  1. ClwJB Says:

ZERO confidence and anyone that votes different – de Nile isn’t just a river in Africa

  2. Listnfrmafar Says:

All you have to do is watch replays of the last few games to see he has lost the locker room and he is back to his losing ways. Agree, denial if you see otherwise.

  3. ocala Says:

Good to see the Bowles family reads Joebucsfan with 4 votes for “Totally Confident”

  4. Pewter Warrior 813 Says:

Think Bowles peaked in the first two games, sadly.

The lack of in game adjustments, inspires nothing from me as a fan, I am ALMOST to the point where I don’t even get excited to watch this team anymore.

  5. robert Says:

    exactry pewter……

should make a poll if the buc fans still even have an interest in watching, as no one has confidence in this coaching staff or the players being motivated.

  6. HC Grover Says:

I had high expectations of a Super Bowl run. Now I have no expectations of even a division win. I don’t even know if this is a calamity, a disaster, or a fiasco.

  7. Pewter Warrior 813 Says:

I’ll always watch my Bucs, the excitement level is just dipping as I don’t believe in these coaches to right the ship.

  8. D-Rome Says:

I’m very confident. Coaching isn’t the problem here. Guys who loaf for one coach (45) will loaf for another. Head coaches have little to no control over injuries and the Bucs are a very injured team. There are guys who started against the Ravens who are backups. Nuñez-Roches is a backup level player in the NFL. There’s no shame in that but no one is confusing him for Ndamukong Suh.

Most people see Brady, Evans, Godwin, Fournette, David, White, Vea, and Davis out there and think we have a similar team that we’ve had the past two years. It just isn’t the case.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

BA, the invisible man, YOU did this!!!!

  10. WillieG Says:

I think the Bucs and Bowles need to invent a health issue that makes it impossible for Bowles to be head coach and demote him back the the “easier” job of defensive coordinator. Then bring back BA.

  11. WillieG Says:

Everyone talks about doing what’s best for the team until it’s actually time to do what’s best for the team.

  12. MadMax Says:

    Just like last week….none.

  13. Listnfrmafar Says:

D-Rome, the teams attitude and fire starts at the top. Without BA’s guidance, Bowles has nothing but a losing history. EVERY team has injuries some worse than the Bucs. If Nunez isn’t capable of playing as a starter Bowels shouldn’t start him. The sports world have pointed out BL’s incompetence yet it falls on Bowles death ears. C’mon, White makes a statement about getting bored during 4th quarters with NO discipline action. It only takes a few key players to check out and the season is over, they clearly do NOT have faith in Bowles and it’s apparent in their play. Enjoy your high first round draft pick but if history repeats itself with this organization it won’t change a thing.

  14. Ultra ClodHopper Says:

No confidence. A boring coach has a bored team

  15. Pewter Warrior 813 Says:

If you are a fan and don’t think coaching is a problem then you don’t know this game.

  16. Deeez NATZ Says:

Looks like 3 or 4 of the bucs loafer players vote here on Joe Bucs fan lol

  17. CChead Says:

BA handing this team off to Bowles is a disgrace. And the Bucs ownership reward him with a spot in the ring of honor. If the Glazers don’t make a change, myself and many other season ticket holders will not renew. Lets see what this organization does.

  18. TAMPA BAY DEMON™ Says:

I mentioned this on an unrelated thread, but it bares repeating.

On TODD BOWLES weekly radio show, he ACTUALLY said the following…

“Vita Vea came into this season in his best shape ever.”
    AND
“Devin White played a very good game (vs. Balt) overall.”

  19. Captain Oblivious Says:

I made a comment on this site, before the 2022 season started, how confounding it was that Bowles got a promotion after his disgraceful performance as DC in the Rams playoff game last season. I’ve also been complaining about Leftwich as the OC since the mid-2020 season, at least before Brady took over the offense.

  20. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

The pirate ship is taking on water quickly, in danger of sinking, but it is multiple factors and multiple individuals responsible for the situation as it is.

This offense was great back in 2020 and 2022 but our o-line was a BIG part of that. Neither the head coach nor the GM could know that Marpet would suddenly retire or that Jenson would have a major injury. Both of them were a big part of the puzzle and not easily replaced. There are not many teams willing to depart with starters of that quality because they know they can’t easily find a replacement.

Many are ready to hang Bowles but it is Jason Licht, not Bowles, who is responsible to bring in quality depth players when starters go down. And Licht is constrained by the salary cap to a great degree from fixing the issues the Bucs have been having.

I sense that there are some leadership issues on the team, especially on the defense after the departure of JPP and Suh. And while that can be a serious issue, we can’t hold Bowles fully responsible for their departure.

