I picked 11 wins last year, and if not for late defensive collapses against the Falcons and Texans, we’d have had it. It seems a safe pick for this year, given that I think we will actually be a much better team, but do have a slightly more difficult schedule, IMO.

That’s 10 and clearly not how it’s going to go down as that’s basically chalk picks. But that’s 10 with a division split. Very within the realm of possibility. Some people might say well Cowboys and Ravens won’t be Ws… well those OLs are much weaker this year, McCarthy sucks and the Bucs should have a chance vs every team in the league. Won’t shock me to see the Bucs beat the Lions or Eagles or 49ers or Chiefs and I gave those all Ls.
I truly believe despite missing that “high end” edge rusher, the additions made, Vea in shape, Kancey and Diaby in year 2… the D is gonna be fierce. If Coen is legit and can get the most out of these guys.. new OL and TE coaches as well, there isn’t a team in the league we shouldn’t compete with.

Great points. And like you said, that’s with us splitting with the Panthers which… I don’t see happening. The defense that kept them in the two games with us last year has been gutted without Burns and Luvu. There will be surprises and head-slappers on both sides though, there almost always are. Beating the Chiefs while somehow losing to Gardner Minshew and the Raiders, for instance. Should be a fun season.
