ESPN Communists Cut Key Part Of Williams Story

Welcome to Disney, where if something’s ugly or doesn’t fit the agenda of the month, it can not be tolerated.

The story below this one, that Joe posted at 2 p.m., includes a link to a Pat “Vacation Man” Yasinskas column that included a damning story told by Yasinskas about Doug Williams giving away Bucs gear at a local barber shop.

But the Bucs have also botched a lot of other departures throughout their history. It took years after Doug Williams’ original departure for the wounds to heal. The team accomplished that when they brought Williams back as a personnel guy. Then, they absolutely blew that bridge up again when they pushed Williams out the door a few months back.

I live in Tampa and I know this for a fact. Williams walked into a Tampa barber shop recently and was giving away the last of his Buccaneers’ golf shirts and saying he’ll never wear them again. That’s a shame and it probably never should have come to that point. But it has and it’s too late to repair the latest Williams fiasco.

Yet now, these two paragraphs above have been deleted from the ESPN.com columnn.

Shame on you, BSPN. Or shame on you, Vacation Man, for whatever shame caused you to delete those two paragraphs.

Maybe Mark Dominik has Yasinskas on speed dial, too.

    I don’t think Pat got censored because of his substance…he got censored because he’s a terrible writer. The average guy cant tell if he witnessed these events himself or if this is hearsay from a dreaded unnamed source. Pat is mediocre at his job and has no business being the BSPN NFC South blogger.

    How did Pat Yakysakin even get a job at ESPN?

    I’ve never read ANYTHING insightful from that guy.

    Full disclosure: Joe has met Pat a couple of times, once broke bread with him. Both meetings Pat had been very polite. Joe doesn’t always agree with him — who the hell totally agrees with someone all the time?

    I meant no offense to him as a person just as a writer and I suppose I’m suffering from a case of Internet “liquid courage” as I would never say that to his face (lol).

    On the bright side, Pat’s vacations and general lack of a pulse on his blog allowed me to find JBF! See there’s a silver lining in every dark cloud!

    I think they deleted it because it probably had no shred of truthfulness to it whatsoever. While he may be polite, he is absolutely worthless as a writer. His list of top coaches in the history of the NFC South was absolute drivel.

    Why is the possibility that he could be wrong and thats why it was retracted not even being considered?

    Well, he does say “I know this for a fact” so it must be true.

    A former employee that is unhappy about being terminated? Why are we talking about this? Do we expect football to be unlike the rest of the world?
