Tristan Wirfs Said He Is Fine

No need to fret.

So Mike Alstott Tristan Wirfs was robbed of glory today. He is more pained about that than anything else.

Fans may have seen Wirfs go down with what looked like a painful injury late in the game. Don’t fret.

Entering the locker room, Joe noticed Wirfs still wearing his pants and cleats. Wirfs was joking and laughing with his offensive line teammates. They were enjoying the win.

If a guy is in bad pain, he’s not laughing and joking and standing and still wearing his game gear from belt to toe. Joe didn’t even notice a faint grimace on Wirfs’ face.

Didn’t look too hurt to Joe. That is because Wirfs isn’t.

Joe asked Wirfs about his late-game injury.

“I’m fine,” Wirfs said. “I just rolled my ankle.”

And while Wirfs was saying this, his entire body language was chill if not happy.

So you can breathe easy, Bucs fans. All seems to be good with perhaps the best left tackle in football.

    That’s good. He’s the best player on the team hands down. He’s gonna break the bank for his second contract and it is well deserved.

    Hey Joe, will you ask Bowles and Canales if they can make a tackle eligible play for Wirfs. After he scooped up that fumble and took off down the field he needs his own play. As another commenter on here said as well, get Wirfs at FB and Vea at RB or swap it up. No more 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1 that we can’t pick up with those 2 in the backfield. Man!!! How would you like to see those 2 coming into a hole full steam away!!!! Oh man that would be wild!!!

    Since we can’t get first downs running for third and shorts, why not handing ball off to Vita!? He was a running back in H.S. I believe, why not? Whose stopping him? Our version of the Philly sneak

    Well, he didn’t look hurt. And he didn’t act as if he was hurt (badly). If you have a bad foot injury, the training staff will have a player get out of his cleats and wear a boot. Wirfs still had his cleats on 15 minutes after the game.

    I’ve rolled my ankle tons of times. It hurts like a m$##&$*er for the first few minutes, but if you’ve got fast enough reflexes and can get your body weight off that leg, you can be right as rain after that initial burst of pain passes. I bet Wirfs’ reflexes are plenty fast enough to make that happen if mine are.
