Bucs-Bengals, Open Thread

August 10th, 2024

Kyle Trask gets the start — 7 p.m. kickoff in Cincinnati.

Comment all game long below. Real football is back!

Yeah, it’s preseason and most starters will not play. And the teams did not game-planning for each other, but it’s still meaningful fun.

What’s better than watching a Bucs game? Certainly not practice.

Play nice. Show a little respect. Go Bucs!

  10. Trask To The Future Says:

REMEMBER: If Trask plays well it’s only because he’s playing against “Amazon drivers and grocery clerks” but if he struggles at all it’s because he’s not good enough.

  11. MadMax Says:

Come on Trask! F the haters, prove them wrong….and lets get this rooks….GET AFTER IT BRAS, you know how!

  12. Fred McNeil Says:

  14. Seminole Bill Says:

I’ll be looking for the following:

    1. Our new center and his blocking ability;
    2. The run game, hoping for at least 80 yards on the ground;
    3. I’m assuming Baker will not play so will be looking to see how Trask and Wolford do (and will we see Zack Annexstad, who is 4th on the depth chart).

  15. GoneGator Says:

Bummed I can’t watch it til tomorrow since NFL network is airing it at 4am

I’m sure this thread will be civil and informative and not devolve into another bickering match between fans of our back up QB, who think he should be starting, and those who aren’t/don’t.
    Not -lol

  16. BucsFan81 Says:

My favorite time of year football season is near. Can’t wait for September Go Bucs!!

  17. Rod Munch Says:

Much to my surprize, a number of teams are playing their starters.

So will we see some starters, maybe something from the offense?

Of course not, can’t have anyone stealing all of Todd Bowles ideas.

  18. Rob in Land O' Lakes Says:

I’m looking forward to the first “THE SEASON IS OVER!!!” post after the first negative play that happens. LOL

  19. Leopold Stotch Says:

So far the rest of the games have been pretty good. Seems better than usual pre season.

  24. Bucs 95 Says:

We should be playing starters at least one or 2 drives even the bills let josh allen play today

  25. NJbucs23 Says:

Let’s see what kind of depth we have. The starting offense should be playing at least a quarter.

  40. DoooshLaRue Says:

I love Ronde as a former player.

I can’t stand him as a color announcer.
    He’s terrible.

  41. Bucs 95 Says:

  42. HC Grover Says:

    So far zero rush

  43. Bucs 95 Says:

    Bs call

  44. Dude Says:

That want catchable, but this is why Bowles has the refs in camp gotta play clean even if it’s tick tack, but this is their ones versus our twos & threes

  45. NJbucs23 Says:

CB depth is weak. But that’s expected.

  46. Rod Munch Says:

Glad to see the refs are in regular season mode already with the awful BS PI call where the ball was 5 yards out of bounds.

These aren’t the Brady Bucs, we’re back to the typical awful calls that will all go against Tampa.

  47. Cobraboy Says:

Game Pass has Bengal Homer announcers.

  48. SB Says:

Wow their starters vs. our 2nds and 3rds

  49. Dude Says:

Hayes has to break down under control better than that to make that tackle

Better than the Bucs feed with awful Chris Meyers, and typical low-budget WFLA production where they don’t show replays.

  54. SB Says:

    Doesn’t look good SteelStud

  55. HC Grover Says:

    Here comes the new offense

  56. Nprbuc Says:

  57. Dude Says:

“Yall overreact about everything lol its second strings playing against one of the best offense in the nfl”

Same fans agreeing that these games are meaningless lol Merriweather got some work in on that drive, he gets his head around in the endzone he could’ve made a better play on the ball. Coaches will probably tell’em the same

  58. Effayy Says:

I hate the commentators with a passion how are you guys commentating and you guys don’t even know any of the names of the defenders that makes no sense I was waiting for them to tell me what player of ours made a break up in the end zone and they didn’t even know his name But they’re having fun naming all of the Bengals starters and people trying to make the team

  59. HC Grover Says:

Will bengals put the starter D or scrubs?

  60. Rod Munch Says:

YES NEW DAY IN TAMPA BAY RUN UP THE MIDDLE 1ST DOWN!!!!

