Fun Day For Bucs Offense Tomorrow?
October 15th, 2022This could be the breakout game for the Bucs offense.
The Bucs rank 19th overall offensively in points scored. They haven’t been that bad since lousy Lovie Smith polluted the sidelines.
(Fun fact: When lousy Lovie was at Illinois, his last defense in 2020 was his best, ranking 98th in the nation. Two years later, Bret Bielema has the Illini ranked No. 1 in the nation on defense).
Well, a lot might change tomorrow. Tom Brady has been heating up and is third in the NFL (through five games) in passing and leads the NFC. And when he has Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the field, look out.
Per Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, Brady with Evans and Godwin the last two games has been No. 1 in success rate, No. 5 in completion percentage and No. 2 in third-down conversions.
Conversely, Pittsburgh has allowed 28 plays of 20 or more yards, second-worst in the league.
Then throw in the fact that the best Steelers corner available tomorrow will be their No. 4 corner, and All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is out, too, look out!

Steelers have a great coach and this is a storied franchise. Be ready for another close game.

Tomlin is rah rah, not an X & O coach. The Steelers draft and develop players as well as any franchise. Watch out for Hayward, they move him around the line. Brady called him one of the best defenders he’s ever gone against. I think the bucs get to 30 tomorrow.

If the Bucs don’t score at least 28 tomorrow, it’s definitely time to worry. Really, they should score at least 35.

Bowelswich will find a way to keep the Steelers in it.

I keep saying it…this team needs Arians, period.

This is when BL goes ground and pound when the opposing teams starting corners are out. Just like passing the entire 4th qtr in Atl game when the obvious plan should be to burn the clock.

Listnfrmafar … I wouldn’t be surprised if we do run it around say a 40% run-pass ratio. Our defense is so depleted would hate to see them on the field any longer than absolutely necessary. Steelers will be doing a lot of running I have a feeling, especially if Shaq is out for the game.

Is Brate active?

41-3
Five td passes

The Steelers are 1-4
They’ve lost to the Browns and Jets
I think the Steelers done lost their Mojo, and are running on fumes.

This is not going to be fun. I think this will be a win, but something’s going to eff up the fun. I can feel it

OK. Show it.

Because our talent is superior to the Steelers, if we only play for 3 quarters at good effort we should cruise to a win. Let’s hope the quarter we as a team choose to relax isn’t the 4th quarter.
Barring major injuries or lots of turnovers, should be a Bucs win. Score doesn’t matter.

They’ve had moments the last two games when they started looking really good. This is definitely a game where they should put up over 30 and look real consistent most the game

That won’t cover. Joe’s are on a good hustle ( get us talking ish) we
Know what we see, get me to the bye week with no more loss.

Fun day if Bucs offense can block and run, freeing up variety that keeps D guessing. Get stuck in one dimensional pass-heavy, and Steelers know how to bring pass rush heat.
