Is it possible Ali Marpet is waiting to in-retire for salary cap reasons? Idk how an unretired players salary cap effects the active cap, but would imagine that it would have to go on top/against of whatever the current cap situation is on the team. My point is, by him waiting to unretire say after free agency and roookie signings, would that allow us more flexibility now and then just go over the cap later. With the Bucs having his rights I’d assume we wouldn’t have to cut him or something? Idk just loooking for clarity

I’m going to enjoy this offseason even more than the regular season. I’m celebrating the big wins right now. Lombardi Lenny too. Woohoo. The regular season or playoffs could end in disappointment like last year but this offseason is nothing but wins baby.

On the 3 year contracts….one item not discusses was the cap flexibility they provide as versus shorter contracts.

@BuucccNASTY……I think Ali is just smarter than most players.
He went into this venture with a goal. A financial goal to support him and his family for the rest of their lives. Not only did he achieve that goal but went out with a SB and a Pro Bowl selection.
Smart people call that a very successful out. Only the passion driven would give up an ending like that.
