Major Milestone For Lavonte David
November 5th, 2023Joe is taking a brief crisis break to share a Lavonte David nugget that’s worthy of Bucs fans pondering as they soak themselves in various stress relievers.
Today in Houston, David recorded his 28th career forced fumble in the regular season. (Derrick Brooks has 24.)
The crushing hit in the first quarter popped the ball loose and Antoine Winfield Jr. scooped it up (video below). It set up the Bucs’ first score in the groin-stomp 39-37 loss.
With that forced fumble, David passed Khalil Mack, Tony Brackens, Clay Matthews, Von Miller and J.J. Watt on the all-time list. He ranks second among active players behind Chandler Jones.
David is having a hell of a season, despite some rough missed tackles in the last few games.
Joe would love, just on principle, to see the Bucs re-sign David for 2024 immediately.

LVD deserves a better ending to his stellar career…he really does than this clown show….

Well, he sucked today.

I feel bad for David. Dude is a stud and has to keep dealing with these crap performances. Bucs continue to waste his talent and it’s gonna be a sad day when he steps away. Our 5th round pick that was supposed to be better then David gets shown week after week how a real HOF LB should play. David should go win another SB before he’s done.

White didn’t even tackle he just 2 hand touch him!
November 5th, 2023 at 5:33 pm
One of the very few players on this defense that are worth a damn. Vea, Winfield and David. You only have 3 quality starters on you defense.
Licht should be held accountable
November 5th, 2023 at 5:35 pm
Jim Harbaugh and the Glazier boys need to become real close these next few months!
November 5th, 2023 at 5:38 pm
Has Bowles been fired yet?

Pro’s Pro!

The biggest problem for Devin White to get his money is that he plays alongside David. The difference of quality, attitude, heart and professionalism is glaring!!
Love to have seen David all these years in a Bucs uniform, but, in the end, he was unlucky. If he had been drafted by a good team he would be a slam-dunk Hall of Famer.

LVD was pissed when he came off the field after the final seconds. White played superlative and spelled him. They were on the field when the refs called 450 (it seemed) defensive pass holdings on the Tampa defense. It was so crooked it was hard to watch. Bucs Radio lost the streaming midway the the game, so I had to hit the tube. No sound though.🏈🙂 Hate the announcers. Listened/watched plenty of this sh1t over the years. I will be listening to the rest of the season. Seriously doubt the Glazer boys have the cajones to confront the rest of the owners over it.

Devin White is gone next season I think. He looked better today but he is not worth 100 mil amd he has mental issues in my opinion. So therefore keeping David next season is likely in my opinion and considering the salary cap going forward. Looks like David will retire a Buccaneer in the future. Not sure I cam say the same for Evans though. If I’m the Bucs and choosing between Evans and Godwin next season. I’m choosing Evans and moving Godwin
November 5th, 2023 at 7:11 pm
Godwin is not the same player after his injury and not worth what we are paying him in my opinion.
November 6th, 2023 at 12:59 pm
@Bobby – Godwin is to blame for the defense not doing their job ? Did you watch the game yesterday ? Godwin was playing great , when he had an opportunity. He fought through 3 guys to get the first down and set up R. White’s TD run…

The problem is our Bucs 2 $20mil a year CBs that can’t make a play to save their lives. I don’t know when corners stopped playing the ball, instead of waiting for the WR to catch it and then hopefully get a tackle. If it was Ronde Barber or Brian Kelly , they would be looking for the ball as they are running with the WR . That’s the coaches fault though. The offense was not the problem yesterday , outside a sluggish 3rd quarter.

54 deserves to do what ever he wants to. Unfortunately, another Buc that was woefully underated during his playing years. Paul Gruber, Tony Mayberry, and my personal favorite offensive lineman – Ian Beckles. Shout out to James Wilder too. Always go Bucs!!

Yo. Tampa Bay DJ. I feel like it’s more of not playing to the strengths. I’m not sure that we’re built to play a lot of zone style. Anybody agree?
