Chris Godwin Finishes With 83 Catches And 1,024 Yards

Searching hard for satisfying feelings today, Joe landed on Chris Godwin, whose late-fourth-quarter catch formally put the Bucs’ ugly 9-0 win against the Panthers in the bank.
Godwin led the Bucs with 6 catches for 51 yards on 7 targets, as the Panthers benefited from Baker Mayfield’s errant throws to Mike Williams, in addition to the Panthers giving Evans a load of attention.
Godwin entered the game needing 27 yards to bust 1,000 for the fourth time in his seven-year career. He got the job done.
It was a busy year for Godwin, who had 130 targets and 83 catches but just 2 touchdowns. He probably would have earned every penny of his $20 million salary if the Bucs had sent more work his way.
There’s still time, thankfully, with a playoff game ahead.

What ashame…..Godwin & Evans are on a such a bad team with a below average QB and O-Line.
On any other team, those two would be unstoppable!!!!

I think also Baker passed 4,000 yards and did not have an int. So his int to td ratio is still very good.

Dave Canales is a sorry as offensive coordinator. Chris Godwin should have more touchdowns, targets, and yards that he does.

That’s nice but 1000 yrd seasons aren’t really that special anymore with the extra game now…..1250 or even 1500 should be the standard now

Uggggggggly AF, now sort out wtf going is going on, damn it! That was hideous. If we play like that again, we’re done, simple as that. A missed field goal and a goal line fumble saved our butts today.

I think people are totally forgetting that our O-Line is average to below average…….Baker doesn’t have much time in the pocket.
……and it’s not like Baker is the most accurate QB anyways

On the Evans bomb why didn’t baker throw the ball outside to Evans away from the Panthers Safety
Every key player on the offense stats look decent, but they should have had more wins this season.
However, we made the playoffs. Let’s get the dubb next week

We’re probably not going anywhere in the playoffs, but at least we screwed the cheap shot artists in New Orleans out of a playoff spot. That alone makes it worth it.

Would have been awesome to see Bucs with first ever dual 1K yard wide receivers and 1K yard RB…

I wonder if Bowles is going to say Evans, Godwin and White were all triple teamed again today and that’s why we couldn’t do anything. Mayfield had at least 3 balls that could have been picked. Gonna get booed out of the stadium next week if Canales don’t get a better game plan and plays. 2 weeks in a row that we looked completely horrible!