  69. Todd Says:

    I miss Byron Leftwich.

    What a savant.

  70. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Man, I tried watching through the website for the first time, and the video freezes on the toyota commercial. unwatchable.

  71. CallTheSalTruck Says:

Irving getting the ball three straight times is interesting. Wonder what they want to evaluate. Whether his escapability translates to the NFL?

  72. HC Grover Says:

Is this a new offense???? Good grief.

  73. HC Grover Says:

They do not look sharp at all.

  74. Will Says:

Where was all this motion we’ve been hearing about. That look just like last year. Defense gives up a long drive and offense goes 3 and out. Smh
Lol lets hope they get better

  75. Todd Says:

    Taylor Heinicke anyone?

  76. Cobraboy Says:

Bucs O in mid- season form.

  77. Rod Munch Says:

Guys — Todd Bowles doesn’t run his real offense or defense in the preseason, someone might steal his ideas or get a edge.

  78. Dude Says:

Preseason = Vanilla offense, have you guys not been watching preseason games the last 30 years? You don’t put your good stuff on tape in the preseason, good grief

  79. Buc4evr Says:

Geez you guys are funny. 😆

  80. Bucs 95 Says:

    Thank you

  81. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

  82. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

    Three and out, nice.

  83. Rod Munch Says:

  84. Dude Says:

  87. Dude Says:

“BTW, were the Bengals playing their starters on defense vs the Bucs on that first drive?“

Did you not see Joe Burrow on the field? You think their letting him play behind a bunch of reserves?

  88. Bucs 95 Says:

Oh here we go again ^

  89. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

    >>>BTW, were the Bengals playing their starters on defense vs the Bucs on that first drive?

Yes, at least some of them. Pratt, Stone and Battle on the tackles that first drive are all first-team Bengals D.

  90. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Well, at least it’s on iHeart

  91. Dude Says:

Alright Barton, no bad snaps boy

  92. Rod Munch Says:

    CallTheSaltTruck – Thanks

  93. HC Grover Says:

Those first three O plays looked awful.

  94. Rod Munch Says:

Wait, was that a pass on first down!?!?

    WTF!

  95. Bucs 95 Says:

    Trask heating up

  96. infomeplease Says:

  97. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Nice job, McMillan. Good to see his name pop up.

  98. infomeplease Says:

    I spoke to soon

  99. Bucs 95 Says:

    Nevermind 😂😂😂

  100. HC Grover Says:

    Better play.

  101. Rod Munch Says:

Amazing what happens when you’re not completely predictable … and you’re playing seconds on seconds.

  102. Usfbuc Says:

The NFL + app sucks, game is supposed to be playing but it’s blocked due to local broadcast. Bucs app also isn’t playing the game.

  103. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Nice 3rd down conversion Palmer! Red Zone time, get that TD.

  104. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Think, then speak Ronde.

  105. Bucs 95 Says:

    Go on streameast

  106. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

    Trask lighting it up

  107. infomeplease Says:

Palmer and McMillan battling for that 3rd WE spot. I love it!

  108. NJbucs23 Says:

Look how better the pocket is with Barton in there. I like that the bucs are throwing the ball down the field.

    Look at the slant routes.

    Man progress.

  109. Bucs 95 Says:

He forgot we played the eagles in the playoffs 🥲

  110. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

That was a pick, but whatever. Nice recovery since then.

  111. infomeplease Says:

    WR oops

  112. Dom Says:

Trask showing some of that moxie this drive

  113. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Injury TO for a Bengals guy

  114. Rican Says:

An OC who finally calls slant plays

  115. HC Grover Says:

Trask may be a bit…rusty…from benchsitting for 4 years.

  116. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Use a VPN service and then NFL+

  117. Dude Says:

Graham looks pretty decent holding his own our there

  118. Bucs 95 Says:

Bucky irving goona be an all pro

  119. Shak Says:

    Love Bucky!

  120. Rod Munch Says:

I’m using NFL+ without a VPN and it’s working fine – although it just switched to the Bengals broadcast – which is great since it means no more Chris Meyers. Also the Bengals production includes replays, looks like a real NFL broadcast instead of the ultra low budget WFLA garbage.

