Ryan Jensen Shares Top Tom Brady Memory
February 22nd, 2023Yes, much more than baby powder and towels were involved when it came to the relationship of Pro Bowl Bucs center Ryan Jensen and Tom Brady.
Jensen jumped on SiriusXM NFL Radio and was asked about his top Brady memory from host Alex Marvez. Jensen’s focus was on leadership lessons learned from The Goat.
“That driving force of motivation, and how to do that and motivate people, that’s something that really sticks out with me from Tom,” Jensen told Late Hits. “Especially when I was hurt, he was always motiving me every day trying to get me back and get me healthy, and keep that fire churning.”
As Joe has written many times, Bucs officials repeatedly have said The Brady Effect, one that raises the performance of players, coaches and staff, will last for years beyond Brady’s retirement.
It’s unclear whether that really will happen, but Jensen’s comments are a good case study. Perhaps he’ll be a more impactful leader this with his fellow offensive linemen and the new quarterback behind him.

*** The Brady Effect, one that raises the performance of players, coaches and staff, will last for years beyond Brady’s retirement.*****
As a fan, I’ve been looking for that “Winning Attitude” throughout the entire life of this franchise. Aside from a short period from ’99 to 2003, and then again in ’20 and ’21, it’s not been there.
There are NO residual effects of this! It requires a constant push and desire team wide.

Rather know what he thinks of the Bucs future, and if he wants to be part of it? How about if he has confidence in Gabbert, or Trask moving forward? I for one will be skipping the Tom Brady hit parade stories. Does anyone think he’d call him a total A hole if he was one?

Can someone explain how much money the team could trim off their cap issues if the cut or traded the following:
Donovan Smith
Shaq Barrett
Ryan Succop
Russel Gage
Leonard Fornett

Where was the TB12 effect after he left New England? It was in Tampa and it left with him.

Vacuum Affect will be excruciating

The Brady affect could not stand up to the lousy coaching and the quit in some of the players. The lack of effort by the loafers was disgusting.

I just hope Jensen’s knee is actually healed up well and he’s able to be the same player for a couple more years.

Brady was great for the Bucs in 2020/2021…..but VERY mediocre in 2022….if the “Brady Effect” didn’t work last season, why in the world would it work for future seasons??

Best source is overthecap.com/salary-cap/tampa-bay-buccaneers
* Donnie: ~10 million saved
* Shaq: 0 gained by cutting, and he’s untradeable with that contract
* Succup: ~3 million
* Gage: ~3 million
* Fournette: ~3.5 million
Dumping those guys (not Shaq) only saves 20 million, but it’s a start.
I don’t know how the post June 1 designations work, but maybe Shaq’s dead cap could be split into next season and give us 10-11 million savings this year. Not sure.
We need to trade Devin White to save 11 million.

I don’t think it lasts for years. Williams had that effect on people but when he left it left with him. Sapp had that effect and when he was let go, out the door it went. So I’m not expecting the “Brady Effect” to stick around either. The next wave that comes through will have to be built anew with youthful enthusiasm and hope from exciting leaders. Do we have those guys on the roster now? It does not appear so but there is a vacuum so we will see what fills it.

only way would be through extensions.

Under Blowes, the Brady Effect, like anything else good the Bucs did during his time in pewter, is a memory. All the fans have, all the players who played with him have, are memories.
Reality is a nightmare. Welcome to Suckfest III, the Third Lost Decade, starring Toad Blowes.
Thanks, Toad.

If the organization doesn’t have that mentality and force it from the top down, it will go back to the way it was. It has to be a culture coming from the top for it to continue. If not, it’s already on its way out.

The “Brady Effect” lost some of its magic last season.
Some of it was Brady winding down a bit and taking time off from the team. Yeah, he deserves it, but it was unhelpful.
Some of it was losing our entire interior Online and Donovan Smith falling off the cliff. Some of it was the loss of JPPAnd Suh … and Whitehead.
A heaping steaming pile of it was crappy coaching.
The whole team looked old and ssslllooowww.

I’m pretty sure you could flip Jensen for probably a 3rd rounder to someone. If the Bucs are going to roll with Trask or some other 3rd tier QB, then why not cash out on some of these vets that are just on one-year deals? Also Hainsey showed plenty at center for me to feel comfortable having him start and seeing if he improves.

Seems Bowles was immune to the “Brady Effect.”
Strong mentally does not fit Bowles.
February 22nd, 2023 at 1:31 pm
It only works if the players who experienced the “Brady Effect” pass along the “Brady Effect”.
February 22nd, 2023 at 2:19 pm
Even with Brady & his leadership we went 8-9 in regular season and loss a terrible game to cowgirls..
what happen in NE after Brady left –they haven’t won a playoff game yet …
by the time bowles/licht get done dealing with the cap issues;; less than a third of SB players will still be on our team…
February 22nd, 2023 at 4:22 pm
The Blows effect was stronger in 2022 than the Brady effect. It started in the Rams playoff game. Negative energy always beats out positive energy. It’s easier to go negative, positive takes work.

@joe someone is scamming your articles and creating videos on YouTube using them as a script for AI bots . “buccaneers channel” on YouTube . They weren’t clever enough to remove the third person Joe reference .

RachaadWhite>Fournette:
Thanks for the tip. A fellow reader Twittered Joe a link to one of those videos. It was hilarious hearing someone read all the nicknames Joe uses. LOL!!! 🙂

Geez … that has to be at the bottom of the pile for the lazy lowlife YouTube “creators” who have no class honor or ambition to join the real life work force!
