Weather: Per AccuWeather.com, bring the rain gear. The game is supposed to kick off amid thunderstorms and end amid thunderstorms with temperatures falling from the mid-80s to 80 near the end.
Odds: Per Bodog.com, Jags -3.
Outlook: Yes, the game is blacked out. This has been well-documented. Joe will be at the game, in the stands, cold $8 beer at his side, hoping to dodge raindrops while developing blisters on his thumbs from Twittering on his trusty blackberry. Sorry, no live chat for this game. … Joe is hoping to see continued development from quarterback Josh Johnson since Josh Freeman is on the shelf with a bum thumb. Let’s just say Joe isn’t overly optimistic he will be back by Week 1 of the season. No inside information, just Joe being his paranoid self. Last week Johnson played perhaps his best game as an NFL player. Sure, it was a preseason game but Joe still liked what he saw. Johnson needs to continue to play well and show that last week was not a fluke. … With a strong game, Kareem Huggins could cement a roster position, and with a(nother) weak game, Derrick Ward could cement a position on a couch watching NFL games with a Kardashian. Joe would love to see the defensive line play well. Knock… knock… knock… are you home Stylez White… Brian Price… Gerald McCoy? Joe’s not knocking those guys –two are rookies and the third is more of a regular season kinda guy — but it would warm Joe’s heart to see one of if not all three blow up tonight. … Since the game is blacked out, follow Joe on Twitter (no need to sign up; it’s free) and enjoy gawking at Jaguars cheerleader Kelli above.

First half – JJ and the receivers look great! The running game and defense seem to be non-existent…except of course for the pick we just got in the end zone! But honestly the were getting run over until that point.

Exactly, other than that big pick, the Bucs defense is getting handled.
Anyone know of good message board, that is not filled with kool aide drinkers? I’d like to talk brutally honest about the state of the Buccaneers.

The D is not looking great, but remember that the “prevent defense” is designed to give up short plays and make the offense drain time off the clock. Those run plays up the middle worry me though.

I love watching the game via live stream , it gives me an extreme feeling of satisfaction to know I have out-smarted the Glazerhouses.

That defense was giving up first down after first down. That defense?
The only thing that happened, was B Ruud’s interception while Jax was driving into the endzone. Ruud ran it back to the 20 and then we scored our only TD.
Look at the drive charts, they tell the tale. Watch the game tomorrow, you’ll see.
We also didn’t get one sack all night long.

The Browns scored 21 points in the first half in their first game, 10 in the 1st half of their 2nd and 24 in the first half of this past game.
Browns score, Bucs not so much.
Don’t count that as a win just yet.

We have terrible time of possesion on offense, short drives, almost no yards, consistently.
Jax had some long drives, gained yards and basically put it to us. What killed them was the INT to Ruud, on their way to a score.

Two weeks in a row the bucs were dominated statistically.
Mike Williams seems like a great draft choice and potential star.
other than that too many things remind me of 2009, specifically negligable running game, inability to stop the rush, not much pass rush.
But, it is only preseason. Ill be damn happy when this Friday’s game is in the books and the real bullets start flying.

I’d have to agree, eric. Those are the exact same things I’m seeing. No rushing attack, not able to stop the opponents rushing attack, and not able to get to the QB.
If the O-line doesn’t open holes better, we’re in trouble, plain and simple. Those guys looked to be getting pushed around out there. Admittedly, Davin Joseph didn’t play, but that’s no excuse. The “so-called” strength of our offense is looking pretty weak.
The D was getting “pressure” on the QB, which is good. They couldn’t get the sack. They also sent a TON of blitzes, leaving the second level depleted and open to the big play. If we’re gonna blitz, we gotta get to the QB or we’re gonna get burned bad. As for stopping the run…. I think that will improve as Price and McCoy get more settled. They’re looking pretty good, but I still believe they have to “think” too much right now. When the game comes to them, and they can react, the run game will start getting shut down.

Hello from Canada
I represent a group of 12 individuals that is travelling 1,484 miles to enjoy a game at Raymond James stadium. We visited last year and liked it so much, our number has tripled!
Our thing is the tailgate – it is the real main event. No offense Bucs… The atmosphere in Ray Jay is FANTASTIC!! We will be in lot 3 to ensure that we are with the diehard T-Bay fans and will be offering up Canadian hospitality until we are told to leave at sunset.
I contacted the Buccaneers office and they have been a little reluctant to embrace us northerners. I wanted to impress upon them how special it is for our group to visit your fine city. I was hoping for insight and instead I received the party line… Could you tell me how we might be able to acquire tickets to the endzone pirate ship to view the game on Nov 14 with the Carolina Panthers?
Please stop by lot 3 on game day to share some northern cheer!