  121. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Bucky TD! Way to answer back guys. The Bengals defense looks to be a mix of 1s and new guys, but we still get 7.

  122. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Nice work Offense!
Barton and Bucky looking real good.

  123. Cobraboy Says:

    Barton can move!!!!!!!!!! Wiw!!!!!

  124. BucsFan81 Says:

I know it’s only pre season with vanilla plays but run game already looks better

  125. Trask To The Future Says:

How can anyone not like Trask and see his talent?

He lit up the SEC and set records against many SEC corners that are now in the NFL. He’s the real deal.

  126. HC Grover Says:

    Bucie rocks

  127. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

That was a great call Cincinnati was on their heels playing against the pass.

  128. Bucs 95 Says:

    New kick rule lame

  129. Mac Says:

Where is Chase? Why isn’t he kicking XP’s?

  130. Rod Munch Says:

I like how everyone was panicking after the first series, now people are talking about PRO Bowls and how improved the offense is.

    LOL!

  131. Dude Says:

    @Bucsfan81

That’s cause it was a personnel problem, not a schematic problem. What kind of run did we score on? Anybody, Bueller?

  132. Bucs 95 Says:

Yes you were one of them

  133. Rod Munch Says:

I’m shocked the refs didn’t throw another PI call, that pass was only 8 yards out of bounds.

  134. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

4th Down. Another 3 and out unless they decide to be cheeky here.

  135. Rod Munch Says:

    Bucs 95 Says:
    August 10th, 2024 at 7:43 pm
Yes you were one of them

    ———-

I was literally mocking the morons who act like the season is over if you go 3-and-out on the first series of the preseason, then act like you’re going to win the SB because you scored with your 2nd team offense vs the opposing teams 2nd team defense.

  136. HC Grover Says:

Better game now that bengals scrubs in ther

  137. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Mayfield better stay healthy. Trask won’t give back the job if he gets an opportunity.

  138. geno711 Says:

Lot of guys did great in college and turned out to be just dead weight in the NFL.

None of us Bucs fans know how many starters are in for Cincy at this point.

  139. infomeplease Says:

I agree Rid, that pass was un catchable. Is that a challenge type play? I don’t know those rules so we’ll.

  140. Rod Munch Says:

Bucky Irving, if this was the regular season, would be on pace for a 68 TD season! That’s a HOF caliber player right there – the GOAT!

  141. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Hard to do on a broadcast fellas but pay most of your attention on individual matchups.

  142. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Ronde……trailing………off………..again

  143. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

It’s back to the Cincy coverage

  144. Shak Says:

Bucky always comes up with something out of nothing.

  145. Usfbuc Says:

Now 98 rock just stopped playing the game and I am listening to the song I hate my life. Wife’s phone can play the game fine and she hates football.

  146. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Irving looks like he runs hard.

  147. Dude Says:

Hainsey back in a center, I kind of like this rotation limit the risk and max out on the reps for both our centers. Klein in too

  148. Bucs 95 Says:

    Is ronde okay ?

  149. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Ronde…….loosing….. train…… of …….. thought

  150. Bucs 95 Says:

    Lol

  151. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Trask doing a good job of spreading the ball around, offense seems to be clicking. Run game definitely looking better, I don’t think Bucky has been stuffed once.

  152. Rod Munch Says:

    Bucky with some nice moves.

Doesn’t mean anything vs 2nd teamers, but glad to see it as opposed to not seeing it.

  153. Dude Says:

    “Ronde……trailing………off………..again“

He likes the sound of his own voice (must be a twin thing cause Tiki hasn’t stopped talkin) lol but he’ll drop some gems before the night is over so stay tuned lol

  154. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Taking control here because seems to me I’m the only one who noticed. Irving was a good pick.

  155. Dude Says:

Bucky gotta relax, and just break a long run already lol

  156. Rod Munch Says:

It’s football , and it shouldn’t be flagged, but if the Bucs ever do something half that violent to a QB they’re flagged for a PF.

  157. Bucs 95 Says:

    Trask too the bench now

  158. Shak Says:

    Terrible

  159. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Woop. Trask fumble and then INT. Not great buddy.

