“When You’re Prepared, You Get Excited.”

The greatest receiver in Buccaneers history was talking the talk this afternoon.
Mike Evans joined The Rich Eisen Show and said Monday against the Cowboys will be very much a routine home game for the Bucs. He told Eisen that Tom Brady always brings the same message to the team, and that is to give the game everything you have.
As for Brady, Evans said The Goat has been everything he expected him to be when he arrived in 2020. He said Brady’s preparation is legendary and the stories he heard before Brady arrived weren’t exaggerated.
It’s that preparation that leads to Evans’ high level of excitement for the playoffs.
“We know what to do,” Evans said. “Like when you’re prepared, you get excited. I don’t really have much nerves. I just get really excited and just appreciative, like for the opportunity just to be out there and see all those fans. Even people rocking my jersey, it’s just an unbelievable feeling that you can’t really explain. Definitely a lot of gratitude and just appreciation, and just excitement.
When Joe heard Evans say, “We know what to do,” Joe though immediately of Brady having an extra day to prepare for the Cowboys. Man, he must have every detail covered. And Joe suspects Brady got a jump on the Cowboys’ gameplan as soon as the Bucs clinched against the Panthers.
Evans said he’s been appreciating various NFL experiences more as he reaches NFL old age. This season’s game in Germany was an incredible one, he said, even if the field conditions were poor.

When you are prepared you know you have already won–that’s where true confidence comes from. Let’s hope Mike Evans is prepared enough to not drop any passes, and hope that Brady is prepared enough to not turn the ball over 4 times in a row again.

At least the Head Coich doesn’t look at game film of the Cowboys. No better way to prepare if you’re a coich.

Evans called the cowboys defense simplistic. I think we take a bunch of deep shots. Just hope the line can hold long enough. Day drinking starts around 11am. Can’t wait. Who knows, Scotty Miller maybe called upon. I know this, they’ll leave it all out there. Been a long season. Redeemer out.

Cowboys should be manageable, especially given that they’ve already played and beaten them. Laying an egg would be borderline inexcusable. The way this season has gone, it’s a strong possibility.

“…..you know under underachieving. You know what we want to do in the regular season you know and obviously everybody’s seen it. You know we went from being one of the best offenses in the league to you know be on bottom tier and you know that just wasn’t our standard this year, but you know with all that being said we’re still able to punch our ticket to the dance.
Man I wish Rich had followed up for some clarity on that statement.

This is what I didn’t understand about all the losers whining about a MNF playoff game: Your players have an extra day of rest and prep. Who cares about next week when it’s a do or die game? These players don’t worry about a shortened week for the next round, cuz they should be laser focused on winning this game instead. You can’t worry about things you can’t control and definitely can’t worry about next week when you haven’t won anything yet.

Mentally strong people don’t worry about the opponent, day of the week, strength of schedule, etc. You go out and handle your biz no matter what.

Well lambchop, I am upset because the NFL is putting cash( shocked face) above competitive balance, I as a fan can worry about it and complain pushing for changing (ha). It is just unfortunate that whatever team comes out of this game is probably going to lose in the next round be it Bucs or Boys. Kinda makes this game like one of those useless bowl games.

At 8-9, with most of the wins coming at the last minute against poor competition, the odds of laying an egg against a 12-5 team are vastly more significant than even one more last-second win.
