Tom Brady Gave Bucs Teammate An “Uncomfortable” Massage

Tom Brady is known for being hands-on with teammates, but at least once it didn’t go so well.
As Joe wrote weeks ago when it was shared here that Ko Kieft has a barefoot pregame ritual Tom Brady made fun of, this is the time of year when Joe catches up on podcast listening from all corners of the planet.
That included The Beer Money Podcast co-hosted by a good friend of former Bucs guard Ali Marpet.
Marpet was a guest and took a few light-hearted questions. One was about The Goat himself.
“What’s the most uncomfortable thing that Tom Brady has done in front of you?” Marpet was asked.
After an awkward pause, Marpet gave his answer.
“Neck massage,” Marpet replied. “He was trying to help. To be fair he was trying to help, my neck was messed up, but (pause).”
Joe has a visual of Marpet in pain and Brady insisting Marpet sit down while he grabbed a bottle of avocado oil and got to work.
The anecdote made Joe wonder how often Brady worked on Antonio Brown’s ankle or Rob Gronkowski’s bad back.

Geez, it’s just a neck massage. It’s not like they were naked, playing Barry White music, and all alone in a hot tub. If a friend of mine had severe neck pain and I thought I could help, I would. I’d prefer it if that friend was a hot blond, but if I had to help a dude friend, I would. Maybe. 😂

I think the player who got the massage…Marpet…is insecure and Tom Brady knows who he is and it is secure in that. Tom Brady doesn’t have to question his masculinity and is comfortable giving a teammate a neck massage who then turns around and raises questions since he was uncomfortable. Marpet’s problem, not Brady’s. And this story has no merit to begin with, in my opinion.

I have continued to follow Joe the past three years, yes because Brady was the

Geez you all really think Brady is like that ? Pretty messed up IMO. Same people who would pay money 💲 for Brady’s used jockstrap. If Brady was like that , he would be like that and not give a flying f— . Same guy that was didn’t want Azz sweat from Jensen or any other Center he played with. This is like when you watch old James Bond movies, or pretty much any action movie from the 60s and 70s, and they’re always members of an men’s only club, and they always have a locker room scene where some old guy is giving everyone massages. As a kid it always seemed really gay to me, but as an adult, it’s wayyy more gay. But they’re just some men, touching men, having a good time without those nasty women around, so lather me up Lou, it’s time for my rubdown.

Dude, you are sounding really insecure.
I get a massage every two weeks for years. I like a deep tissue massage to work out the knots because I do a lot of running kayaking and golfing.
I obviously prefer a female and I have two that I always try to schedule but when they aren’t available there’s a guy who is my third choice because the rest of the women cannot give a good deep tissue massage.
There is nothing even remotely close to being gay about it. If it is then almost every football, baseball, hockey, basketball player and MMA fighter, you know must be gay because most of their massages come from men.

We’re talking about therapeutical, injury preventing, deep tissue, sports massages. Every team employees people to do this. Most of them are men. I live down near IMG Academy, there are some great sports massage therapists in the area. In fact, many buccaneer, and lightning players have come down this way for a treatment. Most of them are men, not all, but most. Probably a strength thing because men and women are different after all. LoL.
Everyone else seems to be automatically thinking about some lame Asian massage parlor that rubs lotion on you and then gives you the Robert Kraft/ Deshaun Watson special
