More hot air from Peter King.
Joe loves how the man who tripled-down on his Bucs-will-suck prediction is being forced to talk about the team in late January.
Yeah, Joe’s talking about NFL super insider Peter King of NBC Sports. Joe is irritated by King. He was welcomed into Bucs general manager Jason Licht’s unique COVID draft war room back in 2020 and seems to give Licht no credit for what the Bucs have accomplished since that time.
Joe hopes Licht blocks King’s cell number and stiffs him on an interview if King comes to Tampa next season on his annual training camp tour. Face it, Mr. Licht, King’s retiring soon anyway and you have no desire to hear King pontificate in your face.
Anyway, King was on Pro Football Talk with the great Mike Florio this week and had a chilly review of the Bucs’ offense. “This is a somewhere between competent and good offense right now,” King said.
Gee thanks, Peter. The Bucs have averaged 24 1/2 points per game over their last six contests. That’s among the top quarter of the NFL.
Like many NFL observers, King seems to be just now figuring out the Bucs have a ton of starters with major playoff experience. He was adamant that the Bucs “will not be intimidated” in the Lions’ crazy-loud dome on Sunday.
King’s stance on all things NFC South is just one more reason Joe is aching for a Bucs victory.
For those wondering, King was on the Falcons’ bandwagon this preseason after picking the slimy Saints to be the No. 1 seed in the NFC for the 2022 season (with Jameis Winston at quarterback).

At least Peter King is good at being a fat, slovenly oaf. At least his cholesterol is sky high. I’d advise him to jump in the bay next time he visits, but he would generate such a massive tsunami from the water displacement that innocents would be harmed.

King has been living off his long-ago past performance as an analyst. As he has gotten older, he sits on his lazy fat ass and pontificates uninformed projections on who’s the better team.
He’s needs to be put out to pasture so that no one will ever have to listen to his bullsh** again.

Guys like King are professional duds who want to get paid by the word. In my business career I met a lot of self important know it alls that were very sure of themselves. Expression I used to describe these guys was “Often wrong, but never in doubt.”

Hard to believe that the Bucs averaged over 24 points in their six games given the back to back stinkers v the Saints and Panthers. You might want to recheck your math Joseph’s.

King is an idiot – but how the offense looks from week to week is all about Baker. If good Baker shows up, everything works great, the run game looks good, the passing game looks good, etc. If bad Baker shows up, nothing looks good and the offense looks broken. Of course if you go and watch the tape, you’ll see guys running wide open, just like they are on good Baker weeks, but he just misses them (which, btw the way, is why I think Canles has done a great job, a much better job than people realize).
Also before you Baker Bois get your panties in a bunch, it’s OK to not be perfect 100% of the time. Lets just hope we get the good version of Baker on Sunday – but in any case, this game is a bonus, so whatever happens, happens, but hopefully we’re talking about a home game vs the Packers next week at this time.
