Tom Brady Addresses His Personal Life

Tom Brady joked about handing out avocados and almonds on his Let’s Go! show on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio tonight, but he also was asked about his challenging personal life.
Brady announced his divorce on Friday and co-host Jim Gray gave him a softball opening to talk about how he’s dealt with challenges this year as a working football player and a family man.
“There’s a lot of professionals in life that go through things that they deal with at work and they deal with at home,” Brady said. “And obviously the good news is it’s a very amicable situation and I’m really focused on two things: taking care of my family and certainly my children, secondly doing the best job I can to win football games. So, that’s what professionals do. You focus at work when it’s time to work and then when you come home you focus on the priorities that are at home. All you can do is the best you’ll can do. That’s what I’ll continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m being a dad.”
Brady went on to say the same thing in different ways and he talked about how great his parents are.
The overall message from Brady was rather simple: I’m all-in on football and I’m trying to be the best dad I can be.

To say he’s all in is false and I wouldn’t expect him to be all in. There’s no way anyone can be all in when going through that terrible thing we call divorce. It’s one of the worst things anyone can go through. Brady’s weapon is his mind and his mind has been preoccupied by many many things other then football.

Breaking news: he’s a human being. The creepy Jim Gray interview is prerecorded. Brady gets the questions in advance. It’s all fluff. As to his commitment level,. I wish several bucs were as committed as the goat. Have any of you witnessed Brady loafing it? I haven’t. A guy can go through a divorce and still be focused. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. They’ve had marriage troubles for years now. It’s all documented. I would think it’s more of a relief for him than anything. Instead of arguing every night, he can focus on being a dad, and playing football.

Have some patience with this guy as he is really going through it right now he deserves it. I mean he and the rest of the team did give us a SB a couple years ago. Relax, it will all work itself out.

I got to tell you there are some real classless aholes on this site. Say what you want about how he plays, that’s your opinion but to poke fun of the guys personal family problems is just low. He took this shat hole team out of the bowels of the league and made it relevant again not to mention the SB and revenue to the city. He doesn’t take He gives, apparently not enough for some. Brady is a class act. The bucs are lucky to have him. I just the othe guys on the team like Evans would speak up more and be more appreciative of what he’s trying to do for them. The team needs more fire in the belly.

His personal life is of little interest, as long as it doesn’t badly affect his football life. But his football life is in the ending stages. Unfortunately this team did not, and will not, go out of its way to make this possible last season for TB12 a winner.

I feel for him, I truly believe he really loves her. That being the case I really believe it is affecting him. Although he is one of few on the team that still looks like they play for an NFL team and care.
Here is one issue though. This team brings in broken old players to fill roles and they obviously get hurt. Then others have to compensate for the lack of help and they get hurt. All while other teams make insane moves for next to no draft capital.
On top of that Bowles is soft and imo Leftwich doesn’t run a very impressive selection of plays when he does have the talent nor does he inspire much.
It hurts watching other teams with half our talent on Off light it up all over the field and we keep coming out with the same old drudge week in and week out.

IDK. I have been thru 2 divorces and they were both fine. It was like, “I want the big screen TV”, and then..”OK, but if you get that I get the king-size bed”. ETC Then to the courthouse to file papers both being glad to be rid of each other. Granted, kids were not involved but neither were any lawyers and neither of us had to take time to get over anything.

Tom is a truly remarkable man. I hope not, but I suspect there’s a possibility we won’t see Tom play or be able to root for him after this season. So I’ll treasure each day I can watch him play. He gave us everything he had.

Rod Munch, go back and read Redeemer’s post again, it is apparent you have a severe reading comprehension issue. I never got divorced but we were separated for a few months. I lost 35lbs because of it so I can understand how he’s lost the weight. Cricket, you’re a lucky man, I’ve witnessed a friend and sisters divorce and they were nasty, the only winners were the lawyers and the biggest losers were the kids.

Listn..it’s not lucky to think you found someone to spend your life with and then find out 10 years was enough (or maybe too much). But if you don’t have kids it sure doesn’t seem like a bad thing. Living in one of those countries where you can’t get divorced must be a deeper Hell. I believe when Tom unretired it was mostly because his marriage had failed already, and he went back to his first love. I also believe he won’t really be “looking” any time soon. BTW, I am a woman.
