. He has special plans never seen before, he’ll show everyone. Just watch. He has evolved.

Plus when you want to run a 1964 offense, who needs WRs anyway.

    Go Jalen!

  11. RustyRhinos Says:

    Hey there, Dave Pear.
WRs Johnny Morris and Terry Barr would have liked to update your knowledge base on those 1964 Offensive teams they were a part of,Morrise had 93 receptions for 1200 and Barr had 57 receptions for 1030 yards in only 14 games respectively… “Silverbullet over ice” Mike Ditka a TE had 75 receptions for 897 yards.

Yeah, and also in 64, the great Jim Brown was the rushing leader with 1446 yards, and Charley Johnson had 3045 yards as the passing leader.
Yeah the ways a team scores in football have changed over the years, Rushing was the main attack. Way back when Sammy Baugh started playing the first of his 165 Pro Football games. Baugh only passed for 21,886 yards in his Football career, on 1693 completions on 2995 attempts.

So Yeah I get it it ain’t 4 yards and a pile of dust anymore. Now it is a quick slant, bubble screen, deep post, and crossing patterns. You can’t hit the QB or WR as much or as hard as they used to.

    Bring ON the COMMANDERS!!!

YAYA TIME is about to begin!!

    GO!!!!!BUCS!!!!!