Bowles is the head coach and ultimately IS responsible for the success (or lack of it) of the team. But many of the factors that are contributing to the current situation are out of his control. Even the greatest coaches ever can have bad seasons when they lose great players. Belichick’s team went 7 – 9 back in 2020 when he lost Brady, and now, two years later, they’re 4 – 4. I know that all Bucs fans are severely disappointed but it is a bit premature to schedule the hanging of Todd Bowles. He has to be given a fair chance, something he clearly hasn’t had yet.

  21. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Vita Vea and nearly our entire team are in quite poor football shape.
That was evident in the Ravens game.
In the first quarter, we were pushing them around, but as the game went on, our guys started to tire out.
The game on Sunday is basically for our season.
If we win, we can still turn things around, and save our season.
I think we will win because the Rams have become quite beatable, plus we have had 10 days to prepare for them.
That being said, I voted little faith in Todd Bowles.
I never felt either him or Leftwitch were head coach material.

  22. D-Rok Says:

    Joe,

Are these polls simply for us fans to see how other fans feel about Bowles? Or is this info being used in any other capacity?

Are fans the only ones to see this info? Just curious how the data is being used.

Probably not the best choice of words.

Z31 Says: “Probably not the best choice of words.”

    ———————————

It was just a metaphoric expression, but I do see what you mean.

Keeping within the pirate theme I could have changed it to:
“Many are ready to force Bowles to walk the plank.”

  25. T REX Says:

    3-5

    You should have zero confidence

  26. Z31 Says:

    BucsFanSince1996,

Haha very well said man. Well done.

  27. EEK Says:

    dead man walking
lose and he’s probably done at 3-6

  28. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

    @ T REX,

We should have zero confidence in Bowles because the team is 3 – 5 ?

Bowles is currently one of 13 NFL head coaches whose teams are 3 – 5 or worse. Should we fire all 13 of them? There are some great coaches in that mix. Mike Tomlin with the Steelers is 2 – 6.

The Bucs have some serious issues presently but I doubt there is any head coach anywhere that can come in now and make this team a legitimate Super Bowl contender this season. And if they did get to the Super Bowl they’d be blown out by halftime by either Buffalo or Philly.

  29. Marine Buc Says:

Zero confidence in this coaching staff… What are they going to be able to do to truly change the current trajectory of this team?

    Answer – absolutely nothing…

Too many old and ineffective players (thanks Jason Licht). Too many holes in this roster. A coaching staff in over it’s head (BL) and a head coach that has lost the team (low moral and zero energy)…

Take the Rams +3. Easy Money.

  30. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

    Thank-you @Z31!

  31. Dooley Says:

There should be a “ask me at halftime of the next game” option in this poll

Actually, walking the plank is very offensive.
How do you think they got slaves on ships before there were cranes?

They had to walk up a plank.

Shame on you and your raye cyst ways.

    Vote Democrat.

  35. Letsbucinggo Says:

If a player is loafing and is not showing any drive he should be benched. I don’t believe Bill Parcells or Belichick would hesitate. Of course we are talking Bowles here so what do you expect.

  36. Letsbucinggo Says:

How can go from superbowl winner one year the next year you lose only to the eventual superbowl winner then this year well two words Todd Bowles.

    ———————-

“Walk the plank” is an idiom, and it’s inapplicable for the context in which you used it.

If you’re still offended once you clear up the actual meaning then send a message to the Complaint Department.

  38. captivajim Says:

I think he has lost any respect he ever had from the players ..He’s simply Not HC material. I have zero confidence in Bowles.

  39. Marine Buc Says:

    @ Dooosh/BFSince 96

As someone who identifies as a pirate – I too was offended by the use of the term “walk the plank”.

It is an offense and bigoted term that has caused violence against my people.

Please stop using all derogatory pirate language and pirate hate speech…

    Thank you.

  40. Tye Says:

The JETS have NO regrets running Bowles out the building and neither will the Bucs!
Might be one of the most celebrated firings actually…

  41. Listnfrmafar Says:

Ya you will Tye, Bucs wasted Brady’s last season.

  42. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Marine Buc,

I am so sorry for all the pain you’ve had to endure.
You are very brave to have said something about it.
    😉

  43. cmurda Says:

88% little or no confidence yet he still walks the sidelines ensuring failure in Tom’s last year. Awesome Glazers/Licht. Thanks

    For nothing

  44. cmurda Says:

Haha Doosh. It’s sad that you have to bypass censors for a word that just shouldn’t be censored but..

Hang in there Marine. Let your voice be heard. For all of us pirates, you are an inspiration. We refuse to be discriminated upon. Just remember out motivating catch phrase. “Get that booty”.

