More Open Training Camp Practices In 2024

This is a heads-up for those who didn’t listen to Friday afternoon’s Ira Kaufman Podcast.
The Sage of Tampa Bay Sports shared heart-warming news that the Bucs would have more training camp practices accessible to the general public this summer. In 2022, the Bucs opened zero practices to fans unless they were season ticket holders or members of select special interest group. Last year, the Bucs bumped that up to one “open” practice, the last Monday morning of training camp.
Per Kaufman, via his sources, the Bucs will have significantly more dates for the common fan this year, though he didn’t put an exact number on it and he said it wouldn’t be like the old days of nearly every practice being open.
That news gave Joe a peaceful weekend.

Joe is eager to see what the Bucs have planned. The announcement should come soon. The Bengals announced 10 open practices yesterday. The Packers released their dates, as well.

I did listen to Ira’s podcast but didn’t hear the great news about more open training camp practices. I fell asleep prior to that announcement.
I second the request for an open night practice at RJ Stadium!

I agree with others, it would be nice to have an evening practice too.
The Bills are also going to have 10 open training camps. There will be an 11th one at 5:30 p.m., a Friday night. They have a 12th one closed to the public. Be nice to see the Bucs sort of mirror that too 🏈

Back in the day when One Buc Place was by the airport, I watched practice a few times, sitting on the roof of my van to see over the fence. Only got asked to leave one time. 🙂
