Bryce Hall And Attacking The Ball (Video)

August 1st, 2024

So the Bucs added significant cornerback depth this offseason with the signing of former Jets starter Bryce Hall.

Hall got stuck on the bench of the Jets’ stellar defense behind two stud cornerbacks after he was a 17-game starter in 2021.

Today, Hall had a great interception of a John Wolford pass and he also spent a little time covering Mike Evans.

In the fan video below that’s circulating by the thousands on social media (credentialed media is not permitted to shoot video in 11-on-11 action), Hall is seen covering Evans and the pass is completed in a very tight window on the sidelines. Joe loves how Hall broke on the ball and it’s something Joe’s seen a lot in training camp.

Cornerbacks don’t always make the play, but if Hall keeps doing that, good things will happen.

This guy is no Leonard Johnson, Dee Delaney or Ross Cockrell.

Joe, Seems like a lot of DBs are showing up and making plays. Most of us thought with the loss of CDIII, the Bucs were thin at DB. Now it feels like we’re deep at that position group. Yes/No?

How does this kid do this? He’s got dozens of videos of the Bucs formations and plays on his channel. Doesn’t that hurt the team?
Some NFL teams do not permit fan video for these kinds of plays. Joe has been at Titans training camp when security does a sweep to warn fans and to shut down video. Bucs don’t care … until they do. –Joe

Sounds like Wolford has been throwing a lot of picks.

Thank you Joe! I’d side on the err of caution and restrict video myself. It offers too much insight to outsiders in my view.

Forgot they signed this guy….he needs to be a starter.

I expect him to start, either opposite Dean or Zyon.

    Dave Pear,
My bet is that BHall will eventually start opposite McCollum. Dean is suspect in my opinion. He’s injury prone n after 5yrs in the league, he continues to play confused, soft, n passive. Hall is aggressive, can hit, n is a ball hawk. McCollum need to learn from the likes of AWhitfield, JWhitehead, n BHall who all have traits of a leader. JDean isn’t remotely close to being a leader.

Bryce has something special. He will definitely start. Love the Evans and Baker video. All positive!

Yes, Leonard Johnson! Great kid when I knew him. So glad you mentioned him. He is now a coaching assistant for the Buffalo Bills. So happy for him.
