“Tom Brady’s My Favorite Player Of All-Time”

July 21st, 2023

This could provide a shred of perspective on Kyle Trask’s shot at becoming the Buccaneers’ opening day quarterback.

His offensive coordinator is smitten with the opportunity Trask had the past two years. Dave Canales was gushing about it on the 2 B’s In A Pod podcast.

“Tom Brady’s my favorite player of all-time,” Canales said. “…Knowing that Kyle got to spend some time just sitting there watching and seeing what he did, you know, I would have killed to be a fly on the wall in that room.”

It’s not the first time Canales has beamed about Brady’s obvious influence on Trask. Canales has said he can see it in the Trask dropbacks.

How much did Trask learn from Brady and can Trask put those lessons to work on the field? Joe can’t wait to find out.

Ironically, two guys tasked with developing Trask, former offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and QB coach Clyde Christensen, left the team. If Trask thrives as the Bucs starter with just half the prime training camp reps this summer, those guys will deserve quite a thank you note signed by a lot of important people at One Buc Palace. Brady, too.

Trask had the perfect teacher. Now we’ll see how much he can translate to the field.

  2. Bucsfan13 Says:

Favorite player of all time? Wow. I could see him saying his favorite QB of all time, but he went even further. Brady’s footwork is flawless. His drop backs are so precise. He never drifts too far. That’s why his tackles love him. If it’s a seven step drop, he going to be at the mark. Proximity to greatness doesn’t always rub off on others. Let’s hope Clyde did a good job with Trask’s development

  3. Jack Clark Says:

Tom Brady is my favorite NFL player of all time because he won us a Super Bowl in our own friggin stadium!

  4. Duane Says:

None of us have any freaking idea who is going to be the starting quarterback for the Bucs in Week 1. But for all those who simply dismiss Kyle Trask as an option ignore far too much of actual reality and history, both Trask’s history as an disrespected back bencher who nevertheless excelled when given a chance to prove himself, and Trask’s history “learning at the knee” of the GOAT.

With JBF and most of the Trask haters here at JBF, it’s all driven by Nole love and Gater hate. It’s obvious every time JBF writes one of his posts dripping with sarcasm and disrespect about the “Trask lovers” and “bull gators”.

I mean, really, grow up. College ball is for kids – the NFL is the adult world. Nobody should care in the slightest bit what school a given player played for.

Personally, I hope both Mayfield and Trask succeed, making the Cannales selection of the starter as hard as it can be. Then if the starter goes down, or disappoints, we still have a quality replacement.

I would personally go a little further even and possibly say that

“Tom Brady’s My Favorite Person Of All-Time”

TB and Jesus are 2 of the Greatest humans ever.

  6. Dewey Selmon Says:

He spelt Mr. Derrick Brooks wrong

  7. SufferingSince76 Says:

How can anyone outside of One Buc Place know what Kyle Trask can do? It’s like he’s been locked down since he’s been there.

  8. Mike C Says:

“TB and Jesus are 2 of the Greatest humans ever.” Wasn’t that dude an alien or something?

  10. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

I’M GLAD TO HEAR DAVE CANALES SAY TOM BRADY WAS HIS FAVORITE PLAYER..I PRAY THAT KYLE TRASK CAN POSSIBLY BECOME THAT TYPE OF NO NONSENSE QUARTERBACK WHO NEVER NEVER QUITS & DEFIES THE ODDS TIME AFTER TIME WITH HIS LEADERSHIP & RELENTLESSNESS….NOT ONLY DOES KYLE NEEDTO PLAY LIKE TOM BUT DEVELOP THAT ATTITUDE TOM HAD ABOUT HATING TO LOSE..TO THE POINT OF OBSESSION THAT TOM ALWAYS HAD…,IF HE DOES, WATCH OUT WORLD, THE NAME “KYLE TRASK ” WILL ALSO BECOME FAMOUS AS A GREAT QUARTERBACK IN THIS LEAGUE..BEATING OUT BAKER MAYFIELD IS A TALL TASK, BUT KYLE DEFINITELY HAS THE SIZE ADVANTAGE ON HIS SIDE..

