Big day for Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and the pass rush.
UPDATED: Joe Tryon-Shoyinka did not hesitate when Joe asked him if today’s practice against the Jets was a standout event.
Joe is sure Aaron Rodgers definitely knows who Tryon-Shoyinka is. Rodgers on the wrong end if inside and outside moves from Tryon-Shoyinka. JTS seemed more active and effective.
Was it your best practice of the summer, Joe?
“I think it was. It was a different level of intensity and I need to make sure I bring that every single day, compete against whoever is front of me regardless of the jersey,” Tryon-Shoyinka said.
“It was cool. I was just real sick of going against Bucs, so I had to go show up against a different team.”
Tryon-Shoyinka had varied success off the left edge and he told Joe that he’s comfortable on both sides, adding he has moves specific to the left edge.
Shaq Barrett was very active opposite JTS and the Bucs’ pass rush impressed various Jets media. Joe watched slippery Aaron Rodgers throw a hearty number of balls away, or plays were blown dead because pass rushers were in QBs faces. Of course, quarterbacks aren’t hit in training camp.
A very encouraging day for the Bucs’ first-team pass rush.
Remember, it was general manager Jason Licht who said Friday that Tryon-Shoyinka has made “big strides” this summer. Perhaps he has. Fingers crossed.
Now Anthony Nelson sacks Rodgers. He legitimately has to run if he tries to let anything develop.

First-hand examples of why Saleh chewed out his OL. The Jet’s OL appears to be struggling just like ours.
We shouldn’t be too optimistic about our DL based on today’s practice. Let’s see what happens vs Minnesota.

This is a big deal. We will need a very salty defense this year. Points will be hard to come by no matter who is QB.

this is our big chance to trade Wirfs to the Jets for the biggest haul ever gotten for an OL. Could even leverage them into taking Jensen in the same deal.

Personally, I think that Wirfs is going to easily the best OL man that we ever had and those guys play for 12 years or so.
I would not do it for 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders.

Practice…We Happy about Practice…..Week 1 vs Minnesota show me the sack and QB hits then maybe we discuss pass rush…. I see our starters getting embarrassed against the Jets starters if the play Saturday even if it’s only 2 Drives….Com on Man
