Rachaad White Won’t Be Wearing Guardians Caps In Games

Guardians Caps can now be worn in games.
This was too easy to call.
The NFL is paranoid of lawsuits. That’s why the NFL is so hung up on safety. It isn’t so much they are worried about safety, the NFL is worried about coughing up hundreds of millions of dollars in lawsuits.
That’s why the NFL started mandating those ugly-arse Guardians Caps in training practices. You know the ones, where they make every player wearing one look like the Great Gazoo?
Joe thought it was just a matter of time before the NFL has players wearing those eyerakes in games.
We are now here.
The NFL announced players can voluntarily wear Guardians Caps in games. When news broke today, many players took to social media to slam those things and one was Bucs running back Rachaad White.
It seems White, like “this Joe,” thinks a mandatory order to wear those things is just around the corner. White wants nothing to do with those things in games.

Joe has to imagine wearing those things in training camp is hot as hell. Basically, a chunk of padded plastic completely covers the tops of helmets.
With the sun beating down, it must be broiling in those things.
Guardians Caps look so ugly and juvenile, but get used to them. Joe predicts by the end of the decade, those things will be mandatory.

Personally, Im excited to see the bubblewrap uniforms! Pewter and Red Bubblewrap, players waddling around like sumos!
Man, that’ll be fun! Shortly after,the team will sell big beachballs to fans. For a huge cost, you can try to throw the ball at the opposing Bubbleclad QB. Really excited about the direction the game is going! Thank you, Roger Godell.
In fairness,there are so many injuries every year, and long term effects. They gotta do something. These guys shouldnt end up crippled or brain damaged, because of their job. No one should.

I politely request it to be mandatory for Logan Hall to wear a double Guardian Cap during any practices that include Graham Barton at center, guard or tackle. Or punt returner. Heck, make Hall wear a double Guardian Cap in team meetings when Graham is present.

NO. There’s more than enough info out there nowadays, in order for these players to be plenty informed on the risks. They can keep them ‘optional’ and then have the players who don’t want to wear them to just ‘sign-off’ on it. It would be an embarrassment to mandate these horrible things. Technology in helmets have already come a long way in the past 10-15 years, & I’m sure that it will continue to do so moving forward. Then, account for every other ‘new rule’ they continue to add under the sun, and they’ll be just fine. It’ll be ‘flag’ football by then anyway, in more ways than one.

Helmets will one day have an inertial dampener built in kinda like an energy absorber. Sounds sci-fi, but once the mechanics get worked out, it will be a game changer and will eliminate all concussions from tackle football.

They are ugly but then again, no one wants to become the next Scot Brantley from getting too many hits to the dome. You would think the suits could hire some R&D outfit to engineer one that does not look like those Great Gazoo helmets and then market them to Pop Warner, high schools and colleges.

I don’t understand the law suit part. These players know the risk of playing football and nobody is forcing them too. NFL needs to put their foot down and at you guys play at your own risk don’t sue us for you playing a dam game. It’s ridiculous how soft they guys are these days. Football was better back in the day

It’s not just a game anymore its a job. The NFL and all the team owners make a whole lot more money than what they pay these players combined and a good portion of the dudes getting concussions and serious injuries are not the ones making millions of $$$ a year. It’s funny when people who have no choice but to be spectators of a sport got the nerve to call these guys soft when the NFL tried to bury evidence of the brain damage concussions cause, as well as all the former players who never knew the consequences of this “game” that became mere shells of the men they once were because of the physical and mental deterioration their bodies and brains went thru. The NFL is doing what is doing because the cat was let out of the bag and because of that players deserve the right to sue. It’s as American as apple pie

Didn’t a guard or tackle for the Packers sort of wear one not that long ago in games? It was a hard shell. It looked like he had a helmet on top of a helmet. Had a bunch of concussions.

Why not get rid of Gazoo helmets and bubble wrap and go exactly to where football is heading eventually; flag football. These guys are playing a dangerous sport. When bodies slam against each other violently, bad things can happen. Players already know this and should be treated accordingly. If a football helmet doesn’t do what it’s designed to do, hold that company liable for any injuries that occur. Same goes for any other piece of protective equipment. Just don’t keep changing the rules to the point that the sport is no longer watchable.