  160. Bobby Says:

Buc Wild Irving!!! AKA Bucky Irving. Lets Go Buc Wild!!!

  161. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

I like this Irving kid. Shifty, burst, doesn’t fall on contact.

  162. HC Grover Says:

    Who did dat

  163. Rod Munch Says:

Meh, whatever, same as a mid punt and return.

The women who get their panties in a bunch of INTs on 3rd and long that are downfield, will of course scream and yell, but those who aren’t dullards will just say, meh, whatever.

  164. unbelievable Says:

lol I was just about to say trash was looking good… haha

Who had the bad snap right before that, Hainsey?

    Irving looks good

  165. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Bad series for Trask – something going on with the snap count then under throws the deep out.

  166. BucVoyager Says:

Bucky’s got that wiggle. He looks like the real deal at RB.

  170. HC Grover Says:

When did jamarcus russel ever lead the league in offeness

  174. Defense Rules Says:

Bucs 2nd team defense looking good now (once the Bengals 1st team offense out of the game). Bucs 2nd team offense also looking fairly decent. Several nice runs by Bucky Irving & several crisp passes by Kyle Trask.

  175. Rod Munch Says:

The away team is talking about how the color guys first start was vs Lee Roy Selmon, kind of fun to hear.

  176. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Another 3 and out, I’ll take it. Nice job, Defense.

  177. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

That was a heck of a punt.

  180. Cobraboy Says:

    Decent scrub D.

I have noticed decent speed & quicks on the 2nd D…

  181. HC Grover Says:

Trask 2 INT early similar throws.

  182. Chad Says:

Rod munch, if baker had thrown that same interception you would have something to say about it but since it’s trask your gonna say meh. Trask ain’t starting material I can’t wait to see baker

  183. infomeplease Says:

HC, that was Handy with the bad snap.

  184. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

Jemarcus gave zero effort. They sent him home with empty tapes to test him.

    Let’s not be ridiculous.

    Sean Tucker sighting

  189. Shak Says:

  190. Rod Munch Says:

Now up to 2 plays on that reel!

  191. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Tucker in at RB this series. Again, run game just looking way better.

  192. unbelievable Says:

Licht might be right about our running backs this year.

Obviously this is against scrubs and backups but still.

  193. Dude Says:

    Okay Sean Tucker, okay

  194. HC Grover Says:

    Barton opens nice hole

  195. Rod Munch Says:

2nd and 3rd team runners looking good vs 2nd and 3rd team defense doesn’t mean much.

Again, nice to see, means nothing for the regular season.

  196. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Dang Trask.
    Stood strong!

  197. unbelievable Says:

I’m so jealous yall get the Bucs TV stream of this.

  204. Dude Says:

  212. Greg Says:

It’s pretty appalling how incompetent the NFL is at streaming. Neither the site or the app is streaming video. Audio comes through with no video. You would think with as much money as they have it would be easy. But… apparently not.

    Why run there?

    ——-

They were just sitting up a long field goal – which is the percentage play as getting a 1st on 3rd and long is unlikely – so you just want to get it to around a 50 yard FG, which you have higher odds of converting.

Analytically, it was the correct play, if you’re Bowles and think it’s 1970 and you win games 9-6 by running up the middle and kicking FGs and playing defense.

    It’s preseason game 1.

They’re not running the real offense, don’t have all the reads and hot routes installed, etc.

  275. BucsFan81 Says:

  281. Rod Munch Says:

This game is starting to remind me of the 1987 preseason barnburner between the Bengals and Bucs, that ended with Cincinnati edging out Tampa 31-30 at Tampa Stadium.

The Bengals jumped out to a 17-7 halftime lead, but the Bucs came roaring back in the 4th quarter scoring 20 points with Vinny Testaverde at QB to nearly pull out the victory.

It is interesting seeing the box score of this game, and seeing Testaverde with three TDs in the 4th quarter — and apparently Ray Perkins had Mike Shula come in and play before Vinny? I don’t remember that.

The game came down to a blocked XP by the Bengals vs Bucs all-time great kicker legender Donald Igwebuike, ie Donald Kicker as Perkins called him.

