45-Man Roster Should Be Telling
September 10th, 2010Joe’s real curious to see what Buccaneers are wearing a helmet on Sunday for the season-opener against the Browns.
The announcement doesn’t come until hours before the game.
Joe’s eyes are the running backs. With the head coach championing the presence of “Insurance Graham,” just how many ball carriers will get a sniff?
Cadillac Williams is the workhorse (how scary is that). And after him comes the no-experience running backs trio of Kregg Lumpkin, LeGarrette Blount and Kareem Huggins. This isn’t a scrimmage, so there’s no way all of them are wearing a helmet. And Joe wouldn’t be stunned if only one was.
Does Raheem Morris send a loud message and keep Sabby Piscitelli on the farm for the afternoon?
Joe isn’t seeing all five safeties being activated, and Cody Grimm and Corey Lynch have special teams value.
And given the recent minor injuries to Davin Joseph and Keydrick Vincent, Joe thinks it’s possible the Bucs could go with three reserve lineman, versus the typical two.
Some stuff to chew on as Sunday morning approaches.

Joe you made my day…
“Does Raheem Morris send a loud message and keep Sabby Piscitelli on the farm for the afternoon?”
TOOO funny

Does anyone else think this silly 45 man rule should be done away with? It’s not like more than 11 can be on the field at any one time. It seems it makes injuries more likely when players who are hurting have to play because of a lack of backups.

Caddy, Huggins, and Blount should all suit up. I can’t imagine them only keeping two RBs active considering William’s history. That would be a very risky move by Morris and could come back to bite him in the ass. They need to see what they have in these young guys cause that’s all they have to work with. Might as well try them out early on.

Got my lucky Brooks Jersey and original bucs hat ready to go……….I hope my negative thinking is disproven and the lads come up with a victory.
Sure could use one.

Cadillac Williams is the workhorse (how scary is that).wow joe you are a hater,,,im gettin sick of the downer in you
September 10th, 2010 at 8:15 pm
Caddie is a running back that, since his first three games of his rookie year, has never been great, has a 3.8 ypc average, is almost 30, and has to completely rebuilt knees. It is scary. It is reality.
September 10th, 2010 at 8:35 pm
eric, I’m with you. I was thinking about wearing my old Brooks Jersey on Sunday too. I am totally pumped up for this and it’s finally here.
September 10th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
Joe’s been saying all week how he is skeptical Freeman will start. I would imagine he will not be on the active roster. Where is Casey Weldon when you need him?
September 10th, 2010 at 10:38 pm
Casey Weldon!
LMAO………….
September 10th, 2010 at 11:25 pm
for the blackout tour, are those 2 tickets still available joe?
September 11th, 2010 at 1:08 am
Wow, we’re so thin at running back and they still have our best running back at fullback. They’ll run Lumpkins before they give Graham the ball.

Time for the young guns. To early for Bloubt though
September 11th, 2010 at 4:35 am
Whoops. Meant Blount
September 11th, 2010 at 4:48 am
Caddy locked in for 1200 yards this year. Or so I hope
September 11th, 2010 at 8:56 am
The Bucs v Brown game is actually the worst matchup this weekend.
Think of all the great college games today! Tomorrow, there will be some exciting football action as well… CBS is most likely thanking God almighty that they don’t have to show the Bucs v Browns game Sunday! LMAO
September 11th, 2010 at 9:43 am
What a loser you are. The Bucs/Browns game is the best match up of the week. If you don’t think so, how can you call yourself a Bucs fan?
September 11th, 2010 at 10:26 am
The Bucs game is a terrible game this week. There is plenty of other football to watch that will be far more exciting than the Bucs boring, sloppy, losing effort… or lack thereof efforts.
September 11th, 2010 at 10:29 am
And lets hope Freeman doesn’t run off the field after yet another 3 and out.
When he jogged off the field last year, cheesing after a sloppy 3 and out, I want to reach out and slap him.

Can you tell my zero expectations have morphed into complete disgruntled outlook?
No lie, I don’t think I can identify with this team anymore. It’s not even a kind of team I can get behind.
I’m out, done.
Later.
September 11th, 2010 at 10:59 am
@Zero Expectations – So we won’t have the pleasure of your witty and always negative analysis? I’m relieved. Go Bucs!
September 11th, 2010 at 11:00 am
Don’t let the door hit you in the a$$.
September 11th, 2010 at 11:14 am
They will probably play Caddy and Graham with a mix of Huggins, and keep Pressley active as an extra FB. That’s 4 RBs, they’ll be fine.

Today is a great day for College Football. I wish USF and the Gators were at RayJay instead of the swamp. I’d be there. It’s nice to see the Cowards in the Big 10 finally venture out of their comfort zone and play real teams like The “U” and Bama.
Tomorrow will dwarf today in proportion. The Bucs’ opener is the “Biggest” event on the Planet. Anyone who feels differently doesn’t belong on this site.
September 11th, 2010 at 12:49 pm
If USF beats Florida, Ray Jay will sell out for the Bulls games while the Bucs games get blacked out!!!
Bwahahahahhahahhahhahahhahahhahha

The Bulls have dominated the Gators after one quarter. 7-0
September 11th, 2010 at 11:48 pm
@ZeroExpectations What are you even doing on this site. Must be a Cleveland fan trolling.
