UPDATED at 10:27 a.m. The full broil was on with the Bucs in pads at One Buc Palace. Joe’s got all your need-to-know on the ground. Sadly, practice ended with what appears to be a serious injury to YaYa Diaby. 

*Starting tight end Cade Otton flashing superior hands in warmups and early drills. Got a couple of cheers from the crowd, a rarity in warmups.

*Running back Chase Edmonds remains on the sidelines in a floppy hat. The Bucs have yet to disclose his injury. He hasn’t practiced yet this summer.

*Bucs have a receivers drill that has players running under a bar before breaking off their route. Seems cruel to have the same height bar for Mike Evans along with the other receivers. (Photo above).

*Tristan Wirfs, the guy with the giant new contract, is on the field for the first snap of 11-on-11. He previously had skipped all contact. It’s a 30-yard TD to Cade Otton down the left seam.

*Rachaad White run left. While players are in pads, it’s clear the linemen aren’t yet going 100 percent. Vita Vea lays off making the tackle for what probably would have been a 4 yarrd Rachaad White run.

*Flag!!! Looks like a presnap motion penalty on the right side of the Bucs’ offense. Pass incomplete deep.

*Mayfield strike to Payne Durham down the seam for 20 yards. Same play, it appeared, that Otton scored on.

*Trask in and is blitz. Undrafted rookie linebacker Kalen DeLoach gets there but play is not blown dead. (No touching of the QB is allowed, of course. Trask hits Sterling Shepard on pass over the middle.

*Handoff to 44. He’s got quick feet.

*Trask quick out left to Ko Kieft for five yards.

*No. 3(?) QB John Wolford fumbles a good shotgun snap.

*CBS Sports national insider Prickly Pete Prisco seen patrolling the sidelines.

*Wolford short pass to No. undrafted rookie receiver Latreal Jones.

*Goofy paid-by-the-Bucs pirate tries to get the fans started on a “Boat Parade” chant.

*Hitting picks up on next series. Joe can hear it. Rachaad White up the gut generatles clapping from Baker Mayfield. Graham Barton did a nice job on Calijah Kancey.

*Jamel Dean breaks up a Mayfield pass over the middle (10 yards) for Chris Godwin. Tight coverage.

*Faulty connection: Appears rookie receiver Jalen McMillan turned too early in his route. Ball was past him already.

*White up the middle is met by Antoine Winfield, Jr. for a 3 yard gain.

*Trask short pass to running back Sean Tucker. Anthony Nelson with a pressure.

*Logan Hall pulls up on what would have been a sack or heavy pressure on Trask. With the pass rush letting up, Trask rolls right and throws to Tucker, who couldn’t haul in the easy pass.

*Bad drop by Otton from Mayfield on a short pass to the right. Mayfield expresses his disappointment.

*Mike Evans pulls in a 9 yard sideline pass with Bryce Hall literally all over him.

*Mayfield steps up in the pocket and hits Godwin for 15 yards in front of Christian Izien.

*Bucs bring all out blitz. Undrafted rookie Daniel Grzesiak gets through but Wolford releases cleanly to Otton. First down!

*Presnap penatly on third-team offense. Play goes off and K.J. Britt hammers undrafted rookie running back D.J. Williams in the back over middle on short throw. Hardest hit of the day.

*RED ZONE WORK starts. Mayfield incomplete right to Evans. Zyon McCollum with good coverage.

*Mayfield incomplete short over middle to Evans. White was wide open to the right with room in front of him.

*Yaya Diaby puts a power move on Luke Goedeke and beats him clean inside. However, Bucs had Bucky Irving in to pick up a rusher. He did a good job picking up Diaby. Pass incomplete.

*Irving for 5-yard run up gut.

*Mayfield play-action TD to Payne Durham. Tavierre Thomas in coverage.

*Tucker runs left for no gain.

*Kyle Trask enters and dumps off left to Williams.

*Kind of a sluggish feel in the heat right now. Trask drops back and No. 28 is in on blitz for what would have been a sack.

*Robert Hainsey with a good block at center. Pass complete to Sterling Shepard who takes a hit in lower back and walks off feeling it. He’s not happy.

*VERY impressive outstretched catch by Hall to intercept John Wolford and record the pick-6. Caught a very hard short pass in his fingertips.

*Joe’s angle isn’t great, but it seems like Chase McLaughlin is making his kicks. Refs are signaling the conversions (or they’re just cheering for Ira Kaufman). Hold on! McLaughlin now misses from 48 yards before drilling a 54-yarder to close the session. The crowd cheers that one.

*UGLY fake kick attempted. Joe will leave it at that.

*11-on-11 returns with Mayfield throwing a strike to Otton over the middle — 12-yard gain.

*Deep shot to Trey Palmer is successful! About 40 yards in the air. Lavonte David in coverage from the line of scrimmage. Long way for David to run at an angle from right to left. Touchdown!

*Short pass to Bucky Irving for 4 yards.

*DROP! Trask to camp meat receiver Ryan Miller.

*Shepard is back in and catches an 8-yard pass from Trask.

*Trask checks down to Tucker.

*Brieft third-down work session sees a nice completion to Godwin for 10 yards and a great pass breakup on Mike Evans by undrafted rookie Tyrek Funderburk, who has flashed at times in camp.

*Izien will hit you. Plays harder than most.

*More 11-on-11 after a two-minute water break. Bucs go 5-wide and pass is complete to Evans, who was mismatched with K.J. Britt on him.

*Godwin drop over middle short, seems to indicate Britt interfered.

*Three-yard pass to Irving, who gets blasted by McCollum.

*Short throw to Otton complete.

*In comes Trask and he scrambles. Nobody appeared open.

*Trask fires a strike to wide open Rakim Jarrett for 15 yards.

*Trask throws a GORGEOUS deep ball to Shepard into triple coverage for 25 yards. Hits him in stride down the seam.

*Trask comes back with a short throw left to Miller.

*Sloppy third-team session with multiple penalties closes the session.

*Another water break and throws a strike to Godwin for 15 yards. Man, Godwin looks great.

*Bucs go to hurry-up and Mayfield scrambles for the sidelines.

*Tragic development. YaYa Diaby goes down on the next play. Players are on knees as he’s worked on. Damn.
