10 Training Camp Dates For Bucs Fans; Two For General Public

June 24th, 2024

Progress!

Last year the Bucs opened one training camp practice to the masses after none in 2022. This year, there will be two sessions open to the general public at One Buc Palace.

It should be more, but Joe will take it.

The dates open to the general public will be Thursday, July 25, and Friday, August 2.

The other eight sessions are for select groups and/or season ticket holders.

All training camp practices will start at 8:30 a.m. except one night practice in the Glazer Shed indoors on Tuesday, July 30, at 7:00 p.m. That one is open to season ticket holders, which the Bucs call “Krewe Members.”

The first FIVE days of training camp will consist of the on-field acclimation period for players, per the Buccaneers. That means no practices in pads. So that’s “underwear football” as Joe calls it, until the team’s first practice in pads on Monday, July 29.

Practice dates open to select groups are listed below. A digital ticket – secured via Ticketmaster– will be required for entry to all sessions.

It’s a move in the right direction!
    Thanks, Joes

Wow, I remember going pretty much every day as a kid. I can’t believe the access is so controlled now. What has changed?

Similar to the current administration woes, Follow the Money!

  4. Dewey Selmon Says:

Anyone know how many season ticket holders there are? 25,000-30,000?

  5. SenileSenior Says:

Can all military veterans attend August Seventh?

“Our players and coaches love the added energy that our fans bring during training camp, And this season we have raised the number of open practices to 10 in order to accommodate even more fans.”

    – Brian Ford, Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer

What he meant to say was

“Our players and coaches love the added energy that our fans bring during training camp, And this season we have raised the number of invitation only practices to 10 in order to accommodate even more of our preferred fan base.”

Before I rake Mr Ford over the coals, I would like to know where the Bucs rank in the NFL for practices open to the General Public/Average Joe during training camp.

Yup pretty much what I expected. Average Bucs fans are left standing out in the parking lot. No Public relations value and no overpriced season tickets leaves the common man punked again.
    Geez!
    Go Bucs!

Those Tampa U afternoon camps were great, open to the public, the field was loaded with future HOF players and a HOF head coach.

Now it’s two 8:30a practices because one of the peasants might steal Todd Bowles brilliance – and note one of those is way too early in camp to be of any real use.

  9. Dave Pear Says:

Rod, you know all the spies of the NFC South will be there to see if they can learn anything from Todd about being 29th in pass defense, in a 32 team league, in a passing offense era. The masturmind at work.

But he is going to unleash the offense and change his bend over and break defensive philosophy. The signs are there and the arrow is pointing up.

This seems like a pretty good venue for many. Glad to see it. Wonderful for military, juniors/flag and Special Olympics, the Krewe, Community and the Women of Red Day. Maybe next year they will add another public chance to purchase tickets for an evening camp. Many people are working at 8:30 a.m.

Dewey – Unsure how many season holders there are. The Bucs raised the cost of season tickets 15% for new holders when Brady was signed and then there was the two year rule of purchasing. I think during that time it was one of the top highest regular tickets and then the regular ticket went down in price becoming one of the lowest to purchase. Last year the Cowboys had the most sold and I think the Raiders had the most expensive. Unsure where the Bucs are on all that.

  11. Ashley Biden's diary Says:

if you don’t like it, buy a season ticket package. If you can’t afford it, you have bigger issues than going to a practice.

  12. (Please try a different handle, thanks) Says:

When I was a kid and we couldn’t afford season tickets, my dad and I would go for a week and watch morning practices at Pepin Rood Stadium at the University of Tampa.
We used to get autographs and meet players. That experience made me a season ticket holder for a decade (until prices got crazy). To think this it not even an option anymore just makes me more comfortable than ever of never giving the team another dollar, but just watch from home.

  13. Rod Munch Says:

Agree with the last guy who shall not be named. Going to UT, seeing all the kids out there getting autographs, having a ton of crowd noise, players talking (often trash) to the crowd, it was just flat out fun. Real shame the Bucs have killed that for no apparent reason.