  11. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

IN MY HEART, I WANT BOTH QUARTERBACK’S TO SUCCEED..AS I’VE SAID IN THE PAST, I PRAYED FOR THE BUCCANEERS TO DRAFT BOTH THESE QUARTERBACKS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DRAFT YEARS..I SAW FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK IN BOTH OF THEM..I JUST WISH KYLE WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN 2ND STRING TO KYLE, INSTEAD OF FARTING AROUND WITH BLAINE GABBERT AS THE BACKUP TO BRADY..HE COULD HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH MORE IN ACTUAL GAME SITUATIONS FROM “TOM”…OH WELL, NO SENSE CRYING OVER SPILT MILK…LET’S GO KYLE & BAKER ! MAY THE BEST MAN WIN THIS STARTING JOB & LEAD OUR BUCCANEERS TO ANOTHER SUPER BOWL TITLE ( POST-TOM BRADY)..WE DID IT WITH JOURNEYMAN BRAD JOHNSON, WE CAN DO IT AGAIN WITH EITHER ONE OF THESE QUARTERBACK’S TOO ! ! !

  12. kyle Says:

    gators suck.. go dawgs

  13. HC Grover Says:

GOAT is the Top Buc ever. Thanks JBF for making the off season so interesting. Almost time for Football Practice and the 1st pre-season game.

  14. Dwayne Cone Says:

I saw a segment with Trask and Steve Mariucci where coach drew up a play, explained it, and flipped the board over. They talked a couple minutes and then Trask drew it up just like it was explained. Very Smart.

If the competition is dead even and goes to experience then I would say Trask is a starting QB. At least a Sub .500 QB with 102 TD’s to 64INT’s over a 5 year career.

  15. EEK Says:

    Trask will get his shot

Can the season start like now?

  16. Defense Rules Says:

I’ve seen no indication that Tom Brady took Kyle Trask under his wing for 2 years. Quite the opposite, he apparently specifically wanted Blaine Gabbert as his second. Kyle was just ‘there’ it seems.

I’ve seen no indication that Byron Leftwich even knew Kyle’s name. Of course the same might apply to Ke-Shawn Vaughn & several others on the offense. (I sometimes wonder if BL didn’t plug in some OLinemen into positions will-nilly, ie, Goedeke for starters?).

I’ve seen no indication that our proclaimed ‘QB Whisperer’ Bruce Arians ‘mentored’ Kyle Trask in any way.

So that leaves Clyde (still brings back memories of Clint Eastwood’s ‘sidekick’ in ‘Every Which Way But Loose’). Wonder if his focus was supposed to be preparing Trask to take over the reins when Brady did finally step down. Was he the mentor in the crowd of QB Whisperers? Or did Kyle just grab what crumbs that he could based on being in the same meetings as Tom Brady. (He didn’t dress for most games from what I’ve read).

Like a number of others, I’m rooting for the young man to succeed. But based on the afore-mentioned coaches providing him with a grand total of TEN offensive snaps over 2 seasons, I’m not sure how much praise should be lavished on the group of them. We still have no idea what we have in Kyle Trask.

  17. Fred McNeil Says:

We shall see who’s who in camp starting next week.

  18. ChiBuc Says:

“Byron Leftwich and QB coach Clyde Christensen, left the team. If Trask thrives as the Bucs starter with just half the prime training camp reps this summer, those guys will deserve quite a thank you…”

Joe, I disagree. His success will be 8n spite of those individuals who were not even able to get Trask reps on a side field whilel employing one of the largest staffs in the NFL. Clyde and Lefty are products of proximity and the good ol boy network. Neither developed any marginal player, but both have benefited by working along side great HCs and QBs