That’s a time you’re not going to see again, a #1 overall pick throwing 3 TDs in the 4th quarter of a preseason game.

  282. Bucs 95 Says:

Yeah trask is slow on reads

  283. infomeplease Says:

The young guys are playing well

  284. Bucs 95 Says:

Gotta blame the bucs on trasks slow development the year we drafted him he should always been 2nd behind brady

  285. Rod Munch Says:

For fantasy this is great as all the morons who don’t know what they’re watching are going to be 100% convinced that Bucky is going to be the Bucs starter, just like last year when the fantasy nerds and half the idiots in the comments here swore that Tucker would be the starter by week 3.

Difference is Bucky actually looks pretty good, when Tucker never looked good.

  286. Rod Munch Says:

And now we’re really in gutter trash playtime, the 3rds and 4ths in already.

    Hey! Bucs up 10-7.

  295. Rod Munch Says:

One thing that may or may not be a concern is that the pass blocking tonight has been quite bad.

It’s a new offense, and 2nd and 3rd and 4th teamers so I don’t know what you take from that – but in the practice recap threads you see a common theme of the defense getting a ton of pressure as well.

Hopefully it’s just the new offense and they get it figured out.

  296. Shak Says:

I hope we have an excellent backup in Bucky or Tucker and that they push White to greatness or take over and prove their own greatness!

    Mr. Munch,
Referencing a 1987 preseason game is most impressive.
Your memory is much clearer than mine.

    ———

I vaguely remember that game just because it was Vinny’s first game, and had an exciting ending.

I more clearly remember the 1990 Bucs-Bengals preseason game – mainly because of the big trade happened not long after it, when we traded Rod ‘The Toast’ Jones for Jim Skow, who played for the Bengals, so since I taped everything at the time I had to go back and rewatch the game for all the Jim Skow highlights.

  299. Bucs 95 Says:

Browning still in and trask benched already 🧐

  300. Dude Says:

Sean Tucker 66 yards on 9 carries, he & Russell gets the game ball if we win this. I kind of want the defense to score, that’ll get the guys amped on the sideline

  301. Tbbucs3 Says:

Have the Bucs ever in history had a good DB with dreads?

  302. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Holding. Nice to see the refs remembering they can’t be TOO terrible. 3rd and 16, smoke ’em, defense.

  303. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

I have to say, while our passrush hasn’t gotten home, our coverage has been excellent. Jake Browning is pretty good as NFL backups go and we have completely stifled him all game.

    Another sack. Yikes.

  306. Curse of Gruden Says:

    Mr. Munch,
Vinnie’s first game! I remember having some hope for a decent season, but quickly became weary when I saw Ray Perkins often chewing Vinnie’s ear.
I believe you could be the JBF Historian!

  307. Bucs 95 Says:

    Cant wait too see baker

  308. Tbbucs3 Says:

Dashaun Golson is the best one I can think of but even he wasnt that great down here, was mostly a penalty machine….

Seeing Bucs DBs with dreadlocks flying around gives me nightmares of Ryan Neal, Tim Jennings, EJ Biggers, Mike Jenkins and Mark Barron

  309. Tbbucs3 Says:

Mark Barron had potential here but was wildly misused by the coaching staff

  310. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Bengals going nowhere against our D.

  311. Bucs Guy Says:

Watched Klein at RG during the first half. Looked very good on running plays. That was his advertised strength coming out of college. Looked just OK on pass plays. Got pushed back on a few bull rushes. Looked a little better on the quick passes.

  312. Bucs Guy Says:

    LG

  313. Marcus Nerone Says:

Considering that he’s playing with not a single offensive starter, Trask looks better than Mayfield. Perfect size, poise, and beautiful throws. If this were his second season behind center, I’d be more confident of our chances.

  314. WanderingWallflower Says:

Rashad White should be watching with great interest at the running tonight. The signs of change are evident. Hopefully he can flash but if not, Irving looks very promising.

  315. Bucs4Ever Says:

    Wife’s bday…just got back from Capital Grille…

ONE huge question…how is Barton doing at C?

    That’s all I care about.

