Tom Brady Says He’s Still Following The Bucs
June 1st, 2023Joe is glued to the radio listening to The Rich Eisen Show interview of Tom Brady that’s happening right now on SiriusXM Channel 992.
Will Brady talk about the Bucs? So far, he has gone there a little.
Brady said he continues to follow news and transactions of “all the different teams that I’ve been a part of to follow them.” Joe laughed when Brady said, “all the different teams.” Does that mean he’s following the Dolphins and Raiders, too?
Brady reinforced that he’s done playing in the NFL, but he said he can still sling it.
“I can still do that I’m just not going to do that competitively,” Brady said, adding “I’m definitely tired of getting hit.”
The names Mike Evans and Chris Godwin came out of Brady’s mouth, but it was only Brady reflecting about living a charmed life throwing to superstar receivers.

He ain’t coming back, Joe.

“I’m definitely tired of getting hit.”
Yea – we noticed – for 18 games last year…
Thanks for everything Tom, but in retrospect you shouldn’t have played last year and made the right decision to hang up the cleats.

Of course he is. We are the Buccaneers.

He’s very active on the Bucs IG account. He’s always liking different posts, and commenting on a post with Ryan Jensen featured. Brady’s a media recluse and the fact that he’s addressing these rumors tells me he’s serious about retiring. He very rarely will address stuff that’s said about him. Because he doesn’t respond, this makes people think everything that’s written about him is true. People were believing that he wanted to be a standup comedian and date Reese Witherspoon. People are so gullible and will literally believe anything that’s written on the internet. No critical thinking whatsoever.

Tired of being hit?……was that a reason for his divorce?

Grateful he came here and got the team rolling. Happy he is done taking the hits. At his age, I am disturbed by the prospect of a controlled fall, I dont blame him for wanting to avoid uncontrollable falls with a 300 lb athlete on top of it. It was rough last season, but its water under the bridge.

Did he say Trask is a slow learner, and doesn’t stand a chance to win the Buc QB battle? Did he mention Baker should win the job based solely on moxie? If Brady ever has anything to really say print it Joe. Nice to know he’s following football, duh.

Sure he’s keeping up with the Bucs. It’s my humble opinion that he’s keeping his eye on the team’s best players so when he becomes part-owner of the Raiders he’ll know which ones to target for future hiring. He’s a thorough guy so he’ll probably spend time with all the nfl teams this way. Building up relationships.

There’s no way he would offer up an opinion about the Bucs starting QB competition. He’ll compliment both Baker and Trask. He’s also friendly with Baker, so I doubt he’ll give an opinion either way.

I had a feeling he quit because of the OLine. Maye if they play good in the preseason, he will come back!!

Some of us feel that Brady often got rid of the ball way too soon, especially last year.
June 1st, 2023 at 4:17 pm
Of course, Brady is still following the Bucs. Why wouldn’t he follow them?
June 1st, 2023 at 4:19 pm
Bradsys skills were eroding right in front og our eyes his last season. Over and u8nder thrown balls, inability to scamper, and chronically complaining. We got what we could out of him. And sure, he follows the Bucs..all the way to the bank.

Just imagine: the armchair experts, criticizing Tom Brady for playing football, probably 1 year too long, lol
Tom Brady has records that will “never” be broken.

Really wish he could take over as the GM or owner. Then watch the team probably win consistently every year.

I havn’t looked at Brady’s Wikipedia page in a while.
But, last time I looked, they were running out of page space for all his accomplishments. I don’t think there is another athlete on this planet, with as many.

Brady was just a fluke? Just lucky all these years?
June 1st, 2023 at 5:05 pm
I think Brady let the air out of footballs. Because, we all play better on flat tires.
Everyone knows this.

One can only take so many hits!! The Best to youTB12!!
June 1st, 2023 at 7:46 pm
I will always vote for TB to take over for Goodall. I think he belongs to be in charge of the NFL and nothing less.
June 1st, 2023 at 7:46 pm
Wish he could just be transparent about his time with us. But he can’t for whatever reason. Maybe one day we’ll get a book

man oh man was it good to have tom as a buc for 3 years…
no doubt he was getting gun shy in the pocket last year, but who wouldn’t in their mid 40’s…
his first 2 years as a buccaneer he threw for almost 100 tds and 11,000+ yards (including the playoffs…that’s literally insane)…
he might have been the bucs all time best “late in his career” signing ever…
in fact, he might have been the best “late in his career signing” ever in nfl history…
all hail tommy b for an incredible post-patriot stint with our bucs!
