“He Looks Like He Did Before He Got Hurt”
December 22nd, 2021The quote in the headline speaks loud and proud.
Furniture-hurling, bicycle-throwing Bucs receiver Antonio Brown is back and healthy, Bucco Bruce Arians said after practice today.
Brown was full-go today but Arians wasn’t speculating how much work Brown will get Sunday at Carolina. However, he was putting a number on it earlier this week, 35 snaps was the max projection.
Mike Evans (hamstring) did not practice. For those who just returned from an Internet-free island off the coast of Aruba or a cruel COVID quarantine, Chris Godwin is done for the 2021 season with a blown ACL. Evans pulled his hamstring Sunday night, as did Leonard Fournette, who is done for the regular season.
The Bucs can lock up the NFC South crown with a win Sunday. It’s an all-in kind of game and Arians just detailed frustration with three of his second-tier receivers.
Man, imagine if the Bucs had cut Brown and he signed yesterday with the Saints or Packers. The thought gives Joe the shivers.

Imagine if we cut Brady after Sunday’s game and he got signed by the saints. SHIVERS

AB was never going to be cut! I think it’s funny hearing the talking heads say that losing Godwin was a big reason when the decision was made and discussed on SNF before kickoff!
We have the talent to win out and make a run, the questions is will BL get creative with his play calling or will we see the same crap that kills drives?! Motion with AB, scooter, and BP!

Arians is definitely trying to nurse his severely wounded and demoralized team back to health, praising everyone when everyone not of the defense sucked out loud. Good, get them encouraged to bring some juice to Charlotte and maybe limp away with a 12-10 win if Succoff could make a FG kick.

So why the limited amount of snaps then? Especially considering your top 2 starting WR’s are out and no one really stepped up or got open versus man coverage like BA said…
That makes literally ZERO sense to me. Something is a lie, something is amiss or something is just not adding up here
December 22nd, 2021 at 1:35 pm
Fantastic. Watching this guy play is like watching a crotch rocket on a curvy road. So much smoother and tighter than everyone else.
December 22nd, 2021 at 1:38 pm
We are gonna be OK, AB will see to that!
He has a knack for getting open, and Brady TRUSTS him!
We will come out of Carolina division champs.

Limited amount of snaps because he hasn’t played in 2 months. Sheesh some of the ignorance on here.

Can’t wait!!!

Since somebody brought up kickers , did you know Matt Gay in the last two years has made 42 of 45 field goals? Some of you so called fans are now trashing ROJO as you did Matt Gay. I bet you sure would like Matt Gay back, and when ROJo leaves and puts up 1,500 yards of total offense for some other team you will want him back also. You now who you are, and your just bullies as you were all your life. Wake up and start supporting the players.

Swampbuc makes some good points. Curious if Joe has an inside scoop on where player’s heads are after laying an egg and all the major injuries. Demoralized? Something now to prove? Indifferent? … 2 of those 3 options don’t bode well.
December 22nd, 2021 at 2:40 pm
Then why didn’t Gay kick better when he was here? The Bucs didn’t cut him. HE cut himself. Bucs gave him how many chances to secure the job?
December 22nd, 2021 at 2:43 pm
Brady won’t let them sulk, he’s been here before, so has Gronk, AB, JPP and whoever else had a ring before last year. He maybe part-time but he was the best before he went down and he has some trust to build with the fans. That boy is going off unless Evan’s sits, then he’s doubled.

Has the federal endictment of the saints surruptitious bounty program been made public yet?
Saints = fundamentally evil

Joe, If you can’t figure out why he didn’t kick well while he was here there is no hope for you. Many fans made fun of him because of his last name. Don’t you think the players read articles. Joe is not at liberty to share, but Joe typically learns a lot about players once they’re gone and there were issues with Gay that led the Bucs to question his commitment. Not a slam on Gay. He missed kicks. He needed a change of scenery, got it, and has thrived. –Joe
Don’t you think the same think happened all his life. Ever hear the song The Boy Named Sue. Obviously he feels more comfortable and is performing at an all pro level in a more supportive place. I sure wish he was my kicker.

As a fair weather fan I predict they lose the last 3 games. Yes I know the Jets are in there.
This team is crippled. Mentally and physically.
Too bad. I woulda loved to get there again.

Aubpierce
I’ve somewhat been saying for a long time RoJo will go to a running team that will use him and rack up serious yardage. Finally finding a decent kicker was maybe the second best to Brady and Sucopp has done a fine job.

Joe why did you close the comments section on your “Feast with Hooters” post? Everyone on this blog loves them some Hooters! Their wings are second to none. There is nothing better than watching the Bucs win at our local Hooters.
December 22nd, 2021 at 9:21 pm
@aubpierce. What in the world are you talking about? The Bucs spent a valuable draft choice on him so they were all in. I think I am pretty dialed in to my fellow fans as being a long term season tix holder and I never heard a fan say anything closely resembling your assertion. As was stated before the young man sealed his own fate as he couldn’t do his only responsibility here which was put the ball through the uprights when asked especially the south end of his home field. The issue was in his head not the fans. That is great he is succeeding elsewhere but an aspiring championship level team can’t have a kicker that is a liability.
December 22nd, 2021 at 10:43 pm
So, anybody want to bet AB is out again by the end of the season, either due to injury or another off field screw up?
Still sick to my stomach about the physical and mental beatdown by the saints. All I can hope for is that the Eagles or Vikings knock the despicable Saints out of the playoffs (assuming TB can eke out one more win and win the division).Everybody is calling Brady a bad sport, but at least he had the temerity to get pissed at what was going down. Seems the rest of the team just gave up.
December 22nd, 2021 at 10:49 pm
Oh and don’t forget.the coaching staff.
Nobody except the fans even seem incensed about what went on. I want to see some fire from both the players and the coaching staff.
