  1. DoooshLaRue Says:

I’ve voted confident until this week.
Little confidence, but please prove me wrong Todd.

  2. SB~LV Says:

    Not enough data
    But not looking good

  3. D Says:

Please don’t forget to post a Leftwich confidence poll. I think we all know how the results of that one will turn out!

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’ve turned on Bowles……there is no excuse for our poor play other than coaching……
He can turn it around….but needs to soon.

I’ll be back if he can manage 6-3

  5. WillieG Says:

How about a Leftwich confidence poll?

    Confident
    Uncertain
    Not confident
    Dismayed
    Feeling hopeless
    Driving to the Skyway

  6. MadMax Says:

    Lovie smith 2.0

  7. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I voted little confidence because if we lose tomorrow I am not sure Todd will be able to keep the team together.

  8. SB~LV Says:

There is the science of coaching ( knowing all the answers to every situation)
and the art of coaching which is dealing with different personalities and getting the most out of them

  9. PassingThru Says:

I was once gifted one of those bestseller management books. It contained the usual pablum, but one quote really did stand out. It went something like this:

“Ask the retiring CEO who he’d recommend to replace him, and strike that name immediately off your list of candidates. The reason is that the outgoing CEO will want to preserve his legacy and will select a candidate who he knows won’t outshine him.”

  10. Jeff Says:

Wow! Falling fast and hard. He was a complete failure with the Jets. Why expect anything difference with the Yucs?

  11. Listnfrmafar Says:

Chris@ if they lose tomorrow then how could you have any confidence? I voted little just to be fair and see if Bowles gets it and turns it around. I don’t see BL learning how to adjust and call plays around situations in the near future though, that’s a problem.

  12. SB~LV Says:

    Turn around?
They were one play away last year

  13. Onetrickpony Says:

Since BA “left” it’s like kids act without their parents looking over their shoulder, and them goofing off, with no drive.
If they can’t beat the Panthers than it’s more serious than I think.

  14. Red Skeleton Says:

    I voted confident…for now.
This is the situation where we will see if he is a true leader. We have been outplayed and out coached in almost every game so far. We will now see if he steps up as a leader or we will be…”very disappointed “

  15. Robert Says:

Based on their record and ability I would say low confidence, but when you combine the words coming out of his mouth….I have zero confidence.

  16. SufferingSince76 Says:

    WillieG, you’re on a roll. 😆

  17. D-Rok Says:

I voted confident because I’m still somewhat optimistic this coach, and this team, can find their identity and persona.

If they don’t play competitively tomorrow, that confidence (optimism) will wane quickly.

Please Bucs, help us to believe in you once again!!!

  18. Dreambig Says:

No confidence at all. It has to be earned. You are what your record says you are. Having said that, I think we will spank the panthers. We lost big, the players are embarrased, Brady is embarrased, the players will bring it this week. In the end it won’t matter, with Bowles and Leftwitch leading us, the wheels will fall off the bus before the end of the year. I love the Bucs and I really hope I am wrong but there is nothing in Bowls history that indicates he has what it takes to be a head coach. He decision making is always not quite where it should be, just like last years playoffs, when he should have been all in trying to get us to a super bowl, he off on a personal errand shopping for a new job.

  19. Roc Says:

I would like to know what 10% if the reads see that they vote very or total

Probably also the same people saying Biden is doing a great job and the economy is good

    😂

  20. Listnfrmafar Says:

SB-LV, one play that Bowles botched. Now that you brought that up I change my vote to NO confidence. Thanks for enlightening me.

  21. Tye Says:

Arians running the show and the Bucs offense is among the top in the league for 2 years…

He steps down and even with a top talent roster, these coaches struggle to get this team to score in games…

    NO CONFIDENCE!

  22. Yucs2Bucs Says:

I’m a Bucs through and through, but I think last weeks poll was even better that the Bucs would win against the Steelers ( who have no one ? ) I hate to say this, but Carolina’s defense will dominate the O Line and get the Dub. Then hopefully the owners grow a pair and make changes ASAP

  23. Bucobill99 Says:

Jeff youre grounded little boi me and your mom are tired of u stealing are tablet little teenage troll

  24. Pewter Power Says:

Uh oh Todd you’re only 6 games in and the fanbase doesn’t like you or the results. Didn’t look like this last year, your are the major change

  25. Marc Coppola Says:

It’s hard to have a little confidence in this team. Even if we blow the Panthers out this week, that doesn’t tell us much. They are an injured 1-win team that fired its HC and is unloading all of its star talent. Sorry, but beating a team that is in full on tank mode doesn’t mean squat. YOU DONT GET EXTRA CREDIT FOR DOING SOMETHING YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD DO IN THE 1ST PLACE.

We will have to follow a win this week up with a win on TNF for me to have any increase in adjusted confidence whatsoever. And for me to really have any hope AT ALL about our post season aspirations, we will have to will the rest of our games up until we take on the 49ers. Absolutely no reason we should lose to the Saints or Browns coming off of an extended BYE week.

Lastly, if we can somehow turn things around and then muster up enough EFFORT to beat the 49ers, I will be all in as a SB believer.

Lot of work to do before that happens, Lefty. Time to put up and shut up.

