Broncos podcaster fed up with Teddy Bridgewater
Joe gets the shivers each time he hears Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians prop up Teddy Bridgewater as a guy that can lead the Bucs to glory.
Joe thinks Bridgewater is a backup, plain and simple. He’s been with three teams the past three years. Shouldn’t that tell folks something?
Well, Tuesday at the Indiana Convention Center (nee: Hoosier Dome) in Indianapolis, where the NFL is holding its winter festival known as the combine, the “Ira Kaufman Podcast” is at Radio Row. At a table next to where the “Ira Kaufman Podcast” is assigned by the NFL is a podcast that covers the Broncos called “DNVR Denver Broncos Podcast,” The pod is hosted by Broncos and NFL credentialed reporters.
Joe could overhear their pod and co-host Zac Stevens is very down on Bridgewater as a starting quarterback, and he dreads the thought of the Broncos bringing Bridgewater back for 2022.
“The Broncos cannot afford to bring Teddy Bridgewater back,” Stevens maintained. Stevens also campaigned for rotten runaround quarterback Marcus Mariota to replace Bridgewater if the Broncos cannot find a worthy starter to replace Bridgewater.
Things must be awful in Denver if they are ready to stoop to Mariota’s level to replace Bridgewater.
Now if Bridgewater isn’t good enough for a loser team like the Broncos, why would anyone think he could be the answer for a team like the Bucs, where the shot-callers think they have one more year left in that Super Bowl window to make a run?

All you have to do is watch Bridgewater play to be way down on him.
He sucks.
He’s got a limp arm and is afraid to throw the football. Yes, years ago he carved up one of the worst pass defenses in the history of the NFL when he played the Bucs, but he stinks, he’s not any good, anyone who wants him literally has no idea what they’re talking about, unless they’re wanting the Bucs to go 6-11 and be the most boring team in football.

Bridgewater = Gabbert….But neither is the answer, unless the question is how to guarantee Bucs end up with a top10 pick in 2023.

The Broncos are a team that could be in the SB if they managed to get Aaron Rodgers. It just shows what having two below average QBs does to a team.

I watched a lot of Bronco games the past few years. Bridgewater is garbage, and if he came instead of Brady we would’ve cleaned house last year.

Agree with you, at least in BA’s offense. Bucs would have to ‘reinvent’ our offense to fit Bridgewater (ya, like that’s gonna happen).
Broncos have a good defense (ranked #3 last year), but their offense is just meh. And it’s NOT just because of their starting QB. Looks to me like they’re a plodding offense that can’t sustain drives (meh on converting 3rd down) & weren’t very good at scoring once in the Red Zone (the killer). It’s easy for some to just blame Bridgewater for not being The GOAT, but Denver’s problems on offense are deeper than Bridgewater. The difference between Red Zone Attempts (15) & Red Zone Effectiveness (11.5%) for the 2 teams is rather significant. So is the difference in 3rd Down Conversions (11%). Denver’s bigger problem IMO is that they DIDN’T have weapons named Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Antonio Brown. And oh ya, they didn’t have The GOAT either. Hmmm, come to think of it, neither do we now.

They both never did much with their opportunities. Physically it’s not even close, Gabbert is the bigger, stronger man. We have recent tape on Teddy, and it’s not good. Gabbert hasn’t started a game in years. The hope will have to be that given this last chance for his career he can do something with it. If not, he can at least be the bridge for Trask, because he does know the offense as well as any coach. Buc fans need to get use to it.

There’s only 2-3 QB’s (of the remotely available) we could bring in who’d beat step up from Gabbert/Trask, and Teddy isn’t one of them

Part of the problem with Denver’s offense is Bridgewater’s unwillingness to push it down the field, which is a staple of the Bucs offense.