  19. TOMMY MORDUE Says:

DAWGS SUCK ,GO GATORS ! ! !.. ( KYLE THREW ABOUT 5 TOUCHDOWN PASSES AGAINST YOU GUYS HIS SENIOR SEASON & THE GATORS KICKED YOUR ASS ! ) ( HE ALSO WAS AN HEISMAN FINALIST THAT YEAR..ANYWAY, WHAT I ORIGINALLY WANTED TO SAY WAS ( I GOT MAD & FORGOT WHAT I WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO SAY..) ANYWAY, I FEEL REGARDLESS OF WHO WINS THE STARTING QB JOB, WE ( THE MIGHTY BUCCANEERS ) WILL WIN OUR DIVISION & HOST A 1ST ROUND PLAYOFF GAME ! ) EITHER QB CAN START FOR MANY TEAMS IN THE NFL..HAVING THEM BOTH IS A REAL BLESSING FOR THIS TEAM..IF KYLE TRASK CAN DEVELOP THAT”KILLER INSTINCT” THAT TOM BRADY HAD THERE WILL BE NO STOPPING HIM..HE’S VERY ACCURATE ( AVERAGED 4 TD PASSES A GAME HIS SENIOR YEAR AT FLORIDA ) BRUCE ARIANS ( THE QUARTERBACK WHISPERER ) HAND PICKED HIM (KYLE TRASK)..WHICH GOES A LONG WAY IN ASSESSING THE KIND OF PLAYER HE IS CAPABLE OF BEING..TOTALLY INCOURAGED BY THE ROSTER JASON LIGHT, TODD BOWLES & COMPANY PUT TOGETHER WITH SUCH PHENOMENAL CAP RESTRAINTS WE WERE STUCK WITH( POST-TOM BRADY ) THIS TEAM WILL SUCCEED REGARDLESS OF ALL THE NEGATIVE PRESS WE CONTINUE TO RECIEVE ( BRADY IS A MAN, NOT A GOD ) GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS PEOPLE ,YOU WIN & LOSE AS A TEAM..ALL POSITIONS SHOULD BE VALUED WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF VALUE (QUARTERBACK BEING THE ONLY EXCEPTION ( FOR HE IS TO BE THE ON FIELD GENERAL OF THE TEAM)

  20. Hodad Says:

Baker will start, but sometime this season Trask will have to play. Baker gets danged a lot. Look at his injury history. Sets up for Trask coming off the bench like he’s always done.

  21. Beej Says:

Tommy NObody reads your sh*t, stop it

  22. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Brady was not thrilled with Trask, and demanded an experienced backup to hang with him on the sidelines.

  23. Dooley Says:

“Tommy NObody reads your sh*t, stop it”

I do, Tommy has been spittin lately lol I just take it he types in caps like my dad who’s always bragging about his AARP discounts in my inbox. NGL I can’t wait to hit that age so I can justifiably hit the diner every morning and cut my lawn 4 times a week LOL

  24. Boss Says:

so what. He was playing for a SB year one when Trask came in. This is the one area where TB did fall short because of his off the field drama, whether that be AB or his divorce.

it did not seem like TB was interested in mentoring in his final years. maybe that is on Trask, but I would put it more on TB. Trask still should have learned an extreme amount. If he can not overtake mayfield then thats on Trask. I am talking after we go 0-4 with BM and Trask comes in after the bye week. he’ll get his shot.

  25. Mostly Peaceful Trask Fan Says:

The Brady influence on Trask is apparent. No hitch release – quiet feet.

I’m excited to see what Trask does on the field.

  26. Tucker Says:

Sounds like coach speak, it’s what some fans want to hear though so they eat it up, like DF said there is no indication he has anything but crumbs for development. From what Joe has said he has seen at practice I just don’t buy any of it seems like he just isn’t good and baker is a good gamble with a chip on his shoulder that may or may not work out, but considering the cap restraints it wasn’t a bad plan. You can only do much with limited resources. Can’t wait for the season to start though go bucs!!

  27. Duane Says:

I cannot recall of any one story where Brady took a younger signal caller under his belt in his long career. I do remember a couple of cases where promising backups were traded because The Goat wanted them gone. Brady wasnt even all in last season to spend time with his offense, where did he find a way to fit Trask into the mix? Trask is a complete X factor. He definitely did not do himself any favors by being so invisible these last couple of seasons.

  28. Beej Says:

I’m trying to remember ANY story of a former team mate dissing Brady. He’s the kind of guy who goes out of his way to remember the name of the guy who sweeps the floor

  29. A Bucs Fan Says:

He’s Lichts pick. No one else wanted him in the QB room. Personally, I hope he’s great cause he hasn’t been given a chance.

  30. turtle Says:

Tucker Says: “From what Joe has said he has seen at practice I just don’t buy any of it.”

From what Joe has jotted down in his notes from 2023 spring practices I buy all of it. Go read them. Kyle went toe to toe with Baker.

  31. miken Says:

Still surreal that we had the GOAT for 3 years. Man, that was fun.

  32. turtle Says:

Duane Says: “Trask did not do himself any favors by being so invisible these last couple of seasons.”

Great point. When the Bucs told Trask he would not dress for the games he should have put on his uniform and taken away Gabbert’s clipboard and told Brady to give him some game snaps. With geniuses like you who needs Einstein?

  33. Rod Munch Says:

My favorite player of all time?

    The Nigerian Nightmare, Donald Igwebuike.

  34. Rod Munch Says:

Why is everything this guy says sound like the most safe, generic answer you can give? Something about this guy just really bugs me.