  316. unbelievable Says:

  317. Tbbucs3 Says:

Marcus Nerone, please dont get the Trask mob riled up again.

Cant go another season of these dorks calling for Mayfield to be benched after every incomplete pass.

  318. Rod Munch Says:

Mark Barron was a good player, just wasn’t worth the high pick. He ended up playing for quite a while, had a nice run with the Rams.

But the trade worked out great for the Bucs as they turned the 4th into Kwon Alexander, who was the better player, even accounting for injuries and a shortened career.

  319. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Lol, Wolford got them to jump.

  320. Bucs 95 Says:

  325. Tbbucs3 Says:

  326. LVMYBUCS Says:

  327. Bucs 95 Says:

I like coens offense up tempo west coast style were gonna cook with our starterrs

  328. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

  330. unbelievable Says:

@CalltheSalt – red zone efficiency has been an issue since 2022 if we’re being honest.

    3rd coordinator is a charm?

  331. Rod Munch Says:

Again, I wouldn’t get too concerned with the lack of finishing drives and stuff as they’re playing with a very limited playbook, calling vanilla plays, and you’re dealing with 3rd and 4th string players on both sides.

Really not much you can take away from anything at this point of the game, just looking for anyone who might make some highlight plays and perhaps work their way to getting some snaps on the 2nd and 3rd team.

  332. Cobraboy Says:

Props to Bucs RBs, really running hard…

  333. LVMYBUCS Says:

  335. Tbbucs3 Says:

Please tell me the Bucs found a thumper RB in Dj Williams

  336. Dude Says:

Wolford is Kevin Kolb, he looks like he’s playing hard but he’s really just trying hard to play well

  337. JustVisiting Says:

Oh, never mind, my screen just loaded more recent comments.

  338. Rod Munch Says:

JustVisiting – he’s been fine, but playing with and against deep roster guys, so hard to take much from it.

I will say Trask and Wolford when he first came in was getting some really bad blocking, but it seems as we get deeper into the rosters, the Bucs blocking is improved, although they also seem to be moving him around more than they were earlier.

  339. Dude Says:

Dj Williams is cool, for the 16 man practice squad, but 53 man? No, no, no he’s not ready yet

  340. JustVisiting Says:

    Thx, Rod

  341. Rod Munch Says:

But Wolford, when he’s had time, has looked pretty good – but vs future FedEx and Wendy’s employees, so you’d want to see that from any veteran QB. He had a bad drop TD as well.

  342. Marcus Nerone Says:

Trask drove the Bucs 77 yards for a touchdown against the Bengals’ starters and Wolford can’t do diddly against truck drivers. smh

  343. infomeplease Says:

I’m impressed with how few penalties. With the exception of Brandon Waltons 2 holding penalties.

  344. WanderingWallflower Says:

Watching Wolford is a plus, but not because he’s better than Trask. He’s definitely 3rd, but a good 3rd. He’s a plus to watch because his style is more like Baker. The movement outside of the pocket and such. Trask is more Ben Roethlisberger style.

  345. Bucs 95 Says:

    Woodside cooked

  346. Marcus Nerone Says:

Wolford has half the yards of Trask and they’re against UPS drivers.

Umm, I don’t think he’s going to see more than that $1,000.

  348. Dude Says:

  349. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

  367. Tbbucs3 Says:

Wolfords mobility and decision making gives him the edge, you cant tell me that an immobile Trask who forces a ton of balls into coverage wouldn’t be an interception machine if he played in a real game.

Left too much time? Had to be some wise ass to say it. 🙂

  381. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Now Defense, we were in this situation a few times last year. I need you all to NOT be cheeks here. Don’t let them drive the field with a minute to go.

  382. Rod Munch Says:

    McLaughlin looking shaky tonight…

  383. Dude Says:

Jefferson is Coens’ guy from UK, we took him instead of Ray Davis and salute Metz redeeming himself with the helpful push to break the plane. TD for the 3rd teamers.

  384. Tbbucs3 Says:

Still plently of time for Bowels late game prevent defense to blow this

Nice power run by whoever Jefferson is.”

    …..played for Coen in KY

  386. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Welp, so much for not letting them immediately drive into FG range.

