NFC South Games Break For The Bucs! Playoffs A Step Closer.

Joe was treated to ugly ass football early this afternoon courtesy of the three NFC South teams not named the Bucs all on the field.
The Bucs and their 6-7 record with a bad offense convert 38 percent of their third-down attempts. That’s not good. But today Joe realized fully why the Panthers only converted 28 percent of their third-downs entering Sunday’s action against Pittsburgh.
Carolina was impotent against the Steelers today in Charlotte as they fell to the Steelers 24-16. Sam Darnold and the miserable Panthers offense was 4-of-11 on third down and couldn’t get much going other than two long passes and a checkdown to Chuba Hubbard that went for 45 yards.
Carolina now sits with a 5-9 record and will face the high-octane Lions next Sunday in what will be Carolina’s final home game of the season.
Also in the NFC South, Atlanta dropped to 5-9 in a 21-18 loss to the slimy Saints, which upped their record to 5-9. However, the Saints would lose a tiebreaker head-to-head with the Bucs after losing to Tampa Bay twice this season.
The Falcons started rookie third-round pick quarterback Desmond Ridder and it showed. He looked uncomfortable in the pocket at times and Falcons playcaller Arthur Smith was rolling him out in the red zone. Ridder had just 95 yards passing while the Falcons owned time of possession and their defense kept it close.
In all, it was a perfect early afternoon in the NFC South for our beloved Bucs. Now they just have to go out and take care of business for a change.

I think this year proves that terrible coaching literally doesn’t give your team a chance.
Even Brady can’t overcome the idiots that are Leftwich and Bowles.

It was rough rooting for The Taints ( who tried to lose multiple times ) and Steelers ( to a lesser extent )…but glorious results. Not sure it matters unless The Bucs awake from their coma.

Can somebody explain how the Bucs are only 3.5 point underdogs? I see this upcoming game at least a 10 point loss. Is the Cincy OL that bad? Is home field advantage that decisive?

Bucs14 – Because the players aren’t the problem. This was, afterall, the preseason favorite to be in the SB for the NFC. Terrible, awful, horrible, stupid, coaching has destroyed the team this year.
That’s why the coaches are being blamed for their terrible job.

Just saw a live shot of Burrow and TB12 warming up. Ray Jay looked empty. Good. I wouldn’t go if if I were given tickets, received a limo ride to the stadium, had free food. This team is not worth my time or energy.

richbucsfan – I disagree, not with the score, sounds about right, but with the ‘garbage’ TD. I think the Bucs actually get an early touchdown, because Arians wrote out what to run and in what order, then when those predetermined plays end, and Leftwich is calling the game, it’s a shutout, with a garbage FG.

I hate pessimism, but I’m a realist. No Vea, Barrett, Nassib, Dean, Edwards and no healthy JTS or Winfield… And an O that can barely get more than 10 points a game. They’re playing for a draft pick.

It’s Pointless for Brady to keep playing in these last 3 games. They don’t deserve the playoffs and even if they make it by default it will be over. Play Traske . Give him the valuable experience. He can’t do any worse then this clown show. Owners need to make a public statement, regarding their egregious decision. Apologize and refund season ticket owners, then promptly remove themselves from any further and future administrative decisions.
