College Coach Loves Bucs’ Pick Of Rachaad White
May 9th, 2022Later this week, Bucs rookies will show up at One Buc Palace for rookie minicamp.
Yes, this is underwear football. Dudes will be running around in shorts. No hitting of any sort. No blocking. No tackling. It’s the NFL’s version of flag football.
One unnamed PAC-12 coach doesn’t need to see Bucs rookie running back Rachaad White run patterns against cornerback Zyon McCollum, or see White try to dodge Logan Hall to know the Bucs got a good running back.
In a feature typed for BSPN, college football columnist Adam Rittenberg spoke with college coaches to get feedback on what draft picks they like most. An unnamed PAC-12 coach loved White.
Arizona State running back Rachaad White (third round, Tampa Bay): This year’s running back draft class wasn’t overly deep, especially after [Breece] Hall and [Kenny] Walker, but coaches liked Tampa Bay’s pickup of White, who eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards and had 456 receiving yards last season. He also showed big-play ability during the COVID-shortened 2020 season.
“You still see a lot of guys in the league that are third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks that end up making it, and he’s one of those guys,” a Pac-12 coach said. “He’s a physical runner, he’s a pass-protector and has a chance to be an every down back, even if he’s a No. 2 back.”
On paper White looks like a really good pick by Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht. Any time you can grab a potential three-down back on the second day of the draft it looks good.
Joe hopes White learns very quickly in training camp that NFL hitting is far different than in the soft PAC-12.
Used to being on top, but believe this is a first month that we’ve topped the others combined. 👈
A special thanks to all the fans for your support.

I have been following this website for over 10 years, and I appreciate the growth. I absolutely love Ira, I have been a fan since his Tampa Tribune days. Very impressive numbers!

Keep rockin it Joe’s, I love you guys. And tell them saints from now on, my draft picks are going to cost them lol.
Yeah I love the pick of White too. We have some solid depth now after this years SB run we’re about to make. Thats what a great GM does.
Jarvis Landry and Gronk please….lets get it done.

Not always the best content, but if nothing else Joe belts out the articles. I go on those other sites, but they don’t post the amount of content Joe does, whether it’s nonsense, or not. Anytime you click on Joe’s site, good chance you’ll be reading something new. Joe, you may not be the best scribe, but you certainly try the hardest. Keep up the constant work. Oh one other thing that makes your site stand out Joe. You still bother to banter back, and forth with your readers. The folks at PR could learn something from that. It’s always fun calling out the writer, and having the writer call you back out. Don’t ever lose that Joe.

White is going to be the best draft pick Bucs made , I love his skillset and what he brings to the team. However it seems that folks are catching on that Hall was major reach and Goedeke was projected at 3rd or 4th round and we took another FREAKING KICKER with a high pick. C- grade at best , too many reaches when you had the best LB in the draft right there at 27 , Devin Lloyd tape screams impact player and starter on Day 1 , LVD is not getting younger. All SEC left guard Ed Ingram was available at Goedekes pick and Goedeke was projected as 3rd or 4th round by everybody , so another huge reach. Special teams coach said it was the intangibles that made Camarda so attractive?? You walk on the field and punt and then you walk off the field , so if you can run fast and play baseball does not enamor me with a punter. Oh yeah , the Ray Guy award winner Matt Araiza was available , so another huge reach. Way too many question marks in this draft and not enough exclamation points.

Congrats to the Joes…..It’s all about supporting JBF advertisers….I don’t even visit other sites.’ll
As for White…..the more I learn the more I like.
As for the punter….he also excels at kickoffs and is a holder…..punted and kicked on the huge SEC stage & National Championships. And with the 4.5 speed he may be able to execute a fake punt or save a punt return TD by running down a PR.
I’ll trust Bowles on Hall & Licht on Goedecke….

There are some pretty astute observers of the Bucs scene on this site. (Not me.) Thanks for allowing most opinions; many good discussions appear here.

Rachaad White is going to be one of Brady’s favorite targets by week 4!! He’s a grinder with a lot of skills > upside. We won’t have to wait long for Rachaad to click w/the offense & tha GOAT #LFG

I can’t believe the Pewter plank gets that many visits. Has anyone ever made a comment on their message board? I can see JBF getting the most. But wow. Congrats. I probably spend equal time on this one and PR but visit JBF twice as often for the quick hit short articles. BN is a dumpster fire. The official site has gotten way better but it’s still State TV.

Watch the Jim Rome interview with Rachaad White…..then you’ll know why we drafted him.

By far, the main Bucs site I visit. No need to visit any other site for the latest Bucs news.
Rachaad White, in my opinion, is a bit tall for a running back, but then again, I do not know much about him.
