Ring Of Honor Game For Bruce Arians Will Be Sunday Night, Oct. 2

August 13th, 2022

Bucco Bruce Arians

Get your Kangol Tropic hat ready.

Announced on tonight’s preseason game broadcast on WFLA-TV was the date for the Buccaneers Ring of Honor induction of the greatest head coach in team history, Bucco Bruce Arians.

It will be at halftime of the Sunday Night Football game, Chiefs at Bucs, on Oct. 2.

What a night that will be. The Licht House already was going to be electric with Patrick Mahomes and the not-so-mighty Chiefs in town. Not it’ll be super-charged by Arians night.

Joe wonders if Arians’ will take the exact same spot that formerly was occupied by canceled Jon Gruden?

  1. Buczilla Says:

Easily the best coach in our history. For what he has done on the sidelines AND (shoutout to defense rules) for his vision, plus actions in hiring minorities and women off the field, this man is a hall of famer in every sense of the word. These weirdos from boston can suck it. Arians is a man among boys and that includes that hobbit looking f’cker belichick. 😜

  2. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Everyone knew he should have been a head coach a lot earlier in his younger years. A diamond in the rough. I’ll be there coach to reign in the greatest Bucs coach of all time. Go Bucs!

  3. CrackWise Says:

Meh, Gruden is still number 1

  4. Goatfarmer Says:

    We’ll said boys.

Any haters should go flush their heads forcefully.

I already miss BA and so will the Bucs.

  5. David Says:

Nice. His name should be right next to Gruden. It’s still absolutely asinine that they removed Gruden‘s name

  6. Dapostman Says:

The coach who moved a kicker back 5 yards because he likes longer FG’s?

I’d say he’s the 4th best coach in team history.
    Dungy
    McKay
    Gruden
    Kangol

  7. Rod Munch Says:

What is the Bucs record when we do prime-time Ring of Honor inductions? By memory, it seems really bad.

  8. Long John Says:

Posthole reverse your list you will be much closer to the truth.

  9. Mike Says:

Wait…what? Comes to Tampa. Not great his 1st year. Gets the greatest qb of all time. TB12. Wins a Super Bowl. Can’t repeat. Gets promoted to Fan. And he’s going on the ring of honor??? Lol. Ok then.

  10. Ausgust 1976 Buc Says:

Not Bad timing at all Rod,

The Super Bowl Beatdown of the Chefs was his greatest win as the Head Coach, so actually very appropriate.

Yep the best Head Coach so far of the Bucs for sure.

    GO BA!! GO BUCS!!!!

Totally agree. If Tony would have actually believed in the “Forward Pass” maybe different, but he would not change his ways in Tampa. that took going to Indy.
Gruden came in and built an offense RB,. 3 TE, 2 WR, and used Tonys Defense to win a Super Bowl.
If only Tony would have been willing to do what Gruden did.
Then he would be ranked higher.
Again John brought in a starting RB, starting WR, Starting TE and 4 other big pieces on offense.
John did not win with Tonys team, John won with His offense, and Tony’s defense. If Dungy could have done they same thing John did, build an offense, but he did not and got fired because of it.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @Mike

Still won 13 games after not repeating. While the team was riddled with key injuries.

As to Gruden, I think removing him was wrong. He still brought us a ring…and frankly, Gruden said just as bad while he was the Tampa HC.

My favorite coaches in this order:

    Dungy (First pride)
    Arians (second ring)
    Gruden (first ring)

  13. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I also liked Dirk.

  14. Goatfarmer Says:

I liked Dirk too. Not a good head coach. Good offensive coordinator.

  15. Allbuccedup Says:

Should have an asterisk by his name saying had Tom Brady in his prime for two years. Agree with Dapostman.

  16. Listnfrmafar Says:

Ya, honor a guy that cost the Bucs a third SB. Arians ran the team in 2019, Brady 2020, battle struggle 2021 and the old man won but the team lost, ya award the man.

  17. VATom Says:

Congratulations Bruce. Doesn’t matter the player(s). His success was confronting the Jameis reality and then putting together two great years. He deserves it.

    Does the ROH mean nothing?
    BA does not belong there!
    James Wilder does !

  19. Listnfrmafar Says:

Apparently the ROH has a spot for a jester, in that case he’s a lock!

  20. Doc Says:

Instead of BA why not induct the fans in the ring of honor.

Wilder has belonged in there for at least a decade now.

BA and Wilder should be in there.

James Wilder is the best RB in the history of the Bucs,
HOF Lawrence Taylor said Wilder was the Best RB he ever played against.

  22. Listnfrmafar Says:

    Wilder yes, BA NOOOO!

  23. geno711 Says:

    BA very worthy.
    SuperBowl coach.
Best winning percentage of any Bucs coach.
Best recruiter of any coach in Bucs history.
Walked the walk and talked the talk when it came to diversity.
2nd best quotes behind John McKay.
Never liked a fullback — yes man. Glad less running than most!
Great family man with players, friends, less fortunate including The Arians Family Foundation.

John Mackay??? He’s got the best 1 liners