  26. Captain Oblivious Says:

I have had little to no confidence in Bowles, Leftwich, or even BA since 2020 when I became a Bucs fan (yes, followed Brady). Wish I could find my archived comments from mid-2020 in which I had the exact same concerns that we are seeing now. The only hope for the Bucs in 2022 is if Brady takes over the offense like he did after the bye week in 2020.

  27. Armybucfan Says:

Can’t be confident in a coach who transformed one of the best offenses into the laughing stock of the league. Then turned our stifling defensive line into powder puff players outside of vita Vea

  28. D-Rok Says:

I’m not sensing much optimism in our fanbase based on this poll and the comments. Not that I blame anybody for how they feel. SIGH. I must be in the minority.

I will be optimistic for 2-3 more weeks, but this team NEEDS to start playing better from top to bottom.

At this point all we do is hope and pray!!

GO BUCS!!! We can do it! Maybe.

  29. Uncle Urk Says:

It’s not Bowles or Leftovers. Lol. I rewatched. It’s the left side of the OL. Can’t run right because the c and lg are beat to the cutoff block. Can’t run up the gut or to the left because they are beat man to man. Can’t throw cause the pressure is immediate. What can Tob or leftovers do? Swap out the players I guess. Then say, I guess, it is their fault and that kills our confidence in them… guess I talked my way through it… lol. Okay yes they suck.

  30. Aceofaerospace Says:

This reminds me of the days when Dungy refused to fire an unqualified (at the time) Mike Shula and then Clyde Christianson. How many Super Bowls did we leave on the table back then. Seems like we’re doing it again.

  31. Pewter Power Says:

We all agree the left side of the line doesn’t look good and leftwich won’t run it to the right side, everyone except the coaches agree I guess.

  32. BucU Says:

Just awful coaching by this entire Bowles staff. This team has no identity. They have no fire. They get “bored” on occasion. There’s been ZERO improvement by this Leftwich offense. And to see him leaving Geodke one on one AND running to that side constantly for no gain or a loss is inexcusable.
He can not adapt to the personnel we have now. And On defense how about those four critical 3rd and looong for first downs every time. It’s shockingly bad football. Undisciplined to the max!
This team has a collective coaching problem that’s going to cripple our chances of another SB.

  33. Defense Rules Says:

Uncle Urk … Interesting thought process (scary but interesting). Personally I thought you had it nailed until you decided to keep going & talked yourself out of it.

At the NFL level, it would seem that there are 2 dynamics always at play: coaching & personnel. Our defense has several personnel issues (DLine & now Secondary), but Bowles still has them playing at a #5 ranking, yielding only 103 total points in 6 games (17.2 PPG average). Our offense has even more personnel issues, but isn’t dealing with them nearly as well. They’re currently ranked #21, having scored only 121 points (20.2 PPG average).

Personally I doubt there’s anything that Bowles can do to ‘fix’ the offense, even as the HC. If the Glazers, JL & BA wanted BL gone, he’d be gone already. Changing coordinators in the middle of the season rarely solves the ‘problem’ for more than a game or 2, if that. Getting Jensen back will surely help. Getting several others back close to 100% (Godwin, Gage, Julio, Brate) will help too. Getting our youngsters more experience will also help.

But turning BL into the best OC in the league ain’t gonna happen. We’ve seen what he can do when left on his own. Best we can do at this point is get him some help (cough, BA? cough, Tom Moore?) and for Brady to play a bigger role in game planning. And heck, it wouldn’t even hurt if JL did his job & brought back Suh, traded for a TE or OLineman, whatever.

And Joe, one thing you might want to explore is that NFL points per game this year is at its lowest level since 2009. As of 4 days ago, NFL teams are averaging 21.6 PPG (just a tad higher than what we’re averaging). The predominant theory (and it’s just a theory) is that defenses have been playing more and more two-high safeties in recent seasons, and the trend is holding even on early downs, when teams typically put a strong emphasis on stopping the run. This has caused QBs to throw intermediate & deep less often, forcing them to march down the field more methodically rather than via the big play. MAYBE that’s what has caught up to Tampa Bay early in this season?

  34. HC Grover Says:

    Call Payton

  35. ModHairKen Says:

    Bowles is a wooden Indian.

  36. alton green Says:

he has the same look as he did with the jets. How in ^%$# does h expect his team to be fired up when he looks the same if the game is tied or we are behind by 10 or ahead by 10. You nailed it ModHairKen

  37. alton green Says:

Well i’ve been watching for about 6 decades and i’ll have to admit i’ve never seen a HC like Bowles. That’s not a compliment. This usually happens when a team is “rebuilding” Think about that. TB 12, Evans, Godwin, Lenny, Scotty etc etc etc etc etc etc get it? It’s as though Bowles is waiting on the rapture. Todd, we don’t have time for you to “get it” Could it be worse? YES, it could be Hugh Jackson with Cleveland 1-31. I’m 71 yrs old. I don’t have time for you OJT (on the job training) you have a Gatlin gun on a deer farm DO YOUR FREAK’N JOB!!!!! I remember you smiled once. Like Frankenstein “he’s alive, he’s alive