  387. Tbbucs3 Says:

And for all those giddy about Trask looking good today, Logan Woodside looks like a future hall of famer.

  388. Rod Munch Says:

I hope Andrew Hayes didn’t spend his $1000 signing bonus all in one place.

  389. Dude Says:

Hayes is BBQ Chicken, Funderburk might take your job friend

  390. WanderingWallflower Says:

Hopefully Woodside forces one into the end zone and Hayes redeems himself.

  391. Rod Munch Says:

kick the FG, lets see OT!

  392. infomeplease Says:

    Bucs ein

  393. infomeplease Says:

    Bucs WIN

  394. Rod Munch Says:

I hate this nonsense where you don’t play like it’s a real game. Should have kicked the FG like a real game, kickers need practice too.

  395. Dude Says:

They were both playing the ball, contact was mutual that why the PI wasn’t called. Where’s Dave Pear? Yardage ≠ Points

  396. Rod Munch Says:

That loser QB had to get 2 more yards and couldn’t do it. What a failure!

  397. unbelievable Says:

    Bend but don’t break

  398. Shak Says:

    Winner winner!! 🥇

  399. BucsfanBrennan Says:

I don’t care how worthless this win is; I just love winning. Go Bucs!!!

  400. Dude Says:

Jay Person has only been with the team for a week, do yoursleves a favor and check that kid out he can be a project player, but that kid comes screaming off the edge no matter what lol

  401. CallTheSaltTruck Says:

Respect to the Bengals for going for it instead of tying. Fire the Cannons, it’s a wild W for the preseason Bucs.

  402. Rod Munch Says:

    Fun game, was fairly entertaining.

Bucs had almost 400 yards, which in preseason is a lot.

  403. HC Grover Says:

44 saves the day. Wolford looked good.

  404. Dude Says:

    @Unbelievable

A few rungs below outright domination, but I’ll take bending and not breaking any day that ends with day

    Bend but don’t break

    ———

Yeah but in a real game they just kick the easy FG and take it to OT.

Still, a fun ending, but I’d have liked to see some preseason overtime, just so I could hear the announcers complaining about having to work an extra 5 minutes.

  406. Statistically Insignificant Reader Says:

    No OT in preseason

  407. WanderingWallflower Says:

Good game, good win. Culture matters. Wins help culture.

  408. Dude Says:

“Hopefully Woodside forces one into the end zone and Hayes redeems himself.“

    @WanderingWallflower

Goto your nearest petrol station and buy a $5 scratch off, if you anything I’ll CashApp you card cause you called Hayes making a play in the endzone

The one thing the Owners & NFLPA do agree on lol OT in the preseason, oh you wanna risk more injuries?

  411. Rod Munch Says:

Gotti-Dog-05-20-84 – when in the world did that happen, and how did I miss it?

Geez, talk about making the preseason even more worthless.

I’m here to be entertained, not to be the players mommy and worry about their booboos.

  413. WanderingWallflower Says:

    @Dude

Will do. I could use a jackpot!

  414. Rod Munch Says:

Wait… Hayes mugged the Bengals WR and it wasn’t called because the refs just wanted to end the game. Good for the Bucs and all – but come on, pretending as if that was a good play is laughable. Hayes might literally get cut before the plane lands in Tampa he was that bad.

  415. Dude Says:

    @Rod Munch

Take what ya get and put a sock innit, it’s the 4th season OT has been off the books lol

The breakdancing highlights from Paris are dope, one dancer memed herself lol and the Men’s US Bball team didn’t stink the joint up. Women Bball has been dominant tho, Aja Wilson & Stewie are killers

    Worthless.

418 comments aren’t coming to this site tonight if JBF doesn’t get value out of it.

  420. geno711 Says:

I enjoyed reading through the comment’s guys.

There were 419 comments before my comment here.
The only one I found worthless was the one right above mine.

The other comments, that’s people engaging, connecting, and sometimes even arguing about something but hey, it’s human nature!

You can’t just dismiss it because it doesn’t fit your narrow idea of ‘value.’ Those comments were far from worthless – especially when compared with comment 419.
