“It Just Felt Effortless”
November 13th, 2022One seasoned Bucs player is not prone to hyperbole. He won’t tell you what you want to hear, and he’s surely not into fan hype.
That’s Julio Jones.
For example, Julio’s last Tweet was over a year ago. The legendary receiver is all business and is a thoughtful, soft-spoken guy. So it really struck Joe after today’s game to hear Julio talk about the diversity within the Bucs offense and how that’s a huge strength.
“It just felt effortless,” Julio said after detailing many things the offense did well today.
The Bucs dominated time of possession, roughly 37 minutes to 23 for Seattle, and it was a true balanced attack through the air and on the ground. Cade Otton, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, Scotty Miller and Julio all had receptions over 19 yards, including Jones’ 31-yard TD grab. It’s rare to connect big shots to five different players.
Joe liked the “effortless” adjective. The offense was different today — as in a throwback to 2020 and 2021.
Heck, there was even a throwback to 2019 when the Bucs scored plenty but had bad interceptions.
Seattle isn’t the class of the NFL, but they’re a solid club. Joe believes the Bucs showed today that they might have enough talent in the cupboard to approach the 30 points per game average of the past two seasons.

Wonder how many shots/puffs of med pot Julio had on the sideline? Still, he delivered. He still needs to retire after this season. He has been a great receiver with the Falcons, and needs to go out that way.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:30 pm
He read all the comments on the last article about him 😂😂 y’all fired Julio up
November 13th, 2022 at 3:34 pm
Speaking of Scotty Miller in this story, why is he jumping to catch the ball again when there is no need to? He almost dropped that one today, and did drop the one last week.
I specifically remember a story on this site about Arians in his first year telling Miller not to do that. You would think that nobody would need to tell him that, but apparently he needs to be told at least twice.
November 13th, 2022 at 3:39 pm
Why can’t Miller catch the ball effortlessly???
November 13th, 2022 at 3:42 pm
It was the first game where we had the Big 3 receivers for the whole game without any of them getting hurt. No team has 3 top DV’s who can cover 3 number 1 WR’s. It’s a tall order for any team and then throw in Rachaad White and Cade Otton and it’s a great offense. We outclassed Seattle today
November 13th, 2022 at 3:50 pm
Strait up.
Julio Jones looked like one of the Fastest and Strongest players at his position in the entire NFL today.
If we can get this Julio for a majority if not all of the rest of this season, that’s an upgrade to Antonio Brown in his prime, in my opinion.
Julio is so stout/strong, and so fast when he’s healthy.
LFG on a Superbowl run, starting right now…
November 13th, 2022 at 3:52 pm
Scotty lost confidence in his hands! He’s afraid of dropping a pass from the Greatest QB that has ever walked the earth!
November 13th, 2022 at 3:54 pm
Agreed Buccos. Aside from Lenny’s hip (appears to be minor), no major new injuries coming out of today’s win. Another 2 weeks now to have Evans, Godwin, and Gage get closer to 100%. Would love some new intel on Jensen, if there is any. How HUGE would it be if he was able to come back soon?!!
November 13th, 2022 at 4:03 pm
Saints lose again…
November 13th, 2022 at 4:04 pm
Interesting since the games following the Atlanta game were also effortless, as in no effort. Glad TB12 called them all out, including the coiches.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:10 pm
I just hope he can stay healthy, he really does help the offense.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:11 pm
LOL! The Vikings!
November 13th, 2022 at 4:17 pm
I thought I heard Michael Irvin say that when a guy jumps like that to catch the ball, when he doesn’t have to, it shows he is lacking confidence in his ability to catch the ball. Sounds about right.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:17 pm
LOL! The Bills!
November 13th, 2022 at 4:22 pm
Oh yes. Arians used to unload on him for jumping for every catch as a rookie. Now he’s back to that. Why? The same assistants heard Arians take a bite out of Scotty’s ass (more than once) for doing that.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:22 pm
Who was the dope today in the game thread who said they never saw a victory formation go bad. LOL! Great timing, dumba–.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:22 pm
This offense is far better with Julio on the field…..
November 13th, 2022 at 4:24 pm
Of course the refs save the Bills.
I don’t care about either of these teams, but that clearly wasn’t a catch at the end, and the booth didn’t call in for it to be reviewed. Pitiful.

