Remember when Derrick Brooks, returning to the sideline following his Super Bowl-clinching touchdown, was unable to keep his composure, crocodile tears streaming down his cheeks before he buried his head in Chucky’s embrace?
Remember John Lynch holding his little boy, exclaiming, “We did it!?”
Remember Chucky deliriously dancing over a fallen opponent along the sideline with his arms held high in victory?
Remember Warren Sapp dancing like a man who lost his mind?
Remember Chucky, soaked with Gatorade, hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy aloft in victory?
Relive those moments tonight at 9 p.m. when the NFL Network will rerun “America’s Game: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.”
For those who have not seen the America’s Game episodes, it’s a series of documentaries produced by NFL Films which devotes an hour to each Super Bowl-winning team. It’s one of the best things Steve Sabol has done and given his body of work, that’s saying something.
The documentary begins with Sapp and Brooks being drafted, right through to Father Dungy being hired and fired (both Lynch and Sapp explain it was time for Father Dungy to go), the hiring of Chucky and each game through the 2002 season, ending with Chucky rocking to Jon Bon Jovi in the postgame celebration.
There’s even a Rob Johnson sighting.
For those innocents subjected to the callous, vile Out House Networks syndicate, there’s still plenty of time to run to an electronics store and buy DirecTV, hook it up, watch America’s Game and liberate yourself by joining a free and just world.

Remember when Rah chest-bumped a player after a TD when the team was down late in the game?
Remember when Mark Dominik announced incorrectly that he could fine a player not under contract?

Remember draftng 2 identical players at the identical position in the with the first 2 picks of the draft?
Remember when we had a H.C. that we could understand?
Remember when there was hope for the playoffs?

This was fantastic series. The 02 Buc’s was pretty good but some of the shows were really excellent.
The 69 Jets, the 82 Redskins (the strike shortened year) and several others were awesome.
Also the “missing rings” episodes in this series about the great teams that got no cigar were excellent and in some ways even better than the champion shows.

Yeah, it’s a great series. Joe’s personal favorite, aside from the Bucs of course, was the 1977 Raiders. Madden, Sabler and Villapiano were great!
As you stated the 1982 Redskins was a good one too.

MLB Network and MLB Extra Innings are on Brighthouse, so I don’t know who you’re trying to make jealous with that part of your comment.
When I had DirecTV installed at my house, it took two visits from illegal aliens to finally install it correctly (which it never did get installed correctly) and they left cable snippings and trash all over my kid’s room. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with the customer service manager who was a complete asshole, who did nothing to help. Then I decided, what the hell, and wrote a complaint e-mail. The e-mail was responded to within a day and they finally comped some of their fees.
Yes, I would love NFL Network Joe, but DirecTV is run by a bunch of scumbags.
Oh, and have fun watching your signal interfered with during storms…
Sorry Joe, love your site, but I Hate DirecTV and the fact that super rich assholes from the NFL and Time Warner can’t decide how to split up the their pillaging of customers as well….

Joe has had DirecTV for some 16 years and just loves it. Joe hears people complain about lost signals during rainstorms and doesn’t get it. That rarely happens to Joe in all seriousness. Only guess is whoever is installing it is doing it wrong (never put it on a roof for example). Joe’s old man has DirecTV as well and rarely has problems.
Joe can’t remember the name of the storm but a tropical storm went through the area just two days after 9/11. It was so bad Joe couldn’t drive to work but he never lost a signal.
The off chance of losing a signal once or twice a month for roughly seven minutes sure as hell beats never having the NFL Network. Does the Out House Networks syndicate still have analog channels from 1-99 on its “digital cable” package? LOL
No way Joe is going to help subsidize a yenta channel that believes a new city park in Brandon is somehow news and regurgitates that 12 times a day.