  45. Davenport Says:

Nothing changes if we don’t stop buying tickets, concessions & merch.

If Bowles is HC next year, i’m out. I paid through Raheen, Schiano, Koetter, Lovie and there is no way i pay the Glazers to show me how little they care!

  46. MadMax Says:

Fire them out of the cannons into the land of unicorns and rainbows….there I fixed it! And if that offends you, go find a unicorn to pet at the end of a rainbow and cry about it!

Check out the big brain on 96.
    😀

  48. Marine Buc Says:

    @ Dooosh/cmurda

    LOL!!!

Oh my. The world we are currently living in is…..

Interesting? I guess… Is that the proper euphemism BFSince96?

    Go Bucs!

  49. Gman Says:

Nobody should have had confidence in him. He was hand picked by BA for various reasons. Not going well apparently…shocker.

  50. Mike Johnson Says:

Confidence or not. Nobody can work magic with this group. You got no Bonafide pass rushers. And you got an O line that is shallow. Thats not coaching. Thats personnel. Calling Dr Licht.

  51. Listnfrmafar Says:

Marine, I hope your ancestor pirates didn’t sail the seas when Columbus did. Oh wait sorry, that never happened, no such man.

  52. MadMax Says:

Shot out the cannon? Is that ok? Lol, these stupid word games.

  53. MadMax Says:

Toughen up nancy boys….get over it or go play with unicorns and rainbows!

  54. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

Hi @Marine Buc, my apologies to you. I was certainly unaware that the phrase “walk the plank” was offensive to your people. History wasn’t my strong subject.
My bad! I will do volunteer work at the next Gasparilla Parade to make up for my transgression.

  55. T REX Says:

@BFS96 No…bowels sucked as a head coach in NY. He sucks with Tom Brady at Qb. He is trash. He is the Ambien Head Coach. WORTH-LESS as a HC

He’s a decent Dc but he’s not HC material.

  56. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

@ T REX, you’re certainly entitled to have an opinion, but no GM is going to evaluate whether or not someone is a good HC or not after 8 games.

In 1996 when Tony Dungy began his stint as HC he started out 1 – 7 in his first 8 games, but things turned out pretty good in the long run, didn’t they?

There are many factors beyond the control of a head coach. They cannot prevent all injuries, stop players from retiring, or stop players from getting divorced in the middle of a season.

The defending Super Bowl champions, the Rams are coming here Sunday for a game with their current record of 3 – 4. Do you believe Sean McVay is a bad coach as well causing the team to be bad? Or is that bad record caused by other factors?

  57. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

No confidence…but I never really had any anyway.

Not exactly any great options available next year either. Arians won’t want any part of this.

  58. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“In 1996 when Tony Dungy began his stint as HC he started out 1 – 7 in his first 8 games, but things turned out pretty good in the long run, didn’t they?”

Biiiig difference. Dungy came in to a team with a horrible culture.

Bowels inherited a team that had a winning culture…and in half a season has destroyed it.

  59. LongTime BucsFan Says:

@ Buccaneer Bonzai,. the 2020 and 2021 teams had a winning culture but those are not the teams that Bowles came into as HC. This is 2022.

We’re missing JPP, Suh, Gronk, Jensen (so far), Marpet, and others who had a big impact on the culture. Plus Brady, who had the MOST impact on creating a winning culture has been severely distracted by off the field issues. The Brady of 2020 wouldn’t have taken an 11 day “vacation” in the middle of training camp.

Bowles didn’t inherit the 2021 team; he inherited the 2022 team, and they are two different teams. Sure, he will ultimately be judged on his ability to turn things around and will eventually be shown the door if he cannot. But it is inaccurate in my opinion to say that HE destroyed a winning culture.

  60. BucsFanSince 1996 Says:

^^^^^^^That last post was from me. My name got changed when sending it from a different device.

  61. LastDance Says:

Im gonna keep posting this on all the threads… until the Brain Fart twins leave town. Or the Brain Shart twins I should say.

Fill in the blank: Tom Brady’s biggest problem this season is _______.

Jenna Laine, Buccaneers reporter: Interior protection. The Bucs’ interior pass-blockers have produced a pass block win rate of 87.9% through eight games, second worst in the NFL. The interior line is also responsible for 34 Brady incompletions, the most in the NFL for any quarterback.

    Pure unadulterated SHIZZA

  62. LastDance Says:

    BucsFanSince1996…
Hey youngester… cherry picking comparisons is beneath you and the rest of us. Dungy didn’t have this group of Super Bowl contenders on his roster. He coached them up. NOT DOWN like these Brain Sharts are doing