Head coaching matters, would be my guess.
However, after having the ball bounce off his face for an easy TD last week, I’m just glad he caught the ball at all.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:40 pm
still….sad times that they score 21 and are celebrating like they are a well oiled machine.
Seattle could have easily won the game because the Bucs never put it away on offense until the very end.
November 13th, 2022 at 4:46 pm
Glad we won five but still pissed we lost five
November 13th, 2022 at 4:50 pm
Buffalo, LOL!
Glad they lost, it should have never went to OT.
November 13th, 2022 at 5:02 pm
AB……….Antonio Brown, that you?
November 13th, 2022 at 5:13 pm
That Buffalo game was crazy. Vikings got lucky and didn’t lose. So….. what’s Cousin’s encore this week on the plane??? Birthday suit and ice….. dancing up and down isle….. doing the helicopter?!?! 🤣
November 13th, 2022 at 5:16 pm
SB RUN. LFG!!!!
November 13th, 2022 at 5:21 pm
Julio when healthy is a force. One of the best WRs on the team for sure. The worst WR on the BUCS by far however is Tom Brady. 😂
November 13th, 2022 at 6:23 pm
The viqueens Jefferson is an all star receiver.
November 13th, 2022 at 6:41 pm
As good as they looked, there were still some mistakes, execution issues, a bad penalty, and a few bad play calls. Plenty of room for improvement. They could have and should have easily put up over 30.
On top of that, as great as the run game was, they ran it about five times too many. BL tries to force it too much
November 13th, 2022 at 6:50 pm
White and Otton really coming on. Good to see JTS contribute.
45 had a helluva day,
November 13th, 2022 at 7:27 pm
2 biggest things that stood out to me today.
Julio looked fast on that 31 yrd TD.
The acceleration after the catch def caught my attention. That’s a good sign of getting healthy. Now add 2 weeks of rest and treatment before they suit up again.
Rashad with that vicious straight arm on the big run was against the safety not the CB. That was sick. He knocked him back 4 or 5 yrds. Huge game for him.
November 13th, 2022 at 7:42 pm
Agree, BucU. Julio looked like he had world-class speed on that TD, and his burst was impressive.
R. White throwing Diggs outta the club? Best play of the season to date, 2nd is now the Lenny chip on Parsons. Both were awesome to watch.
November 13th, 2022 at 8:01 pm
Bucs now officially look dangerous…Sucks we are on a bye man they are finally getting started…Look out nfl,and congrats Mr Bowels ,you get us playing darn good.Electric win today
November 13th, 2022 at 8:04 pm
Antonio Brown is still crying cause we winning and he LOSING!
November 13th, 2022 at 8:30 pm
@ Munch. Bucs and Vikes fan here. Yes, the refs stiffed the Vikes on several calls. That sideline “catch” was clearly incomplete. The Bills also got away with multiple obvious defensive holding calls. At least the Vikes pulled it out and the Bucs won too.
November 13th, 2022 at 8:56 pm
I hope that “effortless” quote by Julio wasn’t a dig at Tom and others saying they weren’t playing with enough effort. Geeze. This was a game I finally saw lots of effort and it made me very happy to watch. Miller has to stop jumping and Darden needs to get a LOT better but other than that I watched some great football. The trick play Brady slipped in was still entertaining, unlike usual busted plays. I am still waiting for a fake punt from Camarda. I understand he is really fast.
November 13th, 2022 at 10:29 pm
We could’ve hit 28 if they hadn’t told White to slide down if he got the first down. He would’ve had about 15 more yards and a score on the day
November 14th, 2022 at 12:37 am
The Bucs could have put up thirty today. You look at the crazy stupid wildcat throwback to Brady? The Bucs were moving and sure looked like they were going to score on the that drive. Also, when Brady threw the pick right to the Seahawks linebacker we looked like we were clicking on that drive as well. Camarda is punting the air out of the ball too. Let’s not forget how he changed field position on two punts giving Seattle a long field.
November 14th, 2022 at 12:34 pm
Really embarrassing to see the same dumb trick play run 4 plays later shift of momentum was real and unnecessary when the bucs were driving down the field already really shows how incompetent leftwich is, no feel for the game at all and looks utterly incompetent without Bruce.
November 15th, 2022 at 7:53 pm
Stop tricking the offense with trick plays.
Scrap wide receiver screen it’s a waste.
They need to take the bouncy balls out of Millers shoes.

Agree
Thats about the only thing Ervin got right the whole game!
The broadcast team was a joke!
