BSPN Scribe Says Fans Would Tune Raheem Out

Surely the result of exhaustive research, Vacation Man, aka Pat Yasinskas of BSPN.com, has concluded that there’s a sizable contingent of Bucs fans who have no interest in hearing from the team’s head coach.
In a post on his NFC South blog about an upcoming Falcons scrimmage, in which fans will hear a miked-up Atlanta coach Mike Smith, Vacation Man chose to take a shot at Raheem The Dream’s popularity, or lack thereof.
Can’t quite imagine Carolina’s John Fox or New Orleans’ Sean Payton doing this. If Tampa Bay tried it, some of the audience probably would tune Raheem Morris out.
Joe is perplexed. Joe enjoys listening to Raheem The Dream talk football, and about Bill Belichick, and about being your best self. In fact, Joe is always at the edge of his seat when Raheem The Dream starts talking.

I’m fine with hearing Coach Morris talking about the x’s and o’s of the defense and the actual game of football. He sounds coherent and completely knows what he’s talking about, and on that I don’t agree with Yasinkas.
What I have a problem with is hearing Coach Morris during press conferences and post-game press conferences. It’s during those that a lot of the time he’s an incoherent mess, and it makes me cringe and want Coach Gruden’s smirking face at reporter’s really dumb questions back. Last fall, there were general statistics about the team that Morris should have known that he couldn’t answer. He really should have just been the defensive coordinator first.

If we start 2-4 Joe, The players will start tuning Raheem out. Then you have to look at the possibility of who will be the intern coach?

the_buc_realist – It’ll take a lot more than 2-4 for Raheem to lose the locker room. Maybe at 2-9, but not 2-4.

I would love to hear the Dream during a scrimmage.
I also don’t think he will lose the team, they seem to play hard for him, especially late last season when mailing it in could have been understood.
Although, there might have been an element of self preservation there also, to avoid Cowher cleaning house.
Man, the more I look at that schedule, if they can’t win that Cleveland game it could get ugly real quick. Better improve those practices !

Your right Joe. I took a step back and looked at the big picture. We the team being so young, They will not tune out Raheem because they don’t know any better. Good thing we are dumping Vets. Maybe this is the plan. 🙁

Hoping for Bisacia to take over as head coach is a very blind leap of faith. Don’t get me wrong he is one of the strongests assets our team has but success as a special teams coach does not have any indication as a good head coach (just like being a good DB coach makes you capable of being a HC)
I’m not saying he would be bad but if you have every played one snap of special teams you would know that is a whole different game. Some of the best special teams players aren’t even capable back ups. Ya the ball is the same (mostly…kicking balls) but the mind set, techniques, etc are all different.
Your basically saying b/c Daniel Snyder was a successful business man he automatically becomes a great owner

I’m with BUC4LIFE24 – You Rah haters are a pathetic bunch. You so called Buc fans should switch to the Jags (or Dolphins) fans because they both need some. Try not to get a splinter in your butt while jumping off the bandwagon . . . and when the team turns things around (which WILL happen sooner or later), we will be listening for the pitter patter of your little feet chasing after the bandwagon again trying to jump back on and claim that you have been behind the team the whole time!

When Rah is talking, it is similiar to when your crazy drunk Uncle starts ranting at a family gathering. Everyone kinda just sinks lower in thier seats and prays he shuts up before he says something even MORE stupid and embarassing.

Thinking that the coach that cheap org hired is unqualified, embarrassing and leading this team in the wrong direction does not make you a hater – IT MAKES YOU A FAN!
You support when things are going great, you get angry when things are well 3-13. I agree that things WILL turn around but not under these bafoons – if we had Malcolm Glazer, Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden or someone equal or better I would be supportive but we have two bozos in charge and are heading to lionville. Believe it or not – the Lions are actually much better than this team.

I don’t believe it. The Lions aren’t better than this team. They were 2-14 last year. All I’m hearing from everyone is that these rookies we drafted are NOTHING until they get on the field and play, we can only judge by what happens on the field. If that’s the case, then the Bucs are better than the Lions by 1 win. If you want, I can qualify those wins in that the Lions beat only the Redskins and Browns last year, while the Bucs beat the Packers, Seahawks and the Saints. While many say the Saints had a spot locked up and had nothing to play for, the Packers definitely had something to play for and were also a playoff team last year. So, the Lions had 2 weak wins, the Bucs had 2 quality wins and 1 weak win. Until the Lions hit the field in 2010 and prove otherwise, the Bucs (with Rah, Dom, and the Glazers) are a better team than the Lions.

Rah Rah just loves to hear himself talk. Why? Because Rah Rah loves himself and really thinks he is the smartest coach in the biz. This is called hubris.
