Devin White: “I Don’t Really Remember What Happened”

Former Bucs linebacker Devin White has memory issues.
Ex-Buccaneers savior linebacker Devin White was all over the place yesterday during his news conference announcing him as a member of the Philadelphia Eages.
It felt like nobody coached up White on how to avoid talking about what he didn’t want to talk about, aka his demise last season in Tampa.
“It’s been a roller coaster. You know, a lot happened, a lot good and a lot bad. And the end of the day, I stayed myself. I stayed sane. I think I found the other side. It’s a good side.”
Asked to elaborate on the ups and downs of last season versus prior years, White said, “None of that really matters to me, I don’t really remember what happened. You know, I’m all tunnel vision on the future and what can happen in the future [with the Eagles].”
White gave Joe a good laugh. Of course White knows exactly what happened. He got benched by a head coach/defensive coordinator that was one of his greatest and most public champions, a man considered an esteemed guru of defensive football.
As far as why that happened, well, it seems White won’t be sharing for a little while.
White told Eagles media, “my No. 1 ability is leadership, leading by example.”

Change of scenery is often what people need. They originally had him penciled in as an outside in a 4-3, now he’s going to be inside in a 3/4. Hopefully the coach can get through to him

Seems strange to say because the guy has so much God given talent – but the Bucs truly are better off without Devin White than with him.

With a Bucs Defense that was ranked 24th in total defense after the first 7 weeks and 23rd in total defense at the end with 6 games against the weakest division and one game with the Jags playing their worse football?
Bowles is not a Guru of Jack Squat. In the game or out of the game White was not moving the needle either way so why not play the young guys? He knew White was leaving at the end of the season. Came off a little vindictive. Something a scorned woman would do. I suppose some stretch mediocre to guru and average to elite.

Capt. Tim. I’m a bucs fan you are a Baker fan that’s why when he plays bad you give him every excuse in the book. And more likely you will be doing the same thing this year. And it’s not about being a Trask fan it’s about the truth. Kyle Trask was better than Baker in training camp and that’s a proven fact. Baker became the starter to sale tickets that’s a fact. And yes I don’t make up excuses for players regardless of the players. But let you and the other Baker fans say it Baker Mayfield is a hall of famer lol 🤣🤣!!

Hurt or not he missed plays and was clearly out played by a younger less expensive “Back up” .
This is all about production. No one cares who is hurt. Was he hurt the year previous… so was every player he faced. He still over pursued and still blew plays. Yes he made some but overall its a team game and DW wasn’t playing it last coulple of years. No bias just facts.

I’m just a fan and I know what happened. After the Rams playoff game, when the Bucs lose the game on a blitz, Todd Bowles lost his nerve, and decided the Bucs would now be a passive zone defense – and White is not a passive zone LB.
I hope you enjoy passive zones, because that’s the future now that Bowles has run off his top man corner and got rid of his interior blitzing LB.

Just because I don’t give Brady all the credit for the bucs winning a superbowl in 2020 don’t mean I’m trashing him . Remember in the NFC championship game he made Rogers throw a incomplete pass that helped us win the NFC championship game after Brady threw his 3 picks that kept the Packers in the game!!
