Five!
March 1st, 2022Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians went King Kong Bundy for the national NFL media today at the NFL’s winter carnival known as the combine in downtown Indianapolis at the Indiana Convention Center (nee: Hoosier Dome).
For those not aware, King Kong Bundy was a famous wrestler, a mountain of a man, who demanded that referees use a five-count when he pinned his heel of an opponent, rather than the standard three-count. So as a result, Bundy would mercilessly beat up his opponent senselessly to secure the difficult five-count.
So Arians pulled a WWF routine.
Today when Arians stood at the podium to be prodded and quizzed by NFL reporters from all over the country, if not internationally, Arians was asked what would be the asking price if Tom Brady said he wanted to return but instead play for another team.
Arians pondered the question for a second and then responded, “Five No. 1s. Maybe.”
When asked if he would be open-minded to Brady playing elsewhere, Arians quipped that it’s “not good business” to let the greatest quarterback of all time go.
Arians also said if Brady had a change of heart and wanted to play return to the Bucs, Arians said “the door is always open” for Brady. And before you ask, Arians said they would find the money for Brady.
Now before anyone gets too excited, Arians said in an interview session with local media that he and Brady had a conversation where Brady explained to Arians why he wanted to retire. Arians would not divulge the details but based on what Brady told him, Arians said he understands why Brady would retire and is convinced Brady is done.

I’ll be happy when the click generating Brady crap becomes old news. He’s retired. Until he says otherwise, he’s not coming back. Can we move on now?

I’d rather Brady come back this summer and if he didn’t want to be a Buc, trade him for a qb and a pick… Like to the raiders for Carr and a 2nd, Rather than him come back next summer and say he wants to go somewhere else and get nothing.
If he doesn’t want to be a buc, so be it, he did enough for us to do what he wants now.

Just to make sure I’ve got this right: BA ‘is convinced Brady is done’ BUT … he wants ‘Five No. 1s. Maybe’ to allow Tom to play for another team IF he’s wrong. Yup, makes sense to me.

They should trade his rights while they are still valuable right now before the draft and rebuild aspect of the defence and oline using picks.
Miami (2x1st) if possible. or Carr swapped for Brady.
Having a playoff QB or 2 first is better than a retired QB bringing now value.

I am those once that think TB12 is done….
But, in case he is not, and he wants to come back, I would want a lot in exchange , unlike so many experts say that the Glazer’s to show appreciation to TB12 will ask for small potatoes….
If we have the rights, and somebody wants him, they should pay!!

Or trade Brady for 2 first to Miami, use them to get Watson and gamble on his return in 2022.

Five number ones
Worth it.

Howard is thinking maybe 7 first round picks: One for each ring

Just checked again. Brady is retired.
Trade speculation is hypothetical only — Bruce saying 5 #1’s is just playing along, like what value he places on Brady. I think he was pretty unequivocal in his evaluation, understandably.
But I just checked yet again. Brady is retired.

* Scenario 1 : Giselle wins
* Scenario 2: GOAT takes a year off and goes to 49ers or Dolphins
Bucs and their lax culture are not Bradys cup of tea

Brady whipped them into shape for a year but then (as usual) the Bucs always return to their true nature

Multiple stories have leaked stated he wanted to play for another team in 2022, his retirement surprised Tampa and others, and was done very simply thru a IG post. It clearly wasn’t a genuine retirement. It was attempt to move to a different team without going full Kyler Murray/Watson/Rodgers and demanding a trade.
The most recent story is he wanted to go to Miami, his new home is in Miami.
He has a no trade clause, so rights cannot be traded without his approval. He might become a co owner of Miami at some point.
However, a player returning from retirement, whom would bring Gronk, and maybe other FA to Miami, and play in a division with Patriots would be NFL gold for storylines and ratings.
But yes if he stays retired his rights cannot be traded as he has no trade clause so he would have to agree to the trade.

Is that a picture of Bruce Arrogance?? Dude has really let himself go. Life will be so much better when this phony retires. In fact can he retire and TB 12 come back?
March 1st, 2022 at 2:55 pm
Checked again.
Still retired.
March 1st, 2022 at 2:55 pm
@ buddy
That would work!
Make GOAT the QB and HC

His answer is as obnoxious as the question.
AS SERIOUS BUCS FANS …
Let’s agree to stop entertaining topic unless something actually comes from TB12’s camp.

Ask for 7 No. 1’s and settle with 4-5
March 1st, 2022 at 3:32 pm
Checked again. Still retired.

Thing is guys, he cant’ ‘un’- retire without us trading him. We own him if he wants to come back.

Tampa should be begging Brady to return and seek a trade, it would give the team the chance to trade up for a new QB or a few good picks in the draft to replace older talent or picks to trade for a QB. Those players may last 5-10y on Tampa v. One more year with Tom under contract.

Fix that dam secondary coach! Maybe you can lure him back!