  35. Pickgrin Says:

Even if Mayfield plays extremely well – its a low% chance that he will stay healthy enough to play all 17 games this year.

Bucs fans will get to see Trask start at least a couple/few games this year and perhaps more if Baker gets seriously injured or sucks…..

Kyle’s actual “development” into an NFL Quarterback with coaches actually TRYING to improve his game as quickly as possible and prepare him to get on the field with the 1s is just starting this offseason. Its no shame to Trask or his abilities if Baker Mayfield’s “experience” wins him the starting job.

Trask will get his chances to play this year – and it might even be in Kyle’s best interest (and the best interest of a true evaluation) if that chance comes later in the year.

  36. AKicknTheBucNuts Says:

  37. ATLBuc Says:

Beej says: I’m trying to remember ANY story of a former team mate dissing Brady

Remember Antonio Brown? Also, I read and enjoy Tommy’s takes.
    DR
We know from the episodes with Garappalo that TB isn’t too enamored with up and coming QB’s but Brady did not necessarily have to take Kyle under his wing for Kyle to observe and learn.
Early this morning I watched replay of the Gators vs LSU thrown shoe game. Trask threw over 400 yards and 4 TDS and Pitts didn’t even play that game. Back then, Kyle had excellent footwork and pocket presence. When the balls start flying in preseason games and Trask’s touchdowns are compared with Baker’s sacks and interceptions, it will be clearly evident what our future is at QB.
The Bucs already know. Joe talks about the company line being players supporting the competition story. But the rest company line is to keep our secret weapon under wraps. They compliment Mayfield because they feel sorry for him. Why would Evans or Godwin want a QB who couldn’t connect with Odell Beckham a player who can catch any pass in his vicinity?

  38. ATLBuc Says:

Any Bucs fan who wants Mayfield to start also wants Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to fail.
Only twice in his career, both in 2019, has Mayfield thrown over 1000 yards to a receiver during a season. Only once has Mayfield thrown as many as 6 touchdown passes to a single receiver during one season.
So, if Baker starts there’s an over 80% probability that neither Godwin or Evans exceeds 1000 yards and 5 TDs.

  39. Defense Rules Says:

I’m thinking that a lot of fans & media are under the impression the Bucs NEED a high-performing QB to be a competitive team. Obviously Tom Brady spoiled us, but before him the Bucs never had any lights-out QBs. In winning seasons we’ve done well almost exclusively because our DEFENSE did well.

    2021 (13-4) … Offense #2 – Defense #5
    2020 (11-5) … Offense #3 – Defense #8
    2016 (9-7) … Offense #18 – Defense #15
    2010 (10-6) … Offense #20 – Defense #9
    2008 (9-7) … Offense #19 – Defense #10
    2007 (9-7) … Offense #18 – Defense #3
    2005 (11-5) … Offense #20 – Defense #8
    2002 (12-4) … Offense #18 – Defense #1
    2001 (9-7) … Offense #15 – Defense #8
    2000 (10-6) … Offense #6 – Defense #7
    1999 (11-5) … Offense #27 – Defense #3
    1997 (10-6) … Offense #23 – Defense #2
    1982 (5-4) … Offense #18 – Defense #16
    1981 (9-7) … Offense #18 – Defense #4
    1979 (10-6) … Offense #21 – Defense #1

That’s 15 winning seasons in our storied 47 years, and in all but 3 of those the defense ranked considerably higher than our offense. DEFENSE is our heritage. Our average defensive ranking in those 15 winning seasons was slightly better than a #7 ranking (our defense still ranked in the Top-10 even in those 3 years when the offense ranked higher than defense). Average offensive ranking in those 15 winning seasons? #16

  40. ReggieJax Says:

Nice chart Defense rules, but if your going to win a Super Bowl you need some offense also. In the post season most teams have above average defenses. Kansas ain’t just winning with defense.

  41. kyle Says:

Tommy^^^ good job.. we will see the lizards in jville

  42. ATLBuc Says:

    DR
So true. We need a qb who is steady, doesn’t turn the ball over and doesn’t take sacks. Interestingly the GOAT couldn’t stay on the field but I believe that was the result of the lack of scheming on the part of Brady and Leftwich. I don’t believe that we have to score a lot of points but we do need to make first downs and keep our killer defense fresh

  43. A Bucs Fan Says:

@ DR I tend to agree with you, but for the past 30 years odds have winning the SB triple when both offense and defense are in the top 10. There’s about an 17% chance to win if Defense is in the top 10 and offense is not. Similar percentage for the reverse although in the most recent years (mainly due to the Chiefs) offense has made a bigger impact on this stat with both Super Bowl wins coming with a top 5 offense and out of top 10 defense ( 15,16 respectfully).

