Logan Ryan: Don’t Close Door On Rob Gronkowski, But…
July 22nd, 2022Joe isn’t sure how many folks saw Logan Ryan’s appearance on “Good Morning Football” today on NFL Network, but what an impressive guy.
Joe will have more later about that. But Ryan, who was foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski’s teammate for four years with the Belicheats, has a hunch Gronk is not done with football.
But there is a catch, as Ryan explained.
“I wouldn’t close the door,” Ryan said. “But I definitely think that he is at peace with his career. He is a Hall of Famer. Arguably the greatest tight end of all time.
“I’ve been with him. I have seen what he has been playing through and his body has been beat up through the years. He definitely leaves it out there.”
Another reason Ryan won’t slam the door on Gronk’s career? Ryan thought Tom Brady was done and put out a long “soliloquy” on social media praising Brady and what he meant to the game and how Brady will be missed.
We all know what happened 40 days later.

Of course not!
He’ll be back in time for the Playoffs if the season goes according to plan

What a great interview.
Makes you proud as a Bucs fan when they bring in intelligent players.
Once he understands the nuances of this defensive scheme and what the objectives are on any given play, he will be a tremendous asset.
This team could easily be my favorite team ever.
Can’t wait to see how this plays out this year.

Gronk-a-dsy……….everyone has an opinion on whether or not Gronk will return…..and, I’m quite sure we’ll hear all of them.

People don’t appreciate the beating Gronk has taken. From 4 arm surgery’s in one season, to a devastating multiple ligament knee injury, and multiple back surgeries. Not to mention the countless concussions. I think the rib/lung injury last year sealed it for Gronk. He has the rest of his life to think about. He has nothing more to prove. Superbowl champion, Hall of famer, and the best ever at his position.

Big fan of Gronk but done with this drama. If he decides at some point to come back and contribute, love to see it but the constant whining about his injuries is getting old, you don’t hear Jim Brown crying about how beat up he was.

Logan seems like the right kind of player that we need on the Bucs. Let us just hope he has plenty to be “selfless” about, this year.

41 days from Gronk’s retirement tweet is July 31.
Just sayin’…

Who knew Gronk was a drama queen in love with attention. I hope he is truly done so I do t think less of him. He is not as pivotal to the Bucs success as everyone makes him out to be. Brady is a entirely different story

He’ll come back when he wants. That’s who he is and what he does.

Gronk is either a man of his word or not. If he is not, then I hope the Bucs tell him, thanks but no thanks. Go back to the Patriots. Too many people effected by his indecisions. Enough already.

Listnfrmafar, Jim Brown was going up against lineman that were the same size as him. I’m done with the drama too, but the injuries are a huge part of it. If he would’ve remained healthy last year, I think he would’ve played this year. I appreciated the player too much to watch him carted off the field again.

Gronk never whined about his injuries. Jim Brown could run u over or run away from u, and always got up off the ground the same way (slow) so the defense couldn’t tell if he was injured or not . Best ever in my book.

What a great interview….I’ve heard Logan channels Ronde Barber……he reminds me of Ronde….talks like him, looks a bit like him and has that smile…
A very bright guy…experienced….glad he’s joined our secondary…they needed the vet leadership.

I believe Ryan wins the slot corner job over SMB.

To play, or not to play, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous game days,
Or to take stiff arms against a sea of safeties,
And send them all flying to the turf: to retire, to play
No more; and by play no more, to end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural pains
That flesh is heir to? ‘Tis a fine retirement
Devoutly to be wished.

Don’t close the door, but close the door.

Logan Ryan, coach on the field. Bowles can use the help.
