Lavonte David Reaches 1,000-Solo-Tackle Mark

It came in the fourth quarter with the game already decided — after another quality performance from the Bucs’ iconic 33-year-old linebacker.
Lavonte David tackled Titans tight end Josh Whyle with about one minue remaining for solo tackle No. 1,000 of his 12-season career.
Per Pro-Football-Reference.com, only 13 players have more solo tackles than David since 1994. One is Hall of Fame Buccaneers cornerback Rondé Barber (1,044) and another is legendary Tampa Bay linebacker Derrick Brooks (1,300).
Two of David’s takedowns today were tackles for loss, giving him 154 of those in his career. Of the eight players with more tackles for loss than David since 1999, all lined up on the line of scrimmage in their careers. David has not.
What a resumé David is padding. More important, he’s having a great season and looks like at least four years younger on the field than his age, and David has been healthy all season.

LVD is up there with the great DB55 honestly might even be a hair better. LVD has had to play on the worst team in NFL history and still played lights out while DB55 played on a historically great defense that played at a high level for awhile. IRA GET LVD INTO THE HALL OF FAME

At the end of this season, regardless of where the Bucs are picking in the draft, Wirfs, Winfield, David and Evans need to be resigned.

The biggest difference between LD54 and DB55, is interceptions. DB55 has 26/6 TDs, LD54 has 12/2.
Although, LD54 has 31 sacks, compared to DB55 13.5.
One might say that the Tampa 2 didn’t use DB55 as a blitzer much and he was used a lot more in coverage. The defenses used with LD54 blitzed him a lot more.
Who is better? I’d say DB55. Not to say that LD54 isn’t close. It is close.