  44. Jack Clark Says:

    Defense Rules Says:

    DEFENSE is our heritage

Defense may be our heritage but offensive minded head coaches win us Super Bowls and make our team exciting to watch. Jon Gruden, Bruce Arians, and Dirk Koetter

  45. BucsFanSince76 Says:

The game has changed a bunch since the Dungy years when running the ball and keeping it close was the formula for success. NFL is a pass happy league now and Trask is the man that can stand in there and deliver the ball on time and on target down the field. Trask is ready and able to take Bucs where they want to be. Dan Orlovsky rated Mayfield the worst QB in the NFC South and I agree. Baker had the worst QBR in the NFL last year and has the most INT’s in the NFL over the last 5 years as well , Trask is the guy and he will prove it.

  46. BucsFanSince76 Says:

Trask is the guy. Wait and see.

  47. DFW Buc Says:

“Tom Brady is my favorite NFL player of all time because he won us a Super Bowl in our own friggin stadium!”. Jack thank you for summing up my thoughts in one sentence

  48. Tbbucs3 Says:

Kyle Trask is a likable guy and I’ll be rooting for his success…. obnoxious gator fans however, are not likable and make everything little thing about some in state rivarly that has nothing to do with the NFL.

But this is a fake QB competition, Kyke Trask has 0 chance of being the opening day starter…the Bucs want to see if Mayfield has anything left and if he sucks that’s when Trask will come into play.

  49. Bucsfan13 Says:

Will people stop complaining and throwing out conspiracy theories that Trask was somehow held back because Brady didn’t want him. Gabbert outplayed Trask in training camp and is an experienced backup. It’s why the Chiefs chose him to backup Mahomes this season. Mahomes is by far the best QB in the league and the Chiefs decided they would feel comfortable with Blaine filling in if Mahomes got hurt, and he provides a veteran presence on the sideline. It was the same situation with the Bucs

  50. Defense Rules Says:

A Bucs Fan … ‘for the past 30 years odds have winning the SB triple when both offense and defense are in the top 10.’

Agree 100%. Just take a look at how the Pats’ offense AND defense ranked during Brady’s SB victories with them.

Jack Clark … ‘Heritage’ is history, that’s all. And the ‘history’ for the next 10, 20 or 30 years obviously hasn’t been written. Times change, and today’s NFL favors offense because of the way the rules have been rewritten.

And as an aside, I’m not a big fan of Jon Gruden. If it wasn’t for Monte Kiffin’s defenses, he would’ve been fired long before 2008. Evidence our 2002 SB year. Chucky’s high-flying offense scored 346 points (barely 22 PPG). Whooppee. And SIX TDs (42 points) came from 4 Pick-6 & 1 fumble return by the defense, and 1 punt return for a TD by Karl the Truth Williams. So in reality Gruden’s offense scored 304 points that SB year (19 PPG). Double whooppee.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Monte’s defense allowed only 196 points in those 16 games (12.3 PPG). And oh BTW, THREE were Pick-6s for 18 points. So while that 2002 defense really helped out the offense (to include giving them 38 turnovers), the same can hardly be said of Chucky’s offense helping out the defense.

  51. turtle Says:

Bucsfan13 Says: “Gabbert outplayed Trask in training camp.”

That’s not true at all. Jason Licht has said very clearly that Trask NEVER TOOK SNAPS WITH THE FIRST TEAM IN 2021 AND 2022 and would be playing with the first team FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR 2023. Gabbert got all the backup snaps with the first team; Trask got NONE. There simply was no competition between Gabbert and Trask.

  52. Beej Says:

He did not need to take snaps for Bucs staff to know where his skill levels were, for the same reason Tim Tebow never got the play in the NFL after he left Denver

  53. Jack Clark Says:

    Defense Rules Says:
    July 21st, 2023 at 3:35 pm
    ‘Heritage’ is history

Heritage is actually something transmitted by or acquired from a predecessor. So for example Todd Bowel’s heritage is our Super Bowl winning no risk it no biscuit offense — which he deliberately destroyed in his first season as our head coach. On the other hand Jon Gruden heritage was our legendary Defense that Tony Dungy built. Did Jon Gruden sabotage his inheritance like Todd Bowels? No, that’s why he won us a Super Bowl. You might want to look up the definition of heritage and start using words you understand.

