Quenton Nelson was a first round selection at Guard……

As far as “playmakers” here are 6 of our last 7 top picks……DT, DT, OLB, OT, ILB, DT.

So….where is the RB, QB, WR…….where is the playmaker?

  2. LANshark Says:

Sorry, you are FLAT OUT WRONG… hainsey is a TERRIBLE pass blocker.. he is better as a run blocker, which is not saying much.

  3. Tony Marks Says:

    I can’t anymore

Anyone who said they have followed college or professional football for even5 years much less longer who says they have never seen a lineman make an impact play ( such as a block) that wins a game is just

a Football dufus. We have all seen rushes into the end zone to win games where a bock from an oline including center opened the hole to win the game.

  4. LANshark Says:

You’re also wrong about when a center is drafted… over half of the starting centers in the league were drafted in 1-2 round.

Stats show Hainsey is second-best pass blocker on the line. 🤷‍♂️

14 OGs drafted in the first round in the last 10 years. 4 went top 10! In the last 10 years, the average draft position of the first C off the board is 27.4 which is a first round pick. So clearly a lot of GMs don’t agree of not picking iOL in the first round.

  7. Olboy Says:

Like a lion, ira! You got this.

  8. WilieG Says:

If the Bucs draft a beast of a center, I will be okay with that. Yeah, he’s not a “playmaker” but if he turns White into an above average RB who busts out a couple of long runs each game, then he’s enough of a playmaker to me.

  9. WilieG Says:

Imagine a huge, powerful center who blasts holes for White who frequently gains 5 yards or more running up the middle. The defenses will have to adjust and load the box. Evans and Godwin will be virtually unstoppable.

Now what would you call that center? I’d call him a playmaker.

Games are won and lost in the trenches….period

  11. Capt Ahab Says:

I don’t care which running back you care to choose from the history of the NFL, Jim Brown, Water Payton, whomever. If you don’t have an offensive line to help pave the way, you have no running game. A novice can understand that.

  12. Capt.Tim Says:

Stats show Hainsey is the 34th ranked Center.
Hes horrible. Even if stats didnt say he sucks, anyone with FING EYES could see he gets manhandled every play.

So are both Joes social media guys, or does one of you watch football?

  13. Capt.Tim Says:

    (Lmao)

  14. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Logan Who is a miss. This was a great podcast until someone said Swaggy Baker, then I had to vomit.

  15. Nate Says:

Decemper is so dense he doesnt realize or, just ignores Pro Bowl FA center Jensen, drafting Ali Marpet ,and Tristan Wirfs….how much do you think the 26th is worth??? you can thank Baker for that smh

  16. Nate Says:

and to the other …funny how people love comparing a a down 7-9 season to that 8-9 wish on a star lucky ass season…if not for Winfield those 3 games were lost …doesnt compare to Bradys last year with a terrible o line and his divorce ….

  17. heyjude Says:

Hainsey was the 95th pick in the draft 3 years ago. During this time, the Bucs have had coaching and other changes. This upcoming season will be the 2nd one with Baker. Hainsey’s contract ends after the 2024 season. My feeling is that Hainsey should be better this season.

  18. First Name Greatest Says:

Clueless Joe keps saying he’s never seen a OLmen be a playmaker

Wow, the lack of football IQ is baffling. If your line is not protecting well the playmakers don’t even have a chance to make a play. Need protection for any play to have a chance.

The Bucs have had the worst running game in the league in back to back years. The interior O Line needs to be upgraded
