Not All Doom And Gloom For The Bucs

March 4th, 2022

Wiseguys chime in.

The Vegas wiseguys seem to know something most of us do not.

Joe can sense it from the comments on this here site. Let’s just say the prospect of Blaine Gabbert starting for the Bucs doesn’t move the needle.

And the Bucs could be cherry-picked badly in the coming weeks because the team has so many good players that are free agents. Tampa Bay could be on the verge of circling the drain, but the wiseguys don’t seem to get that vibe. BetMGM has the Bucs as the favorites to win the NFC South, even without Tom Brady, so says Saints beat writer Larry Holder of The Athletic.

.

General manager Jason Licht remined folks this week in Indianapolis that the Bucs are bringing back six Pro Bowl players. The cupboard is not bare. He’s got a great point.

Problem is, it appears the Bucs are going to be forced to turn to a quarterback who has been a career never-been to lead the team. That’s one helluva gamble.

It’s always a gamble. If we could predict the future imagine the errors everyone could avoid.
There is a laundry-list of QBs who either caught on late in their careers or flourished early on. All of which were predicted oppositely.
This is still a TEAM game and while QBs are extremely important, TEAMs can win without GOATs or Pro Bowlers.

Bucs Coattail riding coach Succo Bruce Arrogance.

Proud Butt Fan in love with BA, but it’s unrequited. So sad.

  4. SufferingSince76 Says:

Proud Butt Fan with nothing to say. Did BA return your flowers?

  5. Topdoggie Says:

They make money off the vig. The odds are set to balance the bets. Not based on who they think will win.

How can anything in REALITY be doom and gloom with a sports team. The crap being pulled by Putin puts anything going with a sports team, whether it is the Bucs or another team in a honest perspective.

The Bucs will be fine. They have good leadership. After watching sports since the early 1970’s, you realize that in every sport the are up and down cycles.
Even the Bucs who had the worst winning percentage for many years, has still won to Lombardis. The sky is not falling and life goes on for the Bucs franchise. They will be fine.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  7. Tony Says:

If we don’t have somebody decent at QB besides them only way we probably win that division is if the rest of the division starts their backups the whole year. Just can’t see it. We’re losing too much. Depending on the draft & FA.

  8. Niles Says:

Joe missed this nugget from Bruce Arians at the combine yesterday:

“I’ve got a year with Kyle,” Arians said. “Got to see Kyle every single day, watch him improve those nuances in the pocket, cause he ain’t afraid to stand in there. He can really sling it. He’s got all the throws.”

    Sorry, haters.

  9. Allen Lofton Says:

If we listen to every commentator who writes to get attention without factual evidence, we are doomed.

But the reality is Light and company had built a team that enticed TB to join.

Slow down everyone, things will play out the best way possible when you have competent leadership in the front office and a coaching staff working together to put the best team on the playing field.

It will still be a good scenario for the Bucs

  10. Wild Bill Says:

Odd that New Orleans who have beat us repeatedly are ranked slightly below us.

  11. Steven007 Says:

Proud Buc Troll with not a single meaningful thing to say every single day. What a miserable life his must be.

  12. THOMAS PFALZ Says:

I believe half of what BA says, the rest is BS. That goes for Licht too.

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

Bruce says Trask can make all the throws. Well, Most QB’s can. But can he do it with an athletic 300 pounder barreling down on him. We shall see.

  14. View from 132 Says:

Says more about how bad the division is… we will be the NFC East next year. Host a Wild Card at 7-9-1.

  15. QB1 Says:

Gabbert willl not lead us to the postseason. He’s a bum.

  16. Tony Says:

Gabbert couldn’t even lead a flag football team to the postseason right now either. Only way he might lead a football team to the postseason is by playing Madden & even that is probably a little questionable, too!

  17. Buccaboo Says:

Mike Evans made Johnny “rotten” Manziel a first round pick. Bring on Trask and lets see how it goes. If he is awful, we’ll get a higher pick next year to draft another one

  18. Destinjohnny Says:

    Gabbert led Bucs….
    5 wins