  54. Tbbucs3 Says:

Trask did in fact get significant reps in training camps and didn’t preform well….it was one of the story lines for the last 2 training camps that Trask hadn’t been practicing well.

Gabbert beat him out plain and simple.

  55. Bring back the lawn chairs Says:

While it’s great having a good offense, and it even better have a great defense too, these days it’s also very important to get the officials making key calls at the rite times in order to win it all. It’s becoming painfully evident the refs determine more and more games outcomes these days. To me all this kind of started with the Bert Emanuel catch, that wasn’t against the rams in the championships. That’s when it started, when calls were made after plays from upstairs that determined outcomes that were hogwash.
And that’s what I really liked about Brady. The Bucs with him actually got some of those close calls in year 1, and year 2, but not so much last year.

  56. teacherman777 Says:

    @erik hessen

    I agree bro.

Tom Brady is a Celtic King.

Jesus, Tom Brady, Allen Iverson, Bob Marley and Alexander the Great are some of my favorite humans of all time.

Some History of Christianity for y’all.

Jesus escaped to Egypt. He grew up in Egypt. And some of the first Christians were in Egypt.

Egypt is still 10-20% Christian until today!

Jesus and his family lived in Alexandria, Egypt; which had the biggest Jewish community in Egypt.

And the Coptic Christians of Egypt still revere Alexander the Great as a Saint!

The Koran calls Alexander the Great “Dhul Qarnayn”

The Lord of Two Horns. ( check out the ancient coins with Alexander. He’s wearing the horns of Amun.)

So yea. It’s okay to love Jesus and Alexander the Great like Egyptian Christians do.

Tom Brady is defintely a Jesus like figure.

    Tom Brady is Americas Messiah.

    Not Jameis Winston.

  57. Defense Rules Says:

Jack Clark … ‘You might want to look up the definition of heritage and start using words you understand.’

Seriously? I wasn’t providing a definition, I was providing a characteristic, as in ‘based on something that was accomplished in the past … as in historical’. Yes Jon Gruden did inherit the defense that Tony Dungy & Monte Kiffin built, and without that defense Chucky’s offense was pedestrian at best. Like 304 points scored in 16 games when given 38 turnovers to work with? That’s a worse performance than what you accuse Bowles of overseeing last year when our offense scored 306 points while our defense provided them with 20 turnovers.

  58. A Bucs Fan Says:

@Tbbucs3 He did not. Need proof? Go find the interview Clyde did with Pat Mcafee where Clyde put his foot in his mouth and said Kyle would be 3rd string and that there weren’t enough reps to go around before organized activities even started for the year.

  59. turtle Says:

Tbbucs3 Says: “Trask did in fact get significant reps in training camps and didn’t preform well.”

Repeating that lie won’t make it true. Once again, Jason Licht stated very clearly just few a few months ago – in March 2023 – that Trask NEVER TOOK SNAPS WITH THE FIRST TEAM IN 2021 AND 2022 and would be playing with the first team FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR. Look it up.

A Bucs Fan Says: “@Tbbucs3 Go find the interview Clyde did where Clyde put his foot in his mouth and said Kyle would be 3rd string and that there weren’t enough reps to go around before organized activities even started for the year.”

Tbbucs3 will never find it so I did. Here are Bucs QB Coach Clyde Christensen’s off-season words on the #2 spot going to Gabbert:

“I don’t see him [Trask] competing with Gabbert for the backup job this year. He could do it, just all the odds are stacked against you. You can’t rep everybody, it’s hard to get Gabbert enough reps. So we’ll prepare Gabbert as the No. 2.”

There you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth: “So we’ll prepare Gabbert as the No. 2.”

  61. Oneilbuc Says:

Teacherman. Any human on this earth that compares any man that ever lived to Jesus Christ has lost their mind. It’s amazing how much some of you worship a man that can’t do nothing for you. He don’t even know that you even exist on the planet and if you were hungry Brady would let you starve to death because he don’t even know you. And you compare a siner to the Son of God is blasphemous. Brady chose football over his own family and you trying to compare him to The Lord Jesus Christ you are a lost man!!

  62. Oneilbuc Says:

And that’s why the bucs franchise and fan base on this site are a bunch of losers !!!

  63. adam from ny Says:
